Me and a few of my friends went to get our nails done like one does and it took forever to finally get started on our set. One we did we got someone who was in TRAINING and she literally made our cuticles BLEED. And after the service our nails looked hideous. They cracked within 24 hours and started coming off about 3 days later. Would not recommend unless you have any terrible service and bloody cuticle. read more

Did someone say pedis? This is without a doubt the best nail salon I've been to in Lafayette. They are friendly and funny and bring me ice cold water bottles when I'm seated in that oh so relaxing massage chair. I never feel like they are rushing through my pedi and always leave feeling like I'm floating on air. Really. The $30 pedi will get your old polish removed, a great soak and hot stone massage on your calves (oh yeah) and new cute toenails. 1 week nail update: my nails look so gross. They look more than just 1 week old. I do NOT recommend. The pedicure & manicure was very subpar and seemed rushed. It wasn't a very relaxing experience. I got the dip nails & the surface is so uneven :( I also had to file them (for the uneven shape of each one) after having them refiled at the salon. Definitely overpriced for mediocre work. Go to Palace Nail Spa & Lounge for a better experience and much better work--you'll pay the same price there. read more

Being busy is no excuse for exceptionally subpar service. If you don't have time to get me out of there within a set timeframe (an hour and a half) please just tell me and I'll come back...don't rush thru and send me out the door with trash nails that look terrible. PSA. IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR NAILS OR WHERE YOU PUT YOUR MONEY INTO I'D SUGGEST READING THIS BEFORE TAKING YOUR BUSINESS TO WORLD NAILS WITH MIKE. So I'd like to start off and say I'm not one to complain. I do my research before getting my nails done. I was recommended here and seen the reviews were decent so I decided to come to world nails. ( I didn't want to wait because my baby showers Sunday and I called Johnny at Cathys nails and he was booked up so I'd definitely recommend him if you don't mind waiting a bit for good nails he worth it for sure.) To start off I got a mani & pedi . Pedi was decent and then Mike came over to start on my acrylics. I told him I use to get them done all the time. He asked where. Everywhere I told him he bashed. Saying "oh no you don't need to go there they ghetto." When I told him about me going to Johnnys he started laughing and said "I'm more gay then Johnny" not sure what that was suppose to mean beings Mike isn't gay and not sure what someone's sexual preference has to do with nails. Anyways I just let it go. My acrylics is where everything went wrong. To start off the shape was TERRIBLE. I asked for oval shaped. I'm a cosmetologist. I studied nails as well and everything about what he did was off and completely incorrect. I noticed a few flaws , asked him to fix it and he attempted too. One thing I noticed was the acrylic wasn't spread evenly. It was super high in some places and dipped in , in others. Even after filing. It still wasn't fixed but I was going to accept it because I had my fair share of messed up nails and it wasn't horrific I had a long day and I was ready to go. Well I noticed some glitter on one of my nails came completely off so I asked for them to put some more glitter. His wife came and tried then buffed it all off. I told her when she buffed my nails the glitter came off again. Well she put a clear coat on the nail and then attempted to WIPE THE CLEAR COAT OFF WITH A PAPER TOWEL. You guessed it. The towel ripped off onto my nail. And left a weird texture. At that point I asked for the nails to be removed. Her husband (Mike) came by and asked what happened. I told him what happened. I also stated that I'm not trying to be mean but I'd like the nails to be removed because they were too far gone and my baby showers coming up. I didn't want my nails to look how they did for my shower. He refused to take them off he said he would fix them. I told him they're too far gone and I'd like them to please be removed. He said no. He's not taking off what he worked on the whole time with a CRAPPY attitude. I started tearing up and tried to explain to him I'm not one to complain but I have a big day coming up please remove them so I don't have to pay more to get them taken off (I'm pregnant and frustrated and don't want to spend money on something I hate especially when I'm having the baby shower for my first child in a few days.) He told me he would kick me out if I wouldn't stop not "cooperating with him" which I was doing. I told him I don't want to cause a scene because It's embarrassing. He then jerked my hand and started to paint my nails and talking to his coworkers. He refused to do a refund or take them off until my mother got there to explain to him this is not what I wanted and we weren't leaving without a refund. He then gave me my refund. While walking up I told him I'm not trying to cause problems I just don't want this for my baby shower. He put his hand up to make me stop talking. I will NEVER EVER go here again and I will be calling state board to tell them my experience and how unprofessional they are and how they run their shop. It was the worst beauty experience I've ever had. I'd never give them my money again and I'll definitely be sharing my experience with EVERYONE. How unprofessional for a man to run his business the way he's doing. Him and his wife may want to fix their attitude fast because I don't see them getting far acting the way they do. My friend also did her nails and they tried talking her out of almost everything she wanted. And her result wasn't pretty either. My nails looked like watermelon seeds and hers looked like paint globs. My nails are pink and gold hers is white. read more

People are very nice, the place is spotless and the price is very reasonable. I will definitely come again.

My only complaint is that I wish that there were more nail techs who do the dip powder so that the wait wouldn't be as long but other than that they did an AMAZING job on my nails! They did way better than most of the salons I go to in Dallas who charge twice as much! The gentleman who did my nails got the shape and ombré color that I wanted correct which the previous salon I went to did not. I love this place and it will be my go to salon when I'm visiting Lafayette. read more

Clearly rivals top salons in the Dallas/Frisco area. They do NexGen/powder dip manicures at an excellent rate. Great, friendly staff! I'd like to transport them to Frisco! I've found my salon when I am traveling to Lafayette. read more

I went to World Nails several times, and was mostly satisfied. At the last appointment, I asked for gel polish with my acrylic nails, and they suggested I get solar nails. I told them I had tried the solar nails there before at their suggestion, and I preferred gel. They insisted that I wanted solar. I nicely asked for gel, and they told me (rather than suggested) that I really wanted solar. I have not been back since. read more

I was in town and needed a last minute mani/pedi. I called ahead and they said there was no wait so I told them I was on the way. When I got there they put me in a chair right away and got my feet in the water but it was 25 minutes before I was served. I was so frustrated because they essentially got me stuck in the chair and had lied to me about there not being a wait. The pedicure was nice once it actually happened but I had to rush them on the manicure since I was on a time crunch and they didn't give me the full service (no cuticles, massage, etc) but still charged me for full service. It was pricey compared to other salons in Lafayette so I would have expected better overall service. Wouldn't go back unless you get there right when they open so you don't have to wait. read more
