I had my leaking exhaust repaired at a nearby gas station service center because it might not pass inspection. After the repair, the car sounded like a loud sports car. At first, I thought it was normal, but over the next eight months, the noise became worse. Eventually, the exhaust started dangling. I returned to the same service center several times, but they only provided temporary fixes and made excuses. Thankfully, I found King Muffler. I called and stopped by the next day, and Jose quickly assessed the problem: the flex pipe was broken and the catalytic converter was missing. I asked Jose to proceed with the repair, and amazingