    What I asked for
    Desirae L.

So I'll start this off by saying my stylist was very nice, personable and pleasant to talk to BUT I RECIEVED THE WORST HAIRCUT OF MY LIFE. I went in today with an appointment with Evan- asking for a shoulder length, layered cut. I was under the impression this was no issue, and never under the impression he was not familiar with cutting women's hair (assuming since he's working at an Ulta salon) I told him that I wear my hair straight, and that because of this wanted dimension to my hair by adding layers. After he cuts my hair he tells me he's going to curl my hair so I can see the layers better.... (I'm assuming to hide how the cut actually turned out) and when curled it actually didn't look terrible. After getting into my car and parting my hair correctly I start feeling through my hair and notice strands substantially longer than the others, which sends me into a panic. I get home and straighten my hair, behold this BOTCHED hair cut, NOT layered but literally cut into two UNEVEN levels. I am mortified I had to pay $55+ tip, more so that I have to walk around with this hair until I can find someone to fix it, as if I don't have enough anxiety with hair cuts as it is. Beware, do NOT go to Evan at Ulta if you're looking for even, flowing layers in your hair :(

This is what I had asked for and I showed her this picture. My girl that did this was unavailable.

I have never, never had such a bad experience as going to this salon. It was New Year Eve and I thought with the prices that I would get a good cut and style. First of all I showed the stylist a picture of how my hair was done before and that was what I wanted. She made a disaster of my hair and when I saw it I only had 15 minutes to get to rehearsal. I told her that it was wrong and she tried to fix it by what she thought was another layer , but she chopped up my hair. I couldn't have been more clear. Secondly I paid for a cut, blow out and a hot iron curl, which she did none of. She only cut my hair, put me under a dryer, which did not completely dry my hair and then put in a new product that made my hair look dry and frizzy. I sent an email to corporate and their only response was to text me via bot and this went on for 3 days. I eventually had to call my bank. 132.00 dollars later I had a embarrassing hair style for New Year's Eve, she took 2 hours to cut it and scrunch it, it was worse than a beauty school. The second picture is of what she did to my hair and the first photo is what I showed her and what I had been done previously with my usual stylist. Quite the difference. DON'T GO THERE.

Very poor dry haircut, my hair is uneven & choppy. No shampoo, no blow dry at my request; I wasn't feeling well. I was charged $47.00 .

There is a shower and sauna along with mirrors and vanity to prep yourself for post-relaxation adventures. Spa Royale's relaxation room is expansive. Unwinding officially starts for me when I get to put my feet up in one of their loungers with a hot cup of tea, mixed snacks, and/or flavored water (changes weekly). Their facials are heavenly and their massages are legendary! While the Grand Indulgence is luxurious, I would actually recommend the Himalayan Salt or Deep Tissue. The Grand indulgence and 90-minute facial are similar with the them massaging your arms and feet with body butter followed by warming mitts. The Grand Indulgence also adds an invigorating scalp massage complete with warm oil (Note: your hair has never felt so soft and vivacious... but you may not want to go to a 5-star restaurant dinner after). All their therapists are experts in their craft- a special shoutout goes to David! What I especially appreciate is their privacy and professionalism. They have a couple of dual rooms- which we usually pick. Great for mom/daughters or couples. You will feel comfortable the whole time! Bonus note: a new tradition for us is have lunch at the Cafe first. If you go, be sure to have the chicken quesadilla!! The coffees and smoothies are fabulous too.

I don't normally get facials since I have a regular skin care regimen that I follow thanks to my primary care physician and dermatologist, but I do go for facials once a year and twice if I feel like I need extra care or just to pamper myself. So far the times I have gone I get the one that is tailored for my skin (lotus signature facial for 60 min) I am able to mention problems I currently have and Leah gives great recommendations. I don't trust anyone else with my skin. She is so knowledgeable and always able to recommend creams and face care products according to my concerns. Before she applies anything she explains what it's for. The massage in between is always relaxing and I always manage to go to get a nap in. I have not had an issue thus far and always leave refreshed. I cannot speak for massages or any other face procedures since I try not to do much to my skin and just limit to maintaining my skin texture and hydrating it as well as using products that will help me age gracefully and heal acne scars from past outbreaks. I always follow up with dermatologist about once or twice a year as well to track how my skin is doing. I have recommended this place to my mom and bf and they both have received facials courtesy of me since I love to treat them to a nice facial yearly as well.

