I've been a fan for years. It might seem a bit weird to be a fan of a shipping box and packing supply company, but Uline has a large catalog of items. Plus their shipping is so fast. I recently needed red bags or boxes for an event. When I can't find them locally, I usually go to Amazon, but due to their Prime shipping now taking a week sometimes I was in a bind since I needed them quicker than that. That's when Uline came to mind. I was able to quickly find red boxes that would work for my purpose. I ordered 100, and I had them in hand two days later. These were high quality boxes of thick cardboard that were easy to put together. Especially given Amazon's slower delivery, I foresee using Uline regularly going forward. read more

This is one of the worst companies ever. They send these giant catalogs to my company to people who don't work for us. I mean, these aren't even coming to actual employees of our company - just to people who do not work here. Constantly. I emailed/call and they claim we're removed from their list, then send another catalog to a different person who does not work for us. This has been going on for years. It's an incredibly simply concept. IF a company does not want your junk mail, remove them from your list? You save on postage and paper. Not these idiots. Deliberately misleading listings for 3M N95 masks when they have none. The listing shows all 3M models they stock with clickable links, but the actual SKU is the same for all with a "sub" notation (I should have caught that I suppose). Guess what you get when you order? Crappy made in China masks from a company not even listed on the ULINE site anywhere. They took them back after trying to tell me that their page wasn't misleading (gee never mentioning the actual product isn't misleading?) I ordered boxes for a job and was told I would receive them by 9pm the next day and scheduled to have workers fill the boxes and ship them out the next morning. The boxes never showed. When I called at 7pm to check to make sure they were still on track the customer service guy told me they would still be delivered by 9pm. Well this morning the boxes still haven't made it and my workers had to be sent home and MY customer will I'm sure have issues with this so I will need to make other arrangements. When I called the customer service line this morning I was told the boxes would be delivered by 9pm today. Was shocked that they wouldn't contact UPS to verify were the boxes were at this time. Any scam minded person can call Uline and open up an account under a business or owner's name and have products delivered to separate locations without authorization. Uline crams their crapalogs until my mailbox will not hold any more mail yesterday, causing me to drive to the Post Office and stand in line to get my mail. Sometimes, if the box is full, the Post Office throws them on the ground signalling burglars that nobody is home. Stephanie, is the snotty, interrupting, annoying orange in Customer Disservice, who will refuse to listen to your complaint and will put you in hold limbo if you ask for a supervisor. If a Uline supervisor reads this, they should monitor Stefanie's calls. read more

I honestly love this company! Super customer friendly and always available to help. They are not always the cheapest place, but at the end of the day I will pay slightly more in order to make sure my product is right and on the rare occasion something is wrong, Uline will fix their problem and get everything sorted out for me. read more

More than five stars please! I LOVE LOVE this company. I never leave here disappointed and this place makes my job so much easier when I'm working on marketing and promotional materials. I drove out to Waukegan (about 15 minutes away from my home) to pick up some gable boxes for a project I was working on. I got them home and realized they were too big, so they told me to bring everything back and they'd refund my $$. They did refund my money in 48 hours, and of course I left with another order of the right-sized boxes. I feel important coming to the customer pick-up area with all the other big giant trucks. Inside the warehouse, it's completely fascinating with little fork truck lifts driving all around and beeping at each other consistently. If you've seen Bee Movie, it reminded me of the busy bees making their honey. Quite comical in a way. These guys are efficient, their customer service rocks, they never screw up orders, and I leave 100% satisfied each and every time. read more

