Gotta love Ulta! Their stores are usually laid out in the same fashion so it's pretty easy to find what I'm looking for. On this particular visit, I went in with a minute before closing and the nice lady let me in. I went straight to the Good Molecules section because you know.. me and my Korean skincare regimen!! I picked out my 3 things and went straight to the register. The lady who rung me up thanked me for being courteous and knowing exactly what I wanted. I totally get it because no one wants to be leaving work late!! I know I don't! This location is always clean and organized. Employees are friendly and there's ample parking outside. This was the first time I had been to this location since the remodel. I really like the new setup, which give the section with prestige make up a different setup. It was easy in and out for me today. I knew what I wanted, and even though I browse for a short time, I was able to get through the line quickly and get out. The selection here is really good. Today I was looking for hair care, and they have it a great selection of Kenra products. Make sure you sign up for the points program. My points have added up quickly, which gives me Platinum status every year. read more

If I could give this place negative zeros I would. I placed an order for pick up. No fault to this store--Ulta online somehow defaulted to this location when it is 10 miles from my house. I didn't catch that. I stood in a very long line with one extra item to purchase plus pickup my online order. I finally get to the register only to find out I somehow don't have my ID. I just got back from a long trip. I pulled out every card I had with my name on it and nope--cannot release my items. I was told to come back later--ma'am I live far enough as it is...not going to do that. I couldn't even cancel the order and just purchase it there. Any orders cancelled by Ulta take 9 business days for the money to return back to the gift card FYI. I get policies...more than anyone as I work on a policy team. However this policy is the most absurd one. I am showing my phone, my email verification of my order and my ready order emails, all my cards with my name...my God. Do better! First of all, take a rating from a guy on a beauty store for the grain of salt that you probably consider it to be, but I will give my two cents anyway. I had a chance to visit this location over the weekend while we were searching for a couple of Christmas gifts, and my lady was refilling a couple of Her go to beauty items that she typically buys from Ulta or maybe one or two other locations. Because we were closer to the Ulta so she decided to try to get them here. Now, as the trailing spouse, I have to admit, Ulta is definitely one of those stores that has as a guy, you don't feel that welcome. And it's probably because most of the products aren't for you. But in a way they are. Kinda like Victoria's Secret,? Anyway, I think guys will understand what I'm saying. That being said, they actually have some pretty good beauty products for men, but they don't do a good job of signifying in-store where those products are located and then secondly equipping their employees to be equally enthusiastic about selling the men's products as much as they are the women's products. Not to discriminate on the basis of gender, but it would probably be helpful to have a couple of young guys who are into some of the men's scents and beauty products there for the trailing boyfriends, husbands and beauty obsessed men to lean on for advice on products to purchase. The other thing that I have never liked about Ulta is how narrow and packed the aisles are. I know it is a retailer and they're trying to get as much merchandise in as small of a space as possible, but they could really use a bit of subtraction by addition. This still feels like the place to find the next new product, but there's so much going on. It's almost like sensory overload. I went there twice. Each time I got a Silk Press. Disclaimer: I have 3C hair texture. 1. They only have TWO people listed as being able to do the service. I had Connor both times. 2. They run SUPER late if you are not the first client of the day. (My first visit, I was first. My second visit was midday. I didn't even get washed until about an hour after my appt.) 3. The booking sight says that you have the option of heat tools. (I didn't see this the first time.) I asked for them to use the hot comb the is listed on the site. I was told that they don't have one at all at this location. I was very disappointed. I would not recommend this salon if you have a tight schedule NOR if you have textured hair. i've only really only used the shop online and pickup option here. I had a $10 gift card and purchased a lip liner and mini Anastasia setting powder. I loved the lip liner and would consider getting one more and the setting powder was fine and i can use when my skin doesn't feel dry. The customer service is lacking and not great. They never have any employees at the pickup counter so you have to go to the cashier register to let them know you have a pickup. read more

