The ladies here helped me to achieve the impossible and find a foundation that I love…read more I don't wear much makeup, and when I do, I don't want to look like I'm wearing any at all. At the same time, I've been struggling to find something that will cover my dark spots (thanks, adult-onset acne) without making me look like Little Richard. One of the makeup artists, Jocelyn, tried two foundations on me, but they made my skin look like muddy water and they did not compliment my yellow and green undertones well at all (despite her raving about how well the products matched my skin). Instead of blending in with my skin, they sat on top of my face like a yellow tinged paint. She gave me samples of the product to try later, but after viewing it on me in a brighter, stronger light, I realized that I needed to keep looking for my perfect match. Another makeup artist (I forgot her name, but she was a black girl whose name also started with J. Jess, maybe?) asked if I needed any help. I told her that I was looking for something that had a more natural finish. She put me on to some really fabulous foundation from Cover FX that made my skin look dewy and fresh instead of cakey and dull. I walked around the store and checked out my skin in different kinds of light. It looked fantastic. It also wasn't heavy or greasy. She also introduced me to a peach colored primer from Make Up Forever that helped to even my skin tone and make the look even more flawless. I appreciate her taking the time to make sure that I found the right product for my skin. I've been to MAC, bluemercury, and a couple of other stores that have just tried to sell me stuff, as opposed to taking the time to make sure that I leave with a product that is right for me and a product that I'm satisfied with. I'm very happy with my foundation, and with my experience at this location.

The salon itself is super beautiful and clean. It looks like a cute lil house! Claudia was prompt and friendly and very communicative with me about how I wanted my hair cut and styled. She was able to answer all my hair care questions & it was a pleasant hour chatting with her. She was very gentle with my hair and recommended appropriate products. I left there feeling like a total rockstar! I will definitely be coming back. Thank you!!

My stylist was very sweet…read more However, the standard of her service was subpar and I hope she gets the training she needs to be able to achieve this skill. I asked for a trim/cut to remove the dead ends and keep long layers, I informed her I had curly frizzy hair and usually my stylist will cut it after the blowdry. She stated she preferred to cut it wet and informed me she would touch it up after the blowdry, which was fine with me. When it came to the blowdry, it was clear she was not skilled with proper technique to blow out thick curly hair. It took about 30 minutes just for one section when finally another stylist noticed and asked if she wanted help. The other stylist asked what product was in my hair and stated that probably wasn't the right product to use and offered her blow dryer. The other stylist did a section that turned out just fine. My stylist continued on with the rest of my hair, at points I had to inform her the blow dryer was burning my scalp. The end result was a frizzy mess and it was clear I was not happy with the outcome, while her and the other stylist kept trying to normalize it by saying "Oh some people's hair just resists the blow dry" "it's looking so good!" etc. I truly didn't appreciate these comments as I have obviously gotten several blowouts and know my hair can definitely be blown out frizz-free. She also did not touch up the haircut at the end as she previously said she would and I was left with choppy layers that I will have to get fixed. The most disappointing part is that I tried to contact the salon owner three times to have this fixed with literally no response.

I decided to go through with it after having my initial meeting with Dr. Gaines, and now, a year out, I am even more happy and satisfied with that decision. Dr. Gaines is incredibly kind and knowledgeable as are his staff. They took the care to explain everything to me and figure out the best way to achieve the results that I wanted. After the surgery, Dr. Gaines was available to me (even at 3AM!) when I had concerns during the initial stages of recovery. While I experienced the expected discomfort and swelling associated with this procedure, it was minimal, thanks to Dr. Gaines expert hand. My scarring has healed up nicely as well and the implants have set just as intended and desired - I could not be more elated with the results and my decision have Dr. Gaines perform my surgery. If I ever have to have another procedure done, I would do it with Dr. Gaines and his staff in a heartbeat. They understood and knew how to give me what I wanted and were with me every step of the way to make sure I recovered properly. 10/10!
