He went through his little tutorial of each wine, what was in it, what you could smell or taste. My daughter asked him about stronger wine's which he was happy to go into detail about. They had a barrel wine, which my daughter loved, then I had to ask "hey do you have a port". Yes they do, a delicious, exquisite, red port and a white port. I purchased one. Oh and the little shareable menu please try their homemade hummus. It was delicious. I will be coming back here for our anniversary to stay at one of the villa's. And don't forget to stop in the gift shop there were so many cute things in there.

Even on a nice Saturday afternoon during brunch hours, it wasn't too crowded or busy at all. We mostly stayed in the tasting room then went in the member's lounge for bit before taking a walk outside. It's pretty spacious, attracting more of a mature older crowd, if that's your thing. The staff we encountered were all enthusiastic. They even had a taco guy there near the member's lounge which was great- they had a mushroom taco for my veggie people and a cheese quesadilla for the vegetarians. While I had a good time, I'm not sure I'd ever come back here. It wasn't bad, just nothing compelling me to come back-especially since I'm not a drinker, just came to explore with some friends. I'm particularly looking for the winery with the best brunch menu and an interesting crowd of people, which I didn't find here. If you enjoy wine, good scenery and a somewhat lokey spot where you can get out, yet, still have some space to yourself and escape the crowds, this is probably the winery for you.

It's a small place - and street parking can be tricky. But I was fortunate to get a spot right out front. I stepped inside and saw the various containers of products and was pleased. Not only were there things that I use every day, but the prices were ridiculously affordable. Isela (theeee sweetest person) gave me a brief, but thorough "tour" that was absolutely fascinating. She answered any and all of my questions and provided me with a few donated containers for my purchase. So far, the star of this visit are the scented lotion and hand wash. Can't recall the name. But they are pricier than the other products. I don't care at all. I LOVE the scent. As a matter of fact, I'm going in this weekend for some more of the hand soap. I have it in my bathroom (foaming pump) and my kitchen (regular hand soap pump). I also diluted it to use as a shower gel. YES, doggone it!!! I'm kinda addicted! This is one of those places that you should actually do a personal field trip to. It will change your life. Believe it. Highly, highly recommended! UPDATE: I went back in for more hand soap concentrate and some retinol serum. By the way, soap and lotion brand name is "Further". Alyssa assisted me and she is an absolute DOLL. And I met her husband and best friend, who happened to be in the store. Simply delightful. I think this is going to be another one of my "happy" places.

My first impressions of the spa were that it was a bit outdated and could use some renovations and modernization. The check-in / waiting areas included a random chair for hair service and a small area for pedicures. The lady at the desk was friendly and showed me to the locker room. The locker room was small, but had sauna, showers, and some toiletry type items that you would expect in a spa. I was provided a robe and while it was clean, I instantly thought this looks super old and well used. I sat in the relaxation room, that more felt like a Dr waiting room other than the relaxing music and fresh fruit available. My massage therapist was very friendly and asked me questions regarding injuries, allergies, focus areas, and pressure prior to starting. I had the 50 min drift full body massage and I felt it was just ok. I've tried out quite a few spas in the area and I've had better experiences elsewhere. I also thought it was very pricey for a 50 min massage ($204 with gratuity already included) when I've had better massages in the area at the normal 60 min time for less money. I did enjoy the small jacuzzi after my massage and I was lucky enough that I was the only one there because the area is quite small. The grounds are very pretty, but overall there are other resort spas I would recommend instead.

The body scrub was so relaxing as the spa attendant was detailed in paying attention to detail in making me comfortable and relaxed. Inside the treatment room was a beautiful nature wooden shower for after your scrub treatment. The relaxation room had very light refreshments of tea and some fruit. This was definitely one of the best spas set in nature within a large city of San Diego.

Olive a sudden is a great little hidden gem that I highly recommend stopping by and checking out. Not only do they carry olive oil, but also an incredible spread of balsamic vinegars. The associate I interacted with on this last trip was super friendly and encouraged me to sample as many of the offerings as my heart desired. Small little plastic cups are provided, and she even pulled out some crackers to help with the experience. I've been here a number of times and every time has been great. This time we came to select a bottle of the black cherry balsamic . I used to think that I was not a vinegar girl, but this place changed my mind. The infused balsamic are my favorite, but don't sleep on the White balsamic either. They are just as tasty and go great in a salad or on top of fruit even!