First things first! Tiffany is very courteous, detail oriented, and gave me a lot of information about choices around my hair cut. For example, did you know that gray hair has a different consistency/texture than normal hair? That was news to me and I was grateful to learn it from her. She made great product recommendations to me that I plan on taking advantage of during my visit next month. She helped me feel good about my haircut and I think I look great, thanks to her work! Masks were worn throughout the appointment. Stay safe! The other staff were very hospitable and friendly, for example, letting me wait inside before my appointment (I'm an early bird). We ended up find a shade that we both liked but weren't 100% on. Will wear throughout today and decide if I wanna make a $45 commitment on tinted moisturizer. I left the store with another product that I needed so it all worked out. I appreciated the time spent on me this afternoon. I will double check Sephora to see if there any other lines that suit my tan olive undertone skin a little bit better. BUT I ended up being pleasantly surprised and fell in love with Nicco! He asked me a bunch of questions about my hair; how I usually wear it, what my concerns were, what I exactly wanted and we both went over a plan with how to treat, color, and cut my hair. He took the extra time to make sure everything was right, making sure I liked what the end result was, if I had any questions and started a relationship with me as his client. Individuals with a disability beware! Disabled shoppers should shop elsewhere. Do not give your money to a business which actively and unabashedly discriminates against individuals with a disability. My wife is blind. This disability like so many other disabilities, makes interacting with the world a challenge. She ordered some products from this store for curbside pickup. When the order was confirmed, we learned that curbside pickup was not available at this store and they required entering the store in order to pick up the product. As I do with many other businesses, I pick up the order for my wife. She forwards the confirmation email to me with the pick up instructions. So I get to the store and go to the pick up counter where the clerk asks for Identification. I provided her with my driver's license and showed her the email which my wife had forwarded to me. The clerk quickly states "I can't accept your identification, I need ID from the person who made the purchase." I stated to her that my wife is blind and that I am picking up the order for her. She stated "We require ID from the person who is making the purchase." I said my wife was at home. The clerk stated "Could she send me a picture of her license?" I said, again, my wife is blind and it was not realistic to ask her to provide a copy of her license. The clerk again firmly stated "We require ID from the person making the purchase. We do not make exceptions." Given the rigid stance the clerk was taking I left the store without further discussing this with the clerk. The clerk made it crystal clear that Ulta accept any exception to their policies and rules. The clerk was not willing to make any accommodation for my wife's disability. I have to admit that I am surprised that a corporation as large as Ulta would discriminate against a person with a disability. I would like to believe that we are better than that as a society, it's troubling to me to be wrong about that. But Ulta has made it clear - they discriminate against the disabled. I find it sad that they would chose to do so. Perhaps they believe the disabled are not allowed to look and feel beautiful. It is sickening to me that they would choose such a position about their customers. I guess only healthy, non-disabled people can buy their products. I encourage anyone with any disability to shop elsewhere. I will be discouraging my wife from buying from Ulta. Discrimination has to stop. read more

Scheduled a haircut and all over color with Tiffany for 11:00am, she called 2 days before asking to push it back to 11:30-sure whatever, she called again the morning of to push the appointment back AGAIN to 12:00-uh okay. I arrive 11:55 and get checked in. At 12:15 she finally walks out from the shampoo bowls with a client. Informing me she still needs to do X, Y, and Z then she'll be with me "is that okay?" I don't really have a choice do I? Extremely poor time management skills and terrible choice in customer service. Why was my appointment pushed back for another client? She does not value others time. I would have continued to be understanding had she not already pushed me back twice and was still severely behind schedule. I will not be going back to Ulta for salon services for myself or my two daughters. It's not difficult to respect other's time, especially when they are PAYING for yours. read more

