I have been to Ukong twice for one minor and one major body car repair through my Allstate Insurance. It is one of the listed and trusted GoodHands network, and even though I live in Nassau County, I travel all the way to East Elmhurst to have them fix my car. Everyone is very friendly, professional, and timely in their repairs. There's even a nice waiting room while you wait for Enterprise to come to the shop to pick you up for the rental car. Will has been the absolute best in his customer service and still remembers me from the first time around. I fully trust them and have been very happy with all my repairs. Hi Folks. My Wife and I were recently hit by a trailer truck on the Long Island Expressway. Our Guardian Angel was watching us that day and we survived to tell the tale! The Car however took A HIT. When I Contacted My Progressive Insurance, My adjuster informed me of their dedicated office located right on site at Ukong/Empire Auto-Body. This made the whole process much easier. Arriving, I had no problems parking as I was able to just pull inside of their Huge facility. I checked in with Tony who was waiting at the bay to greet me. He was so informative and professional. He took pics of car and found some additional related damages that I was unaware of. He had even had already coordinated with Enterprise Rentals behind the scenes and they were on the way to pick me up. Wow, I'm impressed. Tony said the repairs would take about a week, as the doors required re-skinning. He would keep me informed throughout the process. He printed up all the pictures of the damages and had me sign papers allowing them to repair my car. So easy and quick, I didn't even have time to play with their neat coffee machine. I turned my head and the Enterprise pick up van had already arrived. Tony said he would keep in contact. We're all Done...Cool! The ride to Enterprise was only 5 minutes. I came in for an oil change and an emissions test. Literally the best experience i have ever had with an autoshop. The staff are honest, knowledgeable, and friendly, especially Tony. They guide and explain what you need for your vehicle, and they do it fast. I spent less than an hour waiting for my oil change and emissions test, and I got charged for a really fair price for the quality of service i got. I was referred to this auto shop from my purchase of a used car from Enterprise car sales. The location in East Elmhurst used this shop for all their repair needs. My auto-dimming rear view mirror was not working, and Cedric was a great help in diagnosing the issue and delivering on his promise to fix. This place is EPIC. *insert Handel's Hallelujah melody here* My brother got into an accident a couple of weeks back where he drove his car under an SUV and pretty much wrecked the hood and grill of the car (no damage to internal parts though, thank god.) Most places that do repair estimated about $2-3 grand to fix the car, but the car was only like $5k, so we were contemplating on whether or not to fix it. My aunt referred this place to my mom so we drove the car there to get it fixed. First the service: Everyone, I repeat, everyone is so genuinely nice and honest. The guy who helped us was a person named John, and he assured my mother that he would give us a price check within a couple of hours (which they did). A day later, they actually called us saying it would be $200 less than what they estimated. The work turned out to cost $1800, which was way less than what other people charged. My aunt said that they did the same thing to her and cut the cost as much as they could. It makes them so trustable. What else made us trust these people is that my mom left a bunch of stuff in the trunk, and the receptionist (a very nice lady) told us she would hold onto the stuff. Nothing went missing! The result of their work was fantastic. I can't tell that the car ever got in an accident and everything looks spanking new. This place is right on Northern below the highway. Make sure to come here if you want to save money but receive fantastic service. read more

I got into 2 accidents, both within a month of each other...oops! I took my nissan rogue here to get fixed both times. They did an EXCELLENT job! The car came back like new both times, and completely cleaned too :) The 2nd accident I got into, I called them right away. This was a couple days after hurricane Sandy. They were about to close, but Tony answered the phone and waited for me to drive my car there. They are very nice and honest and I highly recommend them! read more

Had my car repaired at this shop after the back corner of it was damaged by an electrical fire from a manhole on the street. I am from out of state and did not know of any car shops in the area but my insurance sent me to this shop. They did a great job with the repair and were very good at keeping me updated during the process and making sure everything that needed to be done was taken care of. Would recommend them to anyone needing an auto repair in the area. read more

I brought my car in to have the front bumper repaired and they damaged my rear bumper in the process. The front bumper was repaired but had overspray on it. When I asked Tony (the owner/manager) about the lack of craftsmanship and carelessness, he told me that he did not do the work or cause the dent in my rear bumper. I also found that someone had rifled through my trunk, which he also took no responsibility for. I explained to him that whether he performed the work himself or not, he is responsible for the actions of his employees. Thank God we had photos of the condition of the car at the time of drop off. Thankfully the customer service from Progressive forced him to have some degree of professionalism by making him fix his mistakes. Overall it is obvious that there is no quality control and that they take no pride in their work. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! read more

I had a car accident ... and they fixed it. but what happend to me was some kind of lack of careness . they didnt put the swaybar to right place and i have to go back , and they did tight up the front stablizer , which could me cause another accident . i called and told about it. they told me it is just a piece of bolt , doesnt effect anything with driving . i was so mad what the guy told me . i was getting back the car from car accident and the car's a small ... a piece of bolt .. a piece of bolt. Seriously, my car is nicer now than when I bought it. Had $4600 worth of damage. Not really knowledgeable about this area or car repairs or this area for car repairs... My insurance works with this auto body shop, guarantees all their work and if they didn't, I'd come here anyway. This place is phenomenal. Whenever I'm dealing with auto body shop people, they speak to me like an idiot- maybe I am about cars, but you know I don't know what you're talking about or what that piece is/where it goes! Everyone here was extremely helpful, patients and professional in their communication with me. Tony took me to my car and I had tears of joy in my eyes. I can't tell you how beautiful it is. They cleaned my car! inside and out, replaced the hood, fender, bumper, air filter and some other parts I don't know where they are. He handed me his business card after escorting me to my car, driving it out of the garage for me, sharing a story about his own recent accident and personally guaranteed all his work. I came in on a Saturday and spoke to the owner Tony (who by the way is a wonderful man ) and we spoke about my vehicle after it getting involved in an accident with a truck but he definitely gave me options and made a few calls and the parts i needed were in by Monday . I was recently involved in a collision. Since my car is older i was advised to junk the car and buy a new one. I love my car and it only has 60000 miles on it. I took it here on my insurance company's recommendation. They were extremely helpful and restored my car to pre- accident condition. From start to finish, it was a pleasure dealing with this business. I dealt with Eric and he kept his word throughout the process. When I brought the car in we did a walk-around and he pointed out the damage and went through a list of things people commonly forget when they leave the car. It's a small touch, but that was helpful to make sure I didn't leave anything important in the garage. He promised to call the next day with a complete estimate of cost and when the car would be ready. Eric said that he'd call the day prior to the car being ready so I would be able to coordinate a ride or dropping off the rental and he did exactly what he promised. I couldn't make it the day that the car was ready - due to bad traffic around LaGuardia - I ran late. So I picked it up the next day. When I got the car back it looked great you couldn't tell that I'd been in an accident the week before. Since the body shop does a lot of work with Allstate there was minimal paperwork for me to deal with. Dealing with Eric and the team at Ukong made the unpleasant experience of an accident a little easier to deal with. My only suggestion is to make the connection between Ukong Auto Corp and Empire Auto Body (the name that Allstate gave me) a little clearer. At first, I was wondering if Empire went out of business because I couldn't find anything recent about them on the internet. Also, check the password for free WiFi in the waiting room.