Recently we tried to purchase some paper towels and toilet paper and were told that they will not supply them since we haven't bought those exact items before even though we have been a loyal customer. This is an email I wrote to Uline...it says it all: Wow!? So utterly defeated tonight. So much for, "We are all in this together" and "Canada will be stronger for this and unite"!? Uline won't even sell me ONE container of Lysol wipes (and you have it in stock online!!) and your customer service rep didn't even give a damn. :( I wish I had got her name... I am so stressed and worried for my own family's health and safety with my job, that I have not been able to sleep for weeks. No, I am not a frontline worker (I am a dog walker & provider of pet services), but I help people with their dogs that ARE frontline workers. I go into people's houses to take care of their pets while they are at work. I have to touch common surfaces like door knobs, crates, keys, facets, etc. I am in and out of houses either walking the dogs or providing play dates/backyard breaks. I NEED Lysol wipes and hand sanitizer to do my job safely. My husband also does all the shopping for our family and his elderly parents and we have ONE car to share to accomplish all this and it needs to be sanitized...we are running out of things to sanitize with. We barely have any hand sanitizer left and we are down to one container of Lysol wipes. Good luck finding any of these supplies in the stores, let alone disposable gloves (not to mention the risk it takes to go into these stores to check their supplies). It is also worth mentioning that technically, my business is still legally allowed to be open. The Government of Alberta has listed my business as essential: "Businesses that provide for the health and welfare of animals, including veterinarians, farms, boarding kennels, stables, animal shelters, zoos, aquariums, research facilities and other service providers." I work for SPOT, and we are contractors, so we get NOTHING in the form of supplies from them...they are like UBER for dogs. Not that it made any difference because I am small potatoes, but I am an existing customer. I haven't ordered much but you would think there would be some preference to the fact that I didn't just Google you and stumble upon your Lysol wipes. I actually thought of your company from my past purchases and thought, "Oh, they will help me since they seem to be geared to helping businesses." Boy was I wrong! :( There is still so much we don't know about this virus and even though my clients keep telling me they have no symptoms, they could be asymptomatic and their house could be contagious and for that matter, so could I!!!??? This is why I NEED Lysol wipes! I clearly was not one of those people that hoarded supplies, but now I really need some. I asked for ONE container (not the SIX order minimum...I would take that though, but I don't want to be one of those hoarders out there!) and your staff said, "It came from the president, we can't sell them to customers that haven't ordered them before." I asked the rep if they could take my concern / story to the president and she gave me a canned answer that essentially meant "no." That is a really crappy way to treat your customers in a time like this. In some ways, I think I am more upset about the WAY I was treated on the phone by your staff...so heartless. WHY couldn't she ask her supervisor if she could sell me ONE Lysol wipe!!??? I even asked if she could put me on a list to get the first available supplies and this was her response, "I just keep telling people to check back at the end of the month." Um....how is that going to help me NOW and you can't even promise you will ship me some!?? Now, I am faced with the possibility of letting my customers down that are OUT THERE HELPING SOCIETY by quitting my job for my family's safety. :( Trust me...I make peanuts at this job, but I do it because I love dogs and helping people. Those clients may, in turn, have to cut back their hours or be stressed out finding alternative arrangements for their pets. Mr. President of Uline, keep that in mind when you are expecting your next shipment of supplies...my client, the truck driver, might have decided not to go to work because he can't find help for his dogs. Bought chair mats (that were supposed to be meant to use on thin carpet); not impressed at all. They dented under the chair wheels when I wasn't even sitting on it. And when I did sit on it, wouldn't even wheel smoothly on the mat. Actually, chair moves easier on the carpet than it did on the mat. Not only that, but I had to pay shipping back. This should not even have gotten to the point that I have to make this review. I politely called twice to be removed from there mailing list and all that happens is I get sent MORE catalogs. They promised to take me off their list both times! Went to my box today and there are 2 massive catalogs coming in at 810 pages each! ULINE just scammed me out of $405!!!! I purchased a $405 Uline Vacuum and did not like it. I called the customer service line and spoke with Andrew. He said yes you can send it back in and we will look at the condition to see if we think we can resell it. At my own expense I sent it back by UPS...a month or so went by without hearing from Uline so I thought I would call. They told me they "threw away my return" and I was out the $405. Really Uline you threw away my product return? Does anyone on Yelp want to spend money with a company that cashed my check then THREW AWAY my return. Just got an email from a corporate drone who said that all pick up orders under $300 will incur a $25 handling charge, in order to 'relieve congestion at the docks.' What a wonderful problem to have, congestion at the docks! This means that you have a great business, and people are spending money to keep your doors open! Sadly, this sounds like corp-speak to me: I've picked up things at the Waukegan facility on numerous occasions, and have NEVER experienced anything other than exceptional, speedy service. Those days are over, as I'll never be going back. Nice knowing you, U-line. I could always bump up my order to $300, but then the items won't fit in my car. GOOD NEWS! I was looking online and found similar items on Amazon plus free shipping! This place is not just for business to business customers and also not just for shipping. I picked up the plastic grip jars and clear round widemouth jars to organize my kitchen and combined with a label machine, they made for a fantastic organizational system. Best of all they are much cheaper per item than I have seen anywhere else. I did try ordering some online from another brand that seemed comparable, but the quality was just not as good. The plastic on the grip jars hasn't held up as well and more easily dents. Bottom line, is if you are able to buy things in bulk this place has a lot of items that are great for organization or a small business. read more

