Fast service = check Kept appointment time = check Friendly stylist = check Reasonable price ($12) = check Shampoo included = check Clean shop = check Only room for improvement would be for some of the staff to not let personal conversations overtake the work environment. Small point though. I'd recommend a visit to Randy's if you're in need of a quality hair cut fast. read more

Listed on website they offer walk ins so that's what I did. Went in and was just told immediately if I don't have an appointment they can't give me a cut. No greeting or anything just an immediate "No, can't help you today". Maybe should have booked an appointment but don't offer walk ins if you aren't even gonna try to make something work. read more

Walked in without an appointment and my first visit here, and received a haircut. Cut much shorter than I requested, but my bad. Said she had an appointment coming in and wanted to know if I minded if she used clippers, and I obliged. Not much on personality and communication, but as I said, my bad. My hair will grow so I'm not complaining, just reporting objectively. Communication is key to success on both sides. read more

I walked in and was pleasantly greeted by Brittany right away. She listened patiently to my lengthy story about my last terrible cut ( from somewhere else) and my advice on how she may need to do to fix it. She even indulged me when I showed her some AI generated images to work from. The result was fantastic! She was quick, yet exceptionally careful and exact with those scissors. Found my new go to spot! read more

Whatever guy gave me a buzz cut fade did a GREAT job. I was skeptical because its only $18, but i was satisfied. Feelin like a pretty boy read more

Brittany gave me an awesome haircut today.she is always friendly and professional. Thankyou, robert niederloh

The price was right and a good haircut but all of their advertising predominately featured a straight razor-I was disappointed the Millhopper shop didn't use them-I think the hot lather and close neck shave are the best part of a haircut. read more

Walked in with no appointment and waited a mere 15-20 minutes. Jordan then gave me a simple haircut and did a great job. He listened to me ramble about the mistakes I've been victim of with other barbers/hairdressers and proceeded not to repeat any of them. A simple job done well, and for a great price. He was also very personable and polite. Overall, no complaints, which is about all that matters when you're a man getting a haircut. read more

The haircuts aren't too bad. One time I was in the place reeked of sewage the whole time and no one said anything about it. Today I walked up at 2:55 and the sign still showed "Open" even though they close at 3. I really needed a haircut and was grateful to see the sign still open. Didn't even realize they closed insanely early on Saturdays. I open the door and get told they're not taking any more cuts. Ten minutes later and the sign still reads "open". When the haircuts are pretty average, the service makes the difference. And that service is average too. I prefer getting above average cuts at places with above average service. read more

I don't remember her name, but the lady hairstylist did a great job with my hair. Gave me exactly what i wanted, was speedy, and asked questions before she kept going. Great job! Would recommend! read more

When I sat down I specifically asked Allison if she was comfortable doing beards. She assured me she was. I explained to her very specifically that I wanted my sides brought down just a little and that I didn't want to lose any length on my goatee. (I keep a fairly long beard). She proceeded to take a two guard to the entire thing. Brought it down to damn near clean shaven. This was not at all what I asked for. After leaving and looking in my car mirror I realized that she also left my lines completely uneven. If you're not comfortable trimming a bigger beard, why on earth would you say you are? I'm never letting anyone there touch my beard ever again. Absolutely awful experience. As an update, she didn't use anything behind my head (a towel etc) to catch hair, so now me and my car are covered in loose hairs. read more

This is a great place to get a hair cut. I've been going to Randy's for a couple of months and really like all three of the barbers. It's starting to get busier so a lot of times you need an appointment to avoid a wait but that's not really my style. It feels upscale but is on $12 for a haircut so it's a nice change of pace from the dirty places I've been going to. They run a lot of coupons for new customers so keep an eye out for that. This is the best place to get a male haircut in Gainesville. read more

Walked in a little past closing and would have been 100% ok with no service because it was closed. I didn't realize it of course. Micheal Styles said he could clean me up real quick and then I found out they were closed. He didn't have to but meant a lot. Cool dude and really nice fade! read more

