I'm very disappointed with my recent visit to this Ulta Flagstaff. The overall atmosphere was not welcoming, and I did not feel valued as a customer. No one approached me to offer assistance, and when I asked about samples, the response I received felt dismissive and unhelpful. Also, I do invest a lot in my make up products at Ulta and other beauty Locations because of my profession and asking for a sample has never been an issue. The manager told the employee that she could only give me one sample. When she was putting the sample together her body language was very irritated and annoyed that I even asked. Customer service is a major part of the shopping experience, and unfortunately, this was the worst experience I've had at an Ulta store. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving the level of professionalism and attentiveness in the store. read more

I regret going in to this salon this time around. I went in for a gray blend as my gray was growing out and thought this would help make my hair blend in with my natural gray. I went in with soft hair and came out with dry, brittle and unmanagable hair. My hair has never been this dry. The stylist was very nice and I could see she enjoyed her job, though she seemed rushed as this was a very long process. She did tell me that in the beginning. I should have asked more questions and should have trusted my gut feelings but I went for it. It has been almost two weeks and I have gone out to buy deep condtioning products to repair my hair, spending more money. Now, I will need to get my ends trimmed as they are totally fried. Lesson learned, don't think I will go back again. read more

I made an appointment for a cut and color. I arrived right on time, yet still waited for 10 minutes. My stylist seemed to be having a bad day and was not very welcoming. Conversely, the other customer who came in at the same time was seated by a friendly-seeming stylist. That's why I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1. My stylist proceeded to ask 'what's your color situation?' I have used hair color from a box in the last 5 months, mostly to color my roots. The hairstylist said 'I'm not allowed to use our professional color on your hair'. I wanted all over color. The stylist barely mentioned doing color correction as she looked at me with no expression. I left without even getting my hair cut. I did go to a walk-in place and got an appointment 2 hours later and got a very cute fresh cut for $34! I'm going back tomorrow to get it colored (without correction) Suggestions: Offer a solution, rather than making a customer feel like they are inconveniencing you. Also, I know what it's like to be miserable at work. Please understand that you are doing a service and if this doesn't resonate with you, you may want to think about a different job. Picked up a product, small tag said $5.00. Surprised but happy to get a discount. After purchasing noticed I was charged the regular price. Went back to the store to inquire about the full price I was charged. I turned around to the displays in front of the cashier stand to show the cashier the price I saw, $5.00 for the product. The cashier was puzzled as well. Another cashier said it's for the travel size. On the small card, stuck in front of the full size product, were very small words with the volume size indicating the travel size. The small discount card was very misleading by placing it in front of the full size product. I kindly requested the small card be placed in front of the product on sale. read more

I felt confident in her recommendation to what I was needing, which also happened to be formulated without the nasty toxic stuff I try and avoid. The store looked very clean and well organized. The entire atmosphere felt very inviting! I do appreciate how well stocked everything is, considering many stores aren't getting orders in due to shipping issues. Stephanie is honestly the kindest, funniest, most amazing person! I have tried so many eyebrow places but the benefit bar inside Ulta is my main pick because of her. Not only does she do my eyebrows perfectly every time, she helped me find and pick out makeup and skincare products that I recommend to all of my friends. I have been cancelled in their system twice.. they say "we don't show an appointment for you" when the stylist booked it while I was there.. ridiculous.. booked services online to have color and cut , show up to my stylist to be told.. Highly recommend the salon at this location. Nichole did an amazing job on my perm and gave me exactly the look I wanted! She seemed very knowledgeable and was super nice and accommodating, fitting me into her schedule last minute when the stylist I originally booked with came down sick. Esperanza the salon manager was also very helpful when it came to some scheduling snags and fitting me in, and she was also super knowledgeable about curl product and helped me pick out what I needed for my new style before I left. The only very minor downside to this Ulta is they don't carry most Skyn Iceland facial products in stock like other Ulta locations, other than that the store is well kept, well stocked and all the employees seem very helpful! read more

If there was a 0 star option, I would leave it. I have been trying to make a simple hair appt for my daughter to get tinsel in her hair. I made an appointment 2 weeks out, and the day before they called me asking me to come in early cause they had a "big cancellation". I called back explaining I had to wait till after school, and they said that the stylist had something personal going on so they were going to book me with another stylist. Day of, they call me again to tell me my appt. was over booked and could I come in early. I said no, my daughter is in school. They then proceeded to tell me I could cancel my appointment and reschedule. What kind of option is that?! THANKS ALOT! Now I get to tell my daughter when I pick her up from school, that no, we cannot go and get her hair done, even though she earned the privilege. One day before a big video shoot, I stopped in on a frantic quest for my usual Smashbox BB cream that I like for photos and videos, which turns out to be sold out all over the planet. Two friendly staffers worked to find me an alternative, and did a color match for me even though we couldn't swatch anything due to COVID. Turns out they nailed that match, and the product is a new favorite. Sorry I didn't get their names, but they calmed my stress and hooked me up with a wonderful solution, so I wanted to give them a big shout out. I was unhappy with the haircut. I explained twice what I wanted. Still ended up unhappy. I did agree to the price, but I should have just gone to another place: paid less and probably would have been happy with what I ended up with. The second appointment was for a makeup application. If I could leave no stars. I would. I never felt so discriminated in my life. My sister and I came to this store to get a few products. I'm a avid Valley Ulta Goer and my sister works for ulta. Without explanation, we went in getting our items and the environment was not welcoming like I'm used to. The employees did not look like they were happy to be there. My sister commented on their work attire and how there was no dress code reinforcement. These employees looked like they didn't care even assisting us with being able to get items that were in stock with but didn't pursue looking for the product in the back or the bins that restock product can be found. The prestige beauty advisor that was assisting us did not care about her job and felt like she could care less about assisting us. It wasn't until my sister said that she works for ulta as well that this lady never gave effort in assisting me. Huge lack of professionalism, and we were not pleased with the service I have come to know. It gets even worse, at check out, my sister was basically questioned on her credential of being a Ulta Employee. If this is how they treat a fellow Employee of ulta, being a "Regular" customer I was able to see it from both perspectives. This really was sad and we will not becoming to this store and will make sure our friends and family don't come here either. I'm not sure what was said about myself or my sister because the girls huddled up as we left and we felt like we were being talked about as we left the store. read more

General manger is very nice and helpful and Nicole did amazing on my perm. If you ever go here for a hair cut or anything do not go to Rachel D! I had been growing my hair out for 3 years and finally went to get a perm since my hair was at my goal length. They suggested getting a trim since my ends were dead from not having a cut for away and the perm. I booked an appointment with Rachel D. She chopped my hair off. There goes my beautiful perm and waiting the grow it out for 3 years. I just had a bad experience with the eye brow services. The lady looked at me asif I was the ugliest thing she'd ever seen. Had me in tears. She made me friend look and feel so stupid for even wanting to try eye brow tinting! I do not recommend any natives that have that "I just got off work" look.
