If you have short hair, don't go here. I showed the stylist 3 photo's and discussed what I wanted. When I arrived, my hair had grown out and was about 4" long, except the neckline which was shorter. I came out with some hair less than1/2" long and the front/top about an inch long. Not even close to what the photo's look like and not what we discussed. She gave me a line about needing to go this short so it would grow and then we could trim the sides and back. She was hoping that I would swallow that line. I've had lots of haircuts and spoken to many stylists and I certainly knew that this person was trying to cover her butt. I figured I could live with it and paid and left. $50.00 for the worst haircut I've ever had. I believe that the stylist made a mistake and kept trying to correct it until my hair was so short she couldn't do anything more. I can't do anything with what's left but my hair grows and I will let it grow until I go to Great Clips or Supercuts where I will get a decent cut and not pay $50.00. I do not recommend Ulta because it looks like there are no experienced stylists her. read more

I recently placed an online order and planned to do curbside pick up as I had done several times before. I called when I got to the store, gave them my name and let them know I was there to pick up on online order - as instructed by the email confirmation and website. I was rudely informed I could come into the store and pick up the order. I said I needed curbside pick up because I had my dogs in the car and asked if someone could please bring out the order? All I got was a very blunt "No ma'am." ... no explanation, no apology for the inconvenience ... Not a huge deal. I figured they must be busy. Without hanging up, I set my phone down to find the closest parking spot I could ... my phone was still connected to CarPlay. The store did not hang up either ... and they proceeded to mock me for having the audacity to call for a curbside pick up. I heard the whole thing. I anticipated seeing a long line and very busy associates when I went into the store - hence the reason they couldn't do curbside pick up. I left the car running (AC for the pups) and hurried into the store. There was no one in line and there were six associates standing around the front desk chatting. As there were no other customers and they had just mocked me on the phone, they knew I was coming in for an online order. I gave them my name (again) and they fumbled around for 5 minutes trying to find the order. Not sure why they didn't pull out the order when I called and have it ready. I let them know if they were going to talk bad about a customer, they should at least hang up the phone first. I hope the store management sees this and reminds their associates that customers are not an inconvenience. Customers are the reason they have a job. Maybe a little Customer Service refresher is in order. read more

I don't even know where to start... I walked in as a blonde and came out as a striped brunette. Courtney Cox who is supposedly an "elite stylist" completely ruined my hair and left me looking like an old lady with a bad box dye job. My roots are strawberry blonde, my crown ashy purple, and then there are some white blonde highlights underneath. It is uneven and splotchy throughout. It looks like some areas lifted to a brassy/orange tone and she went and "over corrected" with purple shampoo and then a toner (what she told me she did). I told her it looked darker than normal and she said it would "lift after a couple of washes." Striped uneven color does not lift after a couple of washes. Had I pulled my hair up and back and looked underneath while I was there I would have realized just how horrible this job was. I can't believe a stylist would send a client home looking like this knowing they would be back wondering what the heck happened. If you are looking for someone who really knows hair and how to highlight and blend a good blonde Courtney Cox at this salon is not your person. read more

Today was one of my most memorable life changing experiences of my life. At 74 my body is making so many changes especially my face. I long to meet anyone who i could even pay to tell me how to care for my skin and today I had more than my wishes with Deshawna at the Cartersville store, she was patient, caring, knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. She was in the moment with me and still helping others she is AMAZING. My daughter and I were together and she personalized our experiences recommending and suggesting several lines of products for our skin type and age. We purchased close to $500.00 in merchandise and we are very satisfied. I have been on my phone telling everyone about my experience today WOW! Go to the back of the store and there's the hair stylist, while friendly :.... quite unprofessional, talking on the phone to what I assume was a mgr because it seemed she was getting chewed out ... from this side of the conversation was for being rude to a customer . I was told by my hair stylist at Ulta that Ulta guarantees hair shampoo if I did not like the shampoo I would get a full refund. The manager on duty Feb. 3rd at 4:50 told me she can not return the used shampoo and offered 0.03 cents for the other 2. Living Proof frizz shampoo is a lot more expensive then that. What a insult. This is my favorite place and I'm so glad they finally brought one to Cartersville. Every time I come here everyone is nice. I love the salon here and I haven't gone anywhere else since then. Darlene does my hair and she does an amazing job at it even though my hair is very difficult to deal with and it has been years since I've really ever been happy with a hairstylist doing my hair and a lot of times if I go somewhere else they mess it up or rush it. Some older lady with brown hair followed me every step It was to the point where I was about to say something but finally after 15 minutes of literally following me within a foot of every step I took she said something I had my pods in and didn't hear her at first and I asked her could you pls say that one more time sorry I had my headphones in to which she replied you were here the other week right? I told my clients about it and my client said her daughter (whose mother is black and father is white) i've been treated the same way on multiple occasions and they refuse to buy anything from any Ulta and she was harassed by the same older woman who harassed me... she may or may not be a manager but she is an older white female with brown hair following around young people (and she may do this with every young person but to my knowledge she only did it to me and my clients daughter and we're both young women of color) and she's accusing/suspecting we're at the very least following around women especially young women who aren't exactly white. read more