This company used to be good but it is clear they can care less about their smaller customers which is a shame. I used to go here to pick up all my packaging items once a month but then they decided to charge $25 for orders less than $300. Ok - way to wipe out a customer base since most people don't have a vehicle large enough to fit $300. Fine. So I start ordering for a delivery to my door. This experience is always terrible, and also the charge keeps going up over the years. Used to be only $55, now is $80. So now I do bigger deliveries to make up for the charge. They know they have to go to a residential address...yet every other delivery they are sending a HUGE semi to make the delivery. Only thing is a semi obviously isn't allowed down residential streets. So they then have to send a smaller truck to load up the items and deliver them to me. The dumbest thing is they have the nerve to ask if I will pick up my items down the street? If I wanted to pick them up I would just go to the store, oh wait I can't because I'll get charged $25! The delivery guys are also probably the most unhappy people ever too, you can tell they probably deal with this crap all day. read more

Customers can shop through the online catalog or have one sent in the mail for free. They carry most anything imaginable for day-to-day business operation. The majority of products offered come in bulk, which saves money and multiple trips. Shipping can be expensive for larger orders online. They offer the option to place an order online and pick it up at the warehouse in Waukegan. The warehouse is located just off of 41, in the same business park as Abbott Industries, and is easy to find. There are two Uline buildings within the business park and the warehouse is located in the east building. The online order pick-up area is located on the north side of that building close to the shipping docks. Orders will be ready to go when you arrive to pick them up. Depending on the amount spent, Uline offers free gifts, nothing overly exciting, but hey, it's free. The gifts, and how much one must spend in order to qualify for them is available in the online and physical catalogs. Uline saved me hundreds of dollars by buying the supplies I need in bulk. The quality of the products is some of the best available in the industry. Also, the variety of products available is second-to-none. If you run a small business, or were considering the possibility of it. Check with Uline as you determine the costs to run your business, because they'll have most of the items you will need. read more

I work for a large hospitality management company in southwestern Michigan. I ordered a set of gridwalls and baskets to display retail goods such as granola bars, candy, chips, etc. It hasn't even been 60 days since I received them and put them together and the metal has split and broken, making them unusable. I contacted customer service requesting a refund or a new set of gridwalls and was told, within 5 minutes of my email being sent, that the items only had a 30-day warranty and they would do nothing. This is a clear sign of a bad product, a company that knows it's selling a bad product, and no way to build any kind of customer-vendor relationship. When I call in, they greet me by my name (I know it is a computer caller ID trick), but none the less it is nice. I have had a good experience with Uline in past, but as of May 10th looks like Brad Harper (Branch Manager) is adding a $25 fee to all pickup orders less than $300 due to congestion issues. Sure as a customer picking up, I could always just order more to make the order $300 - but when we get in that range now the shipping materials won't fit in my car so I have to pay more money to rent a truck to pick up from Uline. My other option is to pay approx. $40-60 to have the materials delivered which also adds to my bottom line. So it looks like either way going forward I'm forced to pay more regardless by using Uline. I am very disappointed and it looks like you want to reduce congestion so I will help you out and look elseware next time I have a need for shipping supplies. Full line of quality shipping supplies (many LARGELY branded 'Uline', which I object to) and mostly next day delivery in Chicago area, but beware of some shady practices. Once you place your order, you're on the hook for shipping charges. I have occasionally placed orders in the AM where I call back as little as 15 minutes later to change an order or cancel and their standard response is "it's already been processed - there's nothing we can do" or "it's already on a truck and has left our dock". Seriously - only 15 minutes or so later? That's not Customer Service, that's self-serving Uline-helping-themselves service. It's not inability, it's unwillingness. If their practices are so inflexible that they can't make changes mid-production, they need to take another look at the meaning of service. It certainly gives one the appearance of gouging customers for shipping costs, and hoping they'll just keep the item rather than incur additional charges to return it. Buyer beware. read more
