Making an appointment was easy to do online, you can pick your stylist you want and services you would like to add. It did take awhile but I have long hair. My stylist was super knowledgeable and helped me make an informed decision on going with the color I originally wanted vs her suggestion based on my concerns of wanting to keep my hair healthy. What I wanted, a bang trim, some face framing pieces and some layers. I didn't get what I asked for. The few framing pieces I already had and liked she cut them off into a blunt bang. I'm actually really embarrassed to go to work tomorrow, the bangs are so short and blunt, no shape and they are hard to Bobby pin up, I just wanted a bang trim and face framing pieces. I also paid $67 and I had to ask her to style it, she left it fully frizzy with no style. I was expecting a little more than offer air dry and I asked her to blow dry it. I ended up going on the floor and using some frizz serum because she didn't do a nice job on my hair with the cut and styling it. I was really embarrassed to be in the store and just embarrassed to go home to show my family. I know it will grow out, but I was so excited for some face framing pieces. I've given this Ulta Beauty salon two chances, and both experiences were unacceptable. The first time, I booked an eyebrow wax and tint . On the day of my appointment, the stylist called and asked me to come in early because she had double booked herself. I agreed and showed up early, only to be handed off to a completely different person who tried to pass herself off as the stylist I originally booked with. That alone felt dishonest and unprofessional. The second time, I booked the same service with a different stylist, thinking it was a one-off issue. Once again, I received a call saying she was double booked and needed to reschedule. Both times, I was told it was because they had hair appointments that took priority. So I have to ask--are eyebrow services not worth their time or money? Because that's exactly how this made me feel. This has now happened twice, and I'm furious. Salon services should not be treated as disposable or less important, especially when customers plan ahead and adjust their schedules to accommodate the staff. I will never come here again for any salon service. And if this weren't the only Ulta in town, I wouldn't come here at all. Do not book salon appointments here unless you're okay with being canceled on last minute. This location clearly prioritizes money over basic respect for customers. read more

I have had 2 encounters with Manger(male) and unsatisfied customer. I purchased a expensive curling iron, and the wrong one was in box, when I went back he didn't care of my concerns, he didn't even offer a different store or try and call them or check stock. I was very unhappy with his service. Another incident I had purchased urban decay primer for my face, I love the product and the cap broke. I didn't even drop it and bottle was practically full. He said cuz it was past 60 days couldn't do nothing. Bottle was expensive. It's one thing to be out out of return date on items but but another one to just show that you don't care at all. This manager so not compassion or take any pride in his work or a big company. It's very disappointing someone like him can be representing of Ulta beauty. I will never go back to hemet location. I'm 63 and always get my hair done, Since I couldn't drive due to leg injury, I needed a local place. Each time, I spent between $ 125-$200. Never can you get a repeat stylist, as the turnover is constant! There are 3 chairs for waiting clients in salon. They are taken by boyfriends; children, not for clients. Last visit my 2:45 appt. WAS AT 3:20 when I got seated. No apologies! WORST PART, Stylist to my right had laryngitis and said she got a steroid shot, leg compression socks, cough medicine from Dr. She constantly coughed on me and her client! I will NEVER return to Salon! I am with runny nose and sore throat! And VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH MANAGER OF SALON! All I got from her is apologies! Extraordinarily Perfect! I had an item to return and the contents were discolored so initially they refused the return. However, Sales Manager "MIchelle" went above and beyond and checked the shelves for the same item and determined that that lot number of items were in the same discolored separation of the contents. It was her customer-centric approach that led to me being able to prove that what I was returning had in fact been purchased that way and so I happily received a refund. I haven't been to this location in a while as I had a bad experience in the past. I decided to give the salon Services a try again this past Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Let me tell you the salon was super busy and packed due to the black Friday sales. I scheduled Services with Amanda, one of their master stylists. She went way above and beyond my expectations. I will definitely be frequenting this location just to go back to her, even though I had quite a wait. when my turn came into the chair, she was very attentive to detail. She work wonders with my hair. She is worth every second I had to wait and then some I cannot stress how confident I felt walking out of that salon. She is definitely a master at her craft. If you are on the fence about trying Ulta Services, go to her and you won't be disappointed, she is the gold standard and what we should expect a stylist to be. I WAITED 9 MONTHS to see Malina and get a haircut and I finally was able to show up after numerous cancellations because of THREE MAJOR surgeries since last October 2023 which was my neck. First time into this location, rude customer service when trying to check out multiple employees (4 of them) just standing their having a conversation while 1 is the only register open. I walk up waiting for a few mins then they turn around a notice a line forming on the opposite side of me the worker says "we need a sign to say line starts here! Who's next?" A lady asks me if I'm in line and I said yes I am and have been then she walks off to that employee and the employee tried to say she was in line before me and he will help me after he's done with her, none of these employees had name tags on either! The other employees didn't bother to open another register just kept walking back and fourth. The first register that was open from the beginning helped me check out and asked me if I have a number with you guys and I said no and I don't want too and she tried to continue asking me for a phone number and saying it will be faster and I told her no because after this service I will not be back. It took 7 days to get to me and they don't honor their sale price for return or exchange but they want you to order online. I made an appointment with Sylvia at the Ulta Beauty in Hemet, CA., for a root touch-up, highlighting, and trim. I was satisfied with the results. As she explained my cut and highlights, she said the highlights were not permanent and that the honey blonde would still be there with 13 washes of the previous highlights. I called Ulta and spoke with the Manager and explained that my grey roots were showing and was the root touch-up was a wash-out dye too? She said no, that it would be permanent. I am never going to this Ulta ever again. The displays here are unkempt and super chaotic. I had to get on my knees and pull out handfuls of random product that had been removed from their original place and shoved into random crevices just to see the one product I came for. Not one store employee asked if I needed help or offered to fix the mess. When I came in, products were pre-opened and left on the floor to be bought, BUT NOT to be swatched. Michelle, the Retail Manager, chewed me out for swatching lipstick in the cosmetic store. I was made to feel so small and belittled. She was so incredibly disrespectful, demeaning and accusatory. She then kept those same products there for people to still buy after telling me that they will need to be thrown out after being used and that I was under no circumstances able to swatch them. Which is it? I was honestly too stunned to even say anything. She said if I was swatching then I must have opened all her products, I just let it happen, hardly got a word in. I am amazed that this kind of speech and behavior towards customers is a first resort before easy communication, cleaning displays, or removing pre-opened products so that customers know what to expect when they come in. Every single time i walk into this Ulta there are employees on the floor standing around having conversations with each other, being unhelpful to customers. Today i go in with my mom and we are looking at some lip products ...there were NO testers of ANY shades out (even though there was plenty of product in stock as well as employees having a little chat, not working, who could be possibly be ...i don't know ? making tester shades or helping customers ?! ) naturally i opened a box to JUST look at shades (mind you i'm not trying shades on) ...since there were no testers out (how else am i supposed to figure out what shade i would want to purchase?) instead of being helpful, a girl (who i think is a manager in a orange blazer) comes up to us and tells us to "not open the boxes" & asked me to give the product to her. I had explained that there was no testers out, and she informed me she would go and make some... then proceeded to take people at the register without asking anyone to help me. I felt uncomfortable as well as not important enough to help. i will never be coming to this location any more.
