Needed a new exhaust system I purchased online to be installed on a 2021 Honda Civic HB Sport. I arrived around 3:30 PM on a Friday afternoon for an estimate. The shop was busy at the time of my arrival, so I waited approximately 20 minutes to explain the installation I needed and get an estimate. It looks like the shop can hold about 3 or 4 cars. The price for labor was fair, I would say. After accepting the offer, I waited approximately another 30 minutes to have my car worked on. Jose completed the installation for me. The installation (cat-back exhaust) took approximately 40 minutes. So far no issues. One tip is to be mindful that the entrance to the shop is on a very narrow street. I called ahead of time and was quoted $100 for a muffler install that I will bring my own part. When I arrived, Jose told me it will cost $120 And he tried to give me a silly reason. I told him I only have $100 as we agreed on. He finally gave in and settled for the $100. The shop should not try to charge more than it's supposed to. Came back for a second visit to swap out my aftermarket axle back and muffler delete to original equipment as I was preparing to sell my car. Not sure what exactly happen like what others have said, maybe because business has not been good and they've decided to increase their prices. I was quoted 2x more than my original visit because they said it required "more" work. I laughed aloud because it was suppose to be an easy swap and reweld job. Eventually, they were able to lower the price but it was still more than what I was expecting to pay. I had to monitor the guy who worked on my car as he was throwing around my aftermarket parts and misplaced several nuts/bolts. This will be the last time I will visit. read more

I had to change my review to 1 out of 5 Stars. Just one BIG catch - when they were raising my compact car up on the lift they crashed and bent my roof mounted bike carrier which my girlfriend remembers hearing happen. I must have been just outside so I didn't notice this happen. No employee said anything or checked anything when that happened. So I didn't find out until 2 weeks later when I tried to use the bike carrier and one of the aluminum arms were bent. That's when my girlfriend told me she remembers hearing a small crash of my bike carrier when they were lifting my car at the muffler shop. Replacing this bike carrier is almost double the muffler work I paid for that day. So my advice - watch as these guys handle your vehicle! read more

I bought a new catalytic converter and took it here at 9:10am and Jose was there ready to work. Didn't have to wait at all. They replaced it and a small piece of pipe that connected to the muffler cause it had a hole. Now my car doesn't make any loud noise which is what i wanted. Came to this place after being recommended by a friend. I originally went to the muffler shop near Citi field for a muffler delete but after having it deleted for a while I felt like my car was losing its low end power and it was just getting too loud and drony in the cabin. The owner immediately took my car in and lifted it and was astonished as to a bad job the folks at Citi field done. It took him only 20-30 minutes to reattach my muffler because he did have to do some cutting and welding of my tips so that it can fit just right. He took his time and is very precise with his work and will never rush through anything. The parking situation can be difficult since it is in a alleyway and it can get very crowded and hectic. I would recommend parking near a drive way especially if the owner is working on another car. You may have to wait a little since there's a lot of people wanting to get work done. So make sure you have the time. The prices I would have to say is fair for the quality of work being done. Don't try to negotiate with the owner too much as he can be thrown off and would request a higher price instead. I had to pay 140$ to reattach my muffler and that's not too bad considering the people at Citi field and other muffler shops was charging well over 200$. read more

Just got my flex pipe replaced for a really good price, no BS and worry since Jose is a really nice guy. Long story short, flex pipes on DC headers are prone to leak so get those replaced the first sign your hear a leak. Brought my own Vibrant SS flex and Jose had me out in about 30mins. Other shops will have you paying up to 2 hours of time, and since I have no time for nonsense, I went to King Muffler and very happy with the results! This is a step up from the old Shea Stadium/CitiField exhaust shops. He has two lifts but only works on 1 car at a time so temper waiting expectations. He has all kinds of exhaust piping sizes but it's crush bent, not mandrel bent. Also, it is MIG welding. If you're on a budget, don't complain. I went in to redo the rear section of my exhaust with new piping and muffler. He was pretty meticulous in lining everything straight and centered which I liked cause I'm a bit OCD like that. I bumped a tree root that extended into the roadway and immediately heard the change in sound that says you've sustained muffler damage. Sigh. Everyone advised me to go out tp CitiField and haggle. Instead I elected to do some online "research". And eventually the reviews here convinced me to go look for Jose at King Muffler. I'm glad I did. He showed me the separation and advised that I get the right gasket from the dealer, bring it and he'd install it. Then found that I'd broken a motor mount and advised me to go to my mechanic and get it replaced. Then dropped the car from the lift and charged not one penny for the help. Shop does decent work at fair prices. They have multiple lifts and can probably service two vehicles at the same time. Pretty organized and clean. I brought my own muffler and tip to have them install. They cut off the old muffler, fabricated a section of pipe, and welded everything together with brackets in about an hour. Welds were not very neat but they seem to be sealing. Was quoted $80 but when I went there to get the work done, they tried to increase the price to $90. I told him he quoted me $80 and he agreed to do it at the original quote. When I got home and rolled over some bumps, I noticed a banging sound. I thought it might be my old muffler rolling around in the boot but when I inspected the new muffler, I found that a bracket was contacting the car's frame. Drove back the next day and they cut off a piece of the bracket they made to make shorter so the pipe doesn't move as much. Overall, a decent experience. If I had to do it again, I would go back. p.s. there was still a little bit too much movement in the muffler, so I installed polyurethane hangers so stiffen it up. read more
