This Ulta is a very clean store in the Concord Mills area. Parking is adequate, but staff seemed limited since 1 person was working as the cashier. Performing a return was pretty stress-free, and the employee handled the transaction very well and correctly. I come in here from time to time to restock on beauty items or to find new beauty products that I don't need. Lol. Rihanna's promotion of her Fenty Icon lipstick brought me in today and I was happy to see that the website accurately reported it in stock in store. The other popular beauty brand did not have it. Ulta had several of each color and I went with the signature red. Both reds are beautiful. I generally find this Ulta to be well stocked and I can only remember one time that I came in looking for something the website said was in stock at the store when it wasn't. The site is usually pretty accurate. The staff is also friendly and this store is conveniently located by Concord Mills with all of the other popular stores, restaurants and jewelers nearby. read more

Saturday I when to ulta Beauty to get two strand twist done to my hair and I left looking like this The day before my services the stylist Jada L. Contacted me to asked what style would I like because on ulta's website the option for textured set comes in a variety of different styles so I told her I wanted flat twist updo style. She told me she could not do that hairstyle. She only did two strand twist , perm rod set, silk press and wash and go so I chose the two strand twist. We discussed more about how she does her two strand twist and I asked her if she wanted me to come up to Ulta that night so she could see my hair. She initially said no because she had a client, but I still went anyway and we talked about my hair I showed her a picture of the style and she looked at my hair. I told her what was going on with my hair. I asked her would she be able to do my kind of hair? She said she could still do the hairstyle. The next day (my appointment day)I got there she looked at my hair again. She said she noticed some heat damage on the ends of the front of my hair she recommended I get a trim I said not this time I just want a deep condition and two strand twist. After she took me from under the dryer. I noticed my hair was still a little damp, so she said she was going to use the blow dryer to finish drying my hair when I looked at myself in the mirror. I noticed my hair did not look anything like the picture I showed her so I said can I be honest she said "Sure, yes I would love critiques" and then proceeded to say I felt like my hair looked old like it's been done for about two weeks already. Plus all the twists aren't even the same size or close to the same size. It looks very messy. She said well there is heat damage so that's why it may look like that and I said I understand, but you said my heat damage was towards the end of my hair like the very end of my hair not the roots. Why does the roots look old, the parts are huge I can barely see the parts in the front of my head. She said it's heat damage and I said now it's heat damage at the root of my hair? She said I understand you want the " slick down look", I didn't use gel I just used moose foam" I said I didn't need any gel and I'm not looking for a slick down look more like a neat look and right now it doesn't look like that. I said be honest could you see yourself going to work looking like this and she said I mean, I don't see anything wrong and I said it just doesn't look neat and then she said well if it was me I would understand I have heat damage. So I was like heat damage does not cause the hair to look messy like this when it's being styled a certain way she said she would get a manager to handle the rest of this she snatched the apron off of me, pulled the perm rods out of my head and told me I could go sit at the front. She didn't even say who the manager was who was going to help me so then a woman came up to me and said so what's wrong with your hair and I said hi my name is tiffany and the issue I'm having is that my hair looks two weeks old already and I just got it done. I came here to get two strand twist and this is unacceptable so the woman said well we comped your service and I said thank you and she walked away. There was no understanding, no customer service. It was basically like we didn't charge you not get out. When you work in a customer service atmosphere the customer is always the customer and you should always treat that person like the customer whether they are right or if you feel like they are wrong they're still your customer you're still here to service them, respectfully... read more

