Then the manager, Rilee contacted me the next day to further apologize for my experience and offered to fix my hair at no extra charge. She was so so nice and really made me feel heard and was just a pleasant person to talk to. While I don't love the length of my hair at the moment, she did everything she could to make me feel much better about the haircut. She was very meticulous and considerate. I booked a consultation with Noah, and they were super sweet! We talked briefly about what I wanted for my hair, which included a slight trim and bangs! After booking an appointment a few days after, I arrived and got my hair done. I felt extremely comfortable in the environment, and I loved how roomy and clean the salon was. We had a consult prior to this and she agreed we can make that happen. 3hours in and I was on the verge of tears. My hair is not even close to red it's light brown with hints of copper. (Photos provided below). Keep in mind I have blond highlights in my hair- the highlights aren't even red? How can you mess up going from blond to red?! At $85 an hour, it was an absolute rip-off. I am completely disappointed and this is happening only 2 weeks away from my birthday, I am so embarrassed. I explained to her this color is nothing near what I asked for, she removed 1h from the charge because she knew she had messed up but that will not fix my hair. I had high hopes for this place. I researched salons to instal hand-tied extensions for 5 months before finding Sheena. I wanted someone knowledgeable in technique and multiple brands, reasonably priced, and flexible with my schedule. In my experience, this combination is * v e r y * hard to find. She promptly booked me for a consultation and immediately made me feel at ease by asking a ton of questions about my lifestyle, what look I was going for, and my maintenance expectation. When I say she asked me detailed questions about everything, I mean everything. It was the only consultation where I left and I felt like the stylist and I were on the exact same page. We booked my install for 3 weeks later and she ordered my hair when I said I was ready to work with her. On install day, she got to the salon before it technically opened and we were able to talk and work in peace without the hustle of a normal hair salon. She worked efficiently and swiftly to always keep the process moving. Even when my color was developing, she was arranging the extensions perfectly for the most effortless install. All in all, I was in the chair for 5 hours and left with the most STUNNING hair. Truly, I got the hair of my dreams. Best yet? There was a small problem with one of the installs, and she saw me the next day to fix it and recurled my hair free of charge. It's been some time since I've been a client at Tecnicolors, so take this review as not a recent,…read moreone-time specific, review, but a review built on years of going to Tecnicolors from when I was in high school to fairly recently. I don't go to them currently for cuts and color, but I have nothing against them save the few things I mention below. The Seagle Building location is simply splendid and the salon is lovely and it's pretty posh for Gainesville. Two incidents however with Tecnicolors stay in my mind, and they weren't horrible but still were kinda funny and slightly disturbing: First, one stylist I got when my long-time fave Rose left the salon (and town) was from Bulgaria. She was truly a sweetheart but ummmm . . . her English was badly lacking. Seriously. It was between her grasp of English and mine of Russian and some help from another stylist that we got through my haircut. This lady could, however, most certainly cut hair: problem was just communicating HOW I wanted mine cut for her to do her job. Second incident: with another stylist, I asked if I could get her to color my hair cobalt blue . . . see, I figured if I was going to do crazy color, I had best at least get a pro to do it and where better than at a salon called Tecnicolors? A friend who is a stylist in another city also suggested that I go to an Aveda salon (which Tecnicolors is) for such a wild color job because Aveda makes colorants that would do the trick perfectly. When I asked her about this, she said that yes, Aveda made the colorants to do what I wanted, but she couldn't do it at Tecnicolors because if some of that blue color got in their pale wooden floors it would dye them and wouldn't come out. Seriously? I mean they do red don't they and that also would have the capacity to ruin the floor, no? In any case, she suggested I talk to a stylist she knew at The Strand salon and see if that person would do it . . . The Strand is also an Aveda salon. So . . . my opinion of Tecnicolors as someone who has been a now-and-then client on and off for over 15 years? They know their stuff, they have a good salon going, and they probably can do what you request (except maybe blue hair!) so give them a shot. The two stories above notwithstanding, 90% of the time I've gone there for cut or color, they've done a stellar job.

I booked an appointment with Bridget because she is their top color correction and blonding stylist and I LOVE my outcome. I have hated my hair for the past year. No one could ever seem to get the color right. Bridget listened to me and used her knowledge to provide me exactly what I wanted. She took her time and did it right. She made sure to take care of the hair so it would not get damaged in the process of lightening me back up. She is amazing!!! I've visited some barbers in the past who didn't listen to what I asked for, gave me a bad haircut, and had the audacity to tell me that it looked good. It's been some months since I've been here, but I really wanted to write a quick review to let others know that they can trust Audrey's. Very warm and welcoming service at this salon. My stylist was very patient with me when I told her that I didn't quite know what to do with my hair. I prefer to talk to my barbers, so I was glad that she made conversation with me during the half hour that she worked on my hair. I asked for a shave as well, but I learned that since they aren't technically a barbershop, they're not allowed to do shaves with razors. Not a problem at all. If I lived in Gainesville, I would come to Audrey's for my haircuts. I was very satisfied with the results and left a nice tip, which I always do for good barbers and stylists.