Great haircuts, pretty nice service while being straight forward which I like. I don't like forced conversations during haircuts. But I like a friendly feel and to where I can be specific and have them follow my instructions for what I want. He gives recommendations but let's you choice what you thinks best. He doesn't push for anything like I have seen before. The price is low as well. Best in Gainesville and for my hair now they best I've been to overall. Jake,19 read more

Randy has been cutting my hair since 2004, when he was at Campus Cuts, and more recently at Kutters before he opened up his own place. I've stuck with him because he cuts hair exactly how you want it, does his best to schedule you at a time that is most convenient for you, and he takes care of his loyal customers. Few businesses or people do all of that. When he called me and told me he had opened up his own place, I couldn't be happier for him. His "barber shop" is very clean, nicely styled, comfortable, spacious, and reasonable on the wallet for haircuts. read more

I really tried to work with a specific barber at this shop, but after the 3rd messed up hair line, I was done. The frist time I went there the hair line was not good, but I gave him a pass, and $20 for the cut (my mother owns a womens hair salon in NYC, so I know its hard work; I always tip well.) The second time, he seemed frustrated that I was his last hair cut, and was delaying his drive back home. He rushed the cut, and really messed up my hairline again. I still gave him a 5 tip. In addition, he tried to use a razor blade twice on me that had not been changed, or disinfected; Hepatitis B is real!! Either way, after 3 full attempts ( the last he tried to just tell me it was my hairline and not him rushing it, or again working through lunch time), I've just decided to move on. Must say, Randy does seem like a nice guy (was always busy so I never got a hair cut with him.), and the place was kept very clean all the time. read more

First time in today. Lisa cut my hair. I got a great haircut for $12, no waiting and I was in and out in no time. I'll be back!

I went in a few weeks ago, visiting my daughter in town. I really needed a haircut. Think is was Tom's first day there. I was very pleased as he gave me one of the best cuts. I'm going back the next time I'm in Gainesville. read more

I heard a lot of good stuff about this place, but after going there the respect and treatment I received was not up to expectations. The barber Cody seemed like he was in a rush the whole time, hardly spoke if I asked him anything, generally seemed rude and uninterested. He also tried to cut my hair so quickly that he kept slamming the machine against my head, not at all gentle. And in the end, the haircut was not even worth the $10 I paid. I really couldn't believe that that's the treatment I got. I will not be going back for sure. read more

Very friendly staff, affordable haircuts, and always consistent.

Looked good inside, but the hairstylist didn't seem to happy. Haircut was ok.

Great staff, very skilled and very affordable. Love going there to get a shave and a haircut every month. A++

Have been in Gainesville for 8 years and feel stupid for not going to this place sooner. I've paid over $30 at some of the salons for a mens haircut and have never really been that satisfied. Randy gets it done in half the time at half the price and I've always been satisfied. The facility is always clean and I enjoy talking to Randy and other guys in there. read more

Randy has been cutting my hair for the past year and a half. I used to have an unfair biased of what $12 hair cuts got you, being that the only haircuts i got growing up for $12 was the standard bowl cut from the great cuts in wal mart (I know, wasn't my choice). Needless to say I was very aprehensive. I can tell you without a doubt, Randy and the other barbers KNOW how to cut men's hair. They actually listen to what your specific needs are and they do not just give you a cookie cutter cut. I recomend anyone who wants a great cut at a great price to call Randy's. They have become very busy within the past year as word of mouth is spreading across Gainesville about this awesome place. Make an appointment, you will not be dissatisfied. read more

I've gone to the strip mall chains for years, and every time I come home, I notice areas that are uneven. My wife usually has to get out the scissors for touchups. That wasn't the case following my first cut at Randy's. The haircut was perfect. The service was fast and friendly (without being too chatty - which is my personal preference). read more

