Found Fringe Hair Lounge by accident but it was a happy accident. Called to see if they take walk-ins and they do but ended up making a same day appointment. Let me tell ya...AMAZING ! I hope Im not butchering her name, but I had the honors to have Afia cut my hair . I came in just for a cut and having a short bob I wanted it a certain way but didn't know how to ask for it . She listened and gave her a reference photo. She gave me the best shampoo massage EVER and my hair hasn't look this great in so long. Definitely will return. I was looking for someone to fix a hair color gone VERY wrong, think splotches of Ronald McD, when I called Fringe & was placed with Lynn. She started texting me...send a photo, tell her what I wanted & why I hated what I had. She set an appointment for this morning. Again after I arrived, we discussed my hair, my expectations and what she could & couldn't do. I told her that continuing to be "bright" blonde at my age was fooling nobody & I wanted to grow older gracefully & let my grey shine. I walked out of there 3 hours later a changed woman with a stylist I will go to until she retires or I kick the bucket, whichever comes first and my next appointment set. I was very nervous since I had cancer 5 years ago and lost all my hair and my hair was medium length and I had only cut it one when my hair was almost to my waist but this was the first time putting a chemical in my hair but glad I got Bree she is great she also put layers since my hair was one length. I personally recommend Lynn, I met her when she used to work at a previous salon, so for someone to follow a hairstylist wherever she goes says a lot. She is friendly, caring, and she won't lie to you, she will be honest in telling you if the color you want will look nice on you or not and will recommend colors, she will also recommend a hairstyle, I personally wanted to have highlights but she was nice to tell me all the pros and cons because of my curly hair, then she let me decide and I said no, she could have just said yes to get the money as well but she didn't. Made an appointment with Lynn. I arrived at my appointment time, 9am. Someone came out the back and stated that Lynn was in the back with someone else. Waited more than 15 minutes, and there no update. I left. On my way home, Lynn messaged me apologizing for being late and asking if I wanted to reschedule... she should have messaged prior to the appointment or at the very least have the receptionist notify me. I have been here one time prior when it was Rumors and really liked it. I scheduled a haircut just to get a feel for the stylist.... what a total waste of time and gas. My hair dresser is Amanda and I love her work. I knew her from Cutting Edge as my old hairdresser referred me to Amanda. I have been with her now since 2017. Amanda is very talented and especially when it comes to coloring. I have referred her to sooo many people and they all love her. She is straight up with you which is good cuz I want the truth if something will look good or terrible on me. I pay good money to get my hair done and she is worth every penny of it. And I am very very picky and I have never had a problem if I wanted it lighter or darker when she was done and that's not her fault it's all me cuz I'm so picky. Even me being like that she still does my hair cuz she wants me to be happy. I'm so blessed to have a hair dresser like her! And the salon she is at is beautiful and everyone there is so nice and friendly. Give her a try and tell her i sent you. I have never heard a complaint from anyone I have sent to her. I have almost waist length hair that had a box color in it, so we had to strip it of color, bleach, tone and dye it. She was so patient and nice throughout all of it! Explained why we were doing whatever it was and how long each step was gonna take. It took a long time like almost 8 hours, but the end product way surpassed what I imagined it would be.