I didn't know where to go to leave a review about my experience here, but I guess Yelp works! I had the most pleasant experience with a retail manager in my entire life at this store today. Her name was Mia, and not only did she provide assistance, but she was both kind and informative the entire time. She explained everything to me, outlined my options, and helped from there. I've been home now for about 4 hours and I'm still thinking about how I've never felt so taken care of in a store. I've managed people before and she's exactly the kind of individual I'd look to have on my team because she cares about the job, the store, and the people in it. Every other employee I encountered that day was so pleasant, and I swear retail employees these days can be.... grumpy to say the least (I don't blame them, I'm sure they deal with some awful people) but to see an entire store of sales associates smiling and willing to help speaks volumes; both about the associates themselves and the leadership they're under. The little dark haired Clinique girl should NOT be helping people. If she wants to help, she needs to LISTEN to what the customer is saying. Stop interrupting when a customer is telling you their needs. You're missing their entire issue. Then you offer a suggestion that isn't even close to what they need. Close your mouth and list When you ask them a question, stop, close your mouth & listen to their answer. There's a reason we have 2 ears & one mouth. Also when a customer tells you something, believe them. Don't say... "are you sure?" Like they're stupid. It's sad that you are purposely avoided by customers. It was a decent experience. But the workers literally could care less about you & your concerns. I walked in looking for an oil, and when I first walked in I was Initially asked if I needed help, I said no. But, the worker followed me towards back and he started taking about his new job and what not with workers at the salon. I had to interrupt because I ended up needing help, his response was " okay when she's ready, she'll help you " as he was pointing to a clearly busy associate. So I waited, and after about 5 minutes I just went and tried looking harder myself. I looked at him a few times because he was still talking about gossip. That didn't sit well with him and he was VERY upset that he needed to help me. I told him i needed help and blah blah blah. He recommended me something that wasn't even what I was looking for or for my needed. He told me the product I was looking for wasn't what I needed. But I literally use the product all the time and it does help. So tried not only selling me on a product i didn't ask for, I made sure to tell him a price range. They went right over his head, tried offering me $80 product that wasn't even what I needed. I still go to this ulta ALL the time. I haven't been here for a cut in awhile. I had an appointment on 08/08/2021 at 12:30. Everything started off great. I got my hair washed and she complimented my earrings. I was seated and Jaclyn was my stylist and she was combing my hair, and she pulled my hoop cartilage earring out. And my ear BLED from the force. She was apologetic. And I had to ask her to get me a napkin cause it was bleeding. She went and grabbed it for me and apologized again. We finished and she NEVER even offered a discount for ripping out my earring or anything. I love the cut. Don't get me wrong. But now my ear is sore. I prefer shopping at the Ulta location. I like the way the store is set up. If I need help there is someone there but they are not pushy. I prefer shopping on my own. My daughter had a makeup lesson for $30 plus tip. The gal who helped her would show her on one side and then let her try to apply on the other side. She did great! Today they just had one girl working the counter. Her customer was taking an extremely long time. The line was backed up, all the way down the other side of the isle! I had to ask her to call another cashier. She should have done this herself. Thank goodness someone came to help BC we were all getting annoyed. I wish they had sales. The stuff they periodically put out on a shelf is mostly crap. Stuff most ppl wouldn't want. You can almost always find a $3.50 off coupon in the mail and occasionally a 20% off coupon. I do like their rewards program. For every $100 you spend you get $3 off any item in the store. I let mine accumulate. Plus through out the year you get emails with special double and/or triple point items. Exclusive one day sales on a particular item, for example recently the IT Cosmetics palette was half off. Emails with offers such as buy xyz and get this 30pc gift set free. During your bday month you get double points and a free gift. read more

So sad. Bare minerals never has a coupon. Even ulta won't honor a coupon for bare minerals products, since it's a premiere product. At least that's what I was told by the cashier (cheyanna) The sales girl on the floor claimed the powder is $5.00 less than the shelf showing 31.00 . When I mentioned this to the cashier(cheyanna)the girl told me she wouldn't honor it. Since this is the only product I purchase at ulta, and I drive 10 miles out of my way to go to an ulta store. I'm a LONG time Ulta customer (14+ years). I have visited several Ulta Elite Stylists, in 3 different states, for haircut services. I've never had an issue, so I would not have dreamed my recent experience could happen. I moved to AZ about 1 year ago, and prior to this event, had only 1 haircut at Ulta (successful haircut). So at this point, I was not committed to any particular stylist. The stylist I saw at this previous service was not available for a few weeks, therefore, I decided to try someone else at a different Ulta store. Given that my history with Elite Level Ulta