This Ulta is super big and well organized. I appreciated that all of the product aisles were neat and everything is well kept up. In a cosmetic store, I look for the cleanliness and to see if everything's put away and not picked over. They have a range of products and carry a lot of brands. This is definitely a great location. Admittedly, I am addicted to beauty products which is the reason why I have avoided this store for so long. So I went in there today and it was everything I feared and hoped. I went in to help my mother select an eyebrow pencil, and thanks to a no-pressure staff I left completely unscathed. Not with more items than I wanted to buy and memories of a persistent sales staff, simply one eyebrow product which I will actually use on a quasi-regular basis. As a former beauty advisor, I knew that this was a "class" operation when I saw the state of the testers. Everything was pristine and in proper order. I remained impressed with how super helpful the entire staff seemed to be. They were the best mix of accommodative and advising. I have to add how much I appreciate that this store isn't inside the mall. I am uninterested in dealing with the crowds and parking, in Concord Mills Mall. This Ulta has a massive parking lot that is shared with other stores that I like. And it's about five minutes from my house. I don't really like coming to this ulta if its not necessary. I placed my order yesterday and it said it was ready for pick up at 7:17am so I was going to go pick it up after work. I clicked the I'm on my way button to let them know I was 15 minutes away. I got there at 3:44pm and I clicked the on my way button again to let them know I was there at the curbside pickup sign and what car I was in. I waited about 10 to 12 minutes before I decided to go inside to get my order because I'm burning gas, it's hot outside, and it didn't seem like anyone was going to come out to bring me my order. This is my daughter's dream store. She loves shop and look at every single thing Ulta has to offer. She mentioned that she wanted a color pallet for Christmas. So six days before Christmas I decide to to there and grab it and a few stocking stuffers for her. The store, itself, is big, bright and clean. It is organized and everything is displayed to create the best presentation as possible. I am a fish out of water in a makeup store but a kind salesperson guided me through the aisles and helped me find the pallet I was searching for as well as a few other items that I am sure my daughter will love. Finding the wonderful merchandise was the easy part. It's less than a week before Christmas and peak season for merchants. You'd think they would have more than one register going at a time. My first visit to an Ulta store was this location, on a week day afternoon. There were multiple things I wanted to buy but couldn't find them after walking around the store. I called to replace a perfume that was leaking, when I called on my lunch break. I was told that it was in stock and I said OK. Are you sure because I know a lot of people have been buying this perfume? She said yes I have it in my hand. I said thank you. Can you please leave it up front I will come by in a few she said, of course, and rushed me off. The phone didn't ask for my name or anything. I came after work and everyone was clueless, & ask me are you sure you called this location? I showed them my call log and of course they didn't have anything upfront for me so of course I was mad because I was lied to and not only lie to, but the employee made it seem like she physically had it in her hand. Those were her exact words so the next day I thought I was supposed to receive a call from the GM but I end up calling and she had no clue of what happened prior so I explained & I also let her know that 10% isn't enough ulta makes tons of money so she offered me 20% and said that the shipment comes Friday night. I can come Saturday to grab the perfume. Saturday comes and of course the perfume is not there. The manager on the floor said that usually you're able to tell what's coming in for shipment and there was no perfume at this point. I just wanted a refund because I was annoyed with being lied to twice, and it felt like no one cared at one point they even offered me to purchase a travel size perfume that was a slap in the face because I had a bigger perfume than the travel size. I called the store back later on to speak to the GM while she was in and apparently it was supposed to be four on the truck, but I'm confused on who's telling the truth because the manager on the floor when I came in person told me that there wasn't supposed to be a shipment of that perfume I let the GM know I requested a refund, but I would like the perfume for free at this point because I've been thrown in for loops all week. She let me know you can try. I'm not sure if they will do that and gave me the number this store is very unorganized as well as liars. read more

I like this Ulta , because it's located near Concord Mills. It's also a newer one, so it's still pretty clean and organized the last few times I go in . The team who works there is very keen to work with each other to help you. For example , when you ask where something is, or if it's in stock, they will actually look for you or message someone to check in the back , rather than saying ' I don't know' and walking away. I also desired to get my eyebrows shaped all of a sudden, and the specialist near the brow bar didn't have any openings, but the team worked together to get my brows snatched by a skin care specialist, LaQuita. Ulta used to be my go- to for birthday gifts for my girlfriends or a little pick me up for myself; but that's changed. I placed a lot of orders during the Christmas holidays for a fragrance I discovered and really like. They were running a special so I ordered several for family members. Well....one of the promotions at Ulta offered a free robe if you purchase a certain dollar amount. The robe never came and customer service was so rude about it the mishap that I decided I will never purchase from them again. I fully support businesses with great customer service because it's so hard to find. So I went online to the fragrance's website and placed an order for the rest of the ladies in my family I thought would appreciate the gifts. Well I was able to get the bottles monogrammed for free!! I was so happy to have an Ulta store open so close to home and went there last Sunday. While I was thrilled to see the store carrying Kiehl's, I was disappointed that they didn't offer more for men. Took my nephew in to get his hair colored about a week ago. Haley did such a great job and was very patient with him. Haley not only did precisely what he wanted, she did it with a smile and kind heart. The store is fantastic as far as product. I don't find the employees to be friendly at all. In fact, I have been in this location six times. I have never been approached by an associate. I have had an "excuse me" on one occasion when they we busy stocking shelves. I have purposely stood by two associates chatting about their weekend, sighed in frustration and they both walked away.