It ended around 5:50, so I didn't receive the full time I paid for. The location also wasn't ideal during the massage, I heard two loud car alarms and an ambulance right outside the window, which made it hard to relax. While the masseuse was kind, the massage itself wasn't what I was looking for. I booked a lymphatic drainage massage but received more of a light, general massage with little pressure or technique. Considering the price (plus the generous tip I left), I was really disappointed overall. Unfortunately, I wouldn't return.

The dressing room was dirtier than should be; the carpet didn't look vacuumed and towels and robes from the previous person were still on the floor. Strike one. The massage was nice, a bit rough, but relaxing. The music playing was awful, though, and ruined the experience. Strike two. Next up was the mani/pedi and all that can be said is that one could do a better job at home alone with an emery board. The nail technician seemed nice enough at first, but quickly started talking politics and religion -- subjects that are fine for discussion in the appropriate venue. Being held hostage in a leaking pedicure chair is not one of them. She kept filing too close and caused blood not once, but twice. During the manicure, she went on and on about how awful our town is now that it's becoming more "citified" and that the student population has pretty much ruined it's quaintness. The only reason we live in this town is because of the university, both having finished our advanced degrees there. The manicure took forever and three and a half hours after entering the spa, I finally left. When I got into the car, I noticed that there was nailpolish all over my cuticles. There were air bubbles in the toe polish and a huge smear on the side of my foot. As I drove away, I left more stressed out than I had when I arrived.

Rhinoplasty Review Issues…read more I am horrified by my overall experience and result. During my consultation, I explained that my main concern was that the tip of my nose appeared too large and round. The consultation felt rushed, but I moved forward with surgery trusting Dr Tyrone's expertise. After my rhinoplasty, I called the office twice while my cast (which was just tape) was on because it felt extremely loose. I offered to come in to have it checked, but the nurse reassured me it was fine. When the cast was removed, it was barely attached to my face, and the nurse even commented that it was the easiest cast she had ever removed. As swelling went down over the next few months, it became clear something was wrong. The tip of my nose remained very large and pointed/crooked and one nostril began collapsing, my nose ran constantly, and I developed a noticeable lump on the outer nostril that did not resolve. When I raised concerns, I was often met with brief responses such as "that's odd" or told it would go away. A steroid injection was done to try to shrink the tip but that wasn't helpful. I noticed that the nasal bones at the top of my nose were protruding outward, causing VERY visible divots along the bridge and a very flat and bumpy appearance across the bridge. The bones that protrude outward are causing an inverted V shape on my nose. The tip of my nose is also noticeably crooked and my nostril look completely uneven. All of these irregularities are very noticeable, painful and very obvious. Instead of addressing the structural and cosmetic issues, Dr. Tyrone suggested placing filler in my nose for $400 to camouflage the mistakes. I obviously declined. I sought out two separate second opinions from other surgeons. Both confirmed that I was left with an open roof deformity and an inverted V deformity due to over-resection of bone. These are structural complications that are noticeable and painful and unfortunately, I may not be left with enough cartilage to fix my nose unless a surgeon harvests cartilage from elsewhere. Dr. Tyrone offered a revision surgery ONLY after I mentioned that I knew I had serious issues going on. He seemed annoyed. Unfortunately, for a revision, he quoted me nearly half of the original rhinoplasty cost, with no assurance of correction. I was told he could "try" to rasp down the sharp edges, but there was little confidence expressed. He said my nasal bones are comparable to a greenstick fracture. He said there's a lot of risk in revision and he wasn't very encouraging as he doesn't offer revisions. Due to financial limitations, I was essentially dismissed. I asked the woman working at the front desk if I needed to be seen again, as I was being seen every 2 months for a check up. I was told I would be seen again if I proceeded with revision surgery. I saved for years for this procedure. I am now left with pain, visible deformities on the center of my face, and no resolution at this time. I wish I had done more research before proceeding. Personally, I would be ashamed keeping someone's money and this be the outcome. Not only that, but if I went through with a revision surgery, I would be paying nearly half the cost of my original surgery. Please take your time, do multiple consultations with different surgeons and make sure you feel fully heard before moving forward with any surgery. My advice, please don't go here.