Stylists was always positive, I didn't feel any trepitation about this. Unfortunately, there's always a first time. I came into the appointment & saw the stylist was working with another client who seemed very pleased with her service. (+) The stylist I booked with was also classified Elite Level (+). The stylist also was teaching/training someone new to the trade (+). I sat in her chair & explained what I wanted. I showed her several pictures of what I wanted (leaving as much of the length as possible, long layers with piecy bangs framing my face) including one of me with the desired final look. After looking at my hair, she indicated she understood what I wanted & we proceded with my service. During my haircut, we had a pleasant conversation as she took up sections of hair & cut. It seemed to me like she was doing the normal cuts, but then I'm not a stylist, so how would I know? Once she got to the front, she didn't really do much to my bangs or do any framing around my face. But voila, she said she was done & started to dry & style my hair. I began to feel something was wrong when she finished. My bangs were crooked, & I felt anxious. I also noticed she had lopped off several inches on the left side of my head, but with the styling, it looked OK. Although I wasn't happy, I didn't want to stay in the chair any longer & have her cut more hair off. (I should mention I HAD waist length hair when I went in). I paid, left her a 20% tip & tipped her assistant (who shampooed me). $97 was the total. The next day, I washed & dryed/styled my hair & that was when the damage was truly revealed. I did not have layers...I had a long, crooked mullet. The back length was left knarly & sparce, the layers were crooked & did not gradually blend down. There was no framing around my face & the bangs were cut crooked with no texturing at all. It was a mess. Now, I did not go back to the same Ulta. I went to the one where I had the good experience & talked to the salon manager there. I didn't know the salons were commission based. My thought was its all Ulta, so they might be able to help me. Initially, that manager put me in touch with the salon manager from the other (bad experience) store. He then asked me to come back to let the original stylist try to fix my hair. I said I was not comfortable with that (why would I have confidence in someone who hacked my hair in the firstplace), I just would prefer a store credit so I could get my hair fixed by the stylist I had visited before (at the good store). He said he would have to call corporate to see if they could do that. He said he would call me back. He did, two days later, to apologize & tell me he could not offer me my money back. That I would need to come back to his store & let either the same stylist or someone else I did not know try to fix my hair. To me that was not an option. I had confidence that I could get my hair fixed at the good store & felt it would be hair roulet to go back to the bad store. So I wrote him an email with pictures (attached here) of what the state of my hair was to give him one final chance to make things right. Its been 4 days & I've not heard back. I'll let you make your own conclusion on what kind of customer service you think this is. For me it is not favorable. That said, my story does end well...Ulta in San Tan Marketplace fixed my hair (yay Sabrina who has MAD skills!)...AND took care of me financially. Go there, not here. read more

I went in today about 5:20 pm looking for a face product and a certain hair product. I thought my trip would be about 15 to 20 min because I knew what I was looking for. Walked around for about 8 min didn't find what I was looking for. I understand with COVID-19 you are not going to get the greatest customer service. There was probably 5 customers in there at that time. An employee wearing a black blouse with white poc a dots , jeans, blonde hair looked at me and turned away and asked other customers if they needed help. I thought ok maybe they were here before me. She actually helped one employee who was shopping before me . ( Employee was on break) I gave her benefit of the doubt. So my friend and I were just at Ulta we just went in really quick to purchase it was a very slow Tuesday so not very many people were in the store. No one took a moment to greet us. no one took the chance to ask me where I needed what I needed or went out of their way while they were fixing shelves to actually say anything at all. I came in this weekend to get my hair and makeup done for a wedding, first I waited at the salon counter for awhile and no one acknowledged me! Then when my stylist came and started I was less than impressed, the hairstyle was ok not anything close to what I wanted and simple enough I honestly could have done it myself at home. It was the makeup that im mostly upset about because it looked HORRIBLE! She just kept adding more crap and I had to fix my eyeliner myself, by the time I got home I had to take most of it off in order to not look totally ridiculous. Lesson learned I will stick to Mac when getting my makeup done. I'm not sure what qualifications you need to be a stylist at Ulta but I'm sure they aren't super strict and it seems like they let anyone do it. read more
