She stated, a consultation was required (standard) but did not know the price. However, stated, our program is 100.00 a week and it usually runs around 3 months. This place is so lovely, a quaint medical spa that is clean and relaxing. In my quest to grow old gracefully, I set up my first appointment with IllumeMD. The spa is located near my office and they also offered a free consultation. I wanted to be educated on my options without feeling obligated to set up a treatment plan (or lose a consultation fee). Dr. Ravi took her time in explaining various options and did not seem irritated with my slew of questions. I did not feel rushed or pressured, she sent me home with literature around the treatments we discussed. Today I have had my second treatment with Dr. Ravi and I am very pleased. I had a consultation for laser hair removal. I felt like both the receptionist and the esthetician did not want me to be there and i was inconveniencing them by coming to my consultation. the consultation was under 5 minutes and the esthetician didn't seem even remotely interested in performing the service and didn't have anything good to say about the procedure. she first asked me if i had done any of my own research on laser hair removal, and while i had, it felt odd to me that i was being asked to recite what i read online when i paid to get accurate answers from a professional. i read on the national institute of health that there was no need to delay laser hair removal after accutane, but the esthetician here told me "i couldn't touch you for at least a year". she really hurt my feelings about the fact that i took the medication and told me "i would never let one of my clients take accutane." really unhelpful, as she had no idea about my medical history or why accutane was the best choice for my skin. she then brought me to the front desk where she told the receptionist i was on accutane- which isn't something i wanted to share. i went home and cried- and i won't be back. it has been a long journey with my skin and i wanted to do this to continue to boost my confidence, but this made me feel worse. read more

Dr. Ravi is awesome and very professional. She make sure you are comfortable and talk you through your laser treatment. I have been having laser treatment on my neck and chin area for three months and I definitely can tell the difference. I went from tweezing two to three times a week to shaving only once or twice every two weeks. I have 3 more treatments to go and I can't wait to see the final result since I'm already seeing my currently results and loving it. During my time at Illume I began to complain about my hair growing back to the employee that was working for the owner Ravi at the time, I was told that it would be mentioned to Ravi and that there would be notes on my problem into the iPad used for the business, Not to mention I also purchased AGAIN from the owner through herself and not through groupon for another service. The two services were under arms and the Brazilian. I also emailed the business pictures of the areas I was complaining about and was told it was because I missed and appointment, so I went in days after for the retouch that the owner said was the reason why I was growing hair, When I went for the appointment I was told that we were only doing my underarms because she never received a picture of the other area, while in the room I showed employee the email that shows both areas, and I was told that the owner Ravi told her that if I did not mention the other area to not do it. A couples of days later I EMAILED the company again and sent pictures of the area still growing hair two days after shaving and asked the owner what would be the solution to make me a happy customer the owner replied to me saying that if I did not like the fact that I was growing hair I would have to pay for another service. My last appointment I then complained AGAIN that I am STILL growing hair two days after I shave and the owner said the same thing so then i had my mother call her and ask her what would be done to make me happy and she said to pay for another service, I will refuse to pay for a service that should have been done correctly. The owner Ravi then told me she would have to speak to her employee Nichelle but that employee did not work for her anymore and i had already knew this because I reached out to the employee to ask was the message ever told to the owner, I asked the owner for my paper work that was signed by ME and also asked to see the messages that was left on the company IPad about my complaints, I was told that she could not show me the paperwork I signed unless there was a request for it. I never even got copies of the paperwork she made me sign, I should be allowed to see the paperwork that I signed off on. I was also told by the owner that she would not give me my money back and or not fix her service, that I had to go through Groupon because that is who I payed. I am NOT happy with the service. read more