I went there to have my son's haircut. I had just a few minute wait while the hairdresser finished up on the little boy already there. When finished, the floor was not swept before asking us to sit, leaving me to climb over hair that was all over the floor and chair. My son had to use an adult cape and no towel was placed around his or my neck. I was not sure if any of the clippers or combs were clean or if the towel used to wipe his face after was clean or if it was the same towel used on the other kid. The cut was decent but the person only seemed semi friendly and was certainly not making any extra effort to make it a good experience. read more

Nice haircut ! Wish I could've gotten a shave, but they said the barber chairs are at their other location. I can't complain, they took me 15 minutes before closing ! Definitely will go back ! Can't remember the barbers name, but he's got plenty of ink ! Nice guy read more

Been here twice with two different barbers. Felt really uncomfortable both times. The last time, two of them were arguing and yelling at each other while I was in the chair. Not amazing work but maybe that's why it's so cheap? Not planning to return. read more

This is the worst haircut I have ever gotten. I would have rather gone to a chain like SportClips. I took an Uber out both ways to travel miles for this place that seemed to have good reviews. The woman who cut my hair smelled like cigarettes and had red hair. She obviously didn't care about what she was doing or lacked knowledge on how to cut hair properly because I left with patchy sides and messed up side burns. I shouldn't have come to this place for a haircut and I'll never be back. I DO NOT recommend it. read more

I've been going to Randy's for the past few years and I highly recommend it. I was getting my hair cut at some of the cheaper chain stores around town, but was unhappy with the inconsistency of the service. I have had nothing but great haircuts since switching over to Randy's and I like supporting a local business. read more

I've been coming to this Randy's location for 4 years now. Two lady's who've worked here deserve the 5-star praise: Emily & Jen! Best skills with hair and great people. Quality fades, trims, thinning, scissor use, and great with blades. I usually don't care to talk to hairstylists but these people were so genuine that it was natural. I did have one bad experience 4 years ago at the other Randy's location where my cut didn't meet my description or quality and was left with terrible cuts (minor lacerations, edema, and erythema) on my neck. Well these hairstylists mentioned above apologized for their colleague and made up for it by fixing that cut. Ever since that kind gesture, they earned my business. It was great to be considered a regular client here for so long. Also prices did go up due to Covid-19 restrictions on their business, but it's well worth it. I'd say most of their employees are very skilled. read more

Not a chance I will return. I walked into his empty shop and he didn't even acknowledge my presence. Horrible customer service!

Go in and see Cody!! Old school barber shop and a pretty neat man-cave. Been going there for a while and have received great service every time. read more

Very pleasant experience. Quick and easy, got a good haircut, and for a good price. Will definitely be going again.

I've gotten good haircuts here. I'm pretty picky and I've never been disappointed at Randy's. Price is good also.

Randy is the best. Consistent, reasonably priced, and pleasant. I wouldn't go anywhere else in Gainesville... I've tried them all.

Very bad experience . The stuff are not friendly and lack of patient for kids.I don't want to come again.

Terrible service. Terrible haircut. The guy (not Randy) cutting my boyfriend's hair was a jerk and kept jabbing him with the buzzers. He wanted to get him out of the chair as quickly as possible. No shampoo and he left hair all over his clothes. Haircut was uneven. Really unfriendly experience. Would not go back and would not recommend to friends. read more

All great haircuts so far!! Only $12, too. I haven't gotten cuts from all the barbers there, but I've watched them all give great cuts. They are nice, fast, and skilled with the clippers. Has an added bonus, the 2 young women barbers are real lookers. I highly recommend. read more

The first two times that I went there, I had the same barber. I can't remember the guy's name-- it wasn't the owner though. Those two times I ended up getting a pretty good haircut. I went in there for a third time, today, I had a different barber. He didn't really give me that good of a haircut. He seemed very rushed. It's a good place depending who you get. Not a fan of the younger guy. read more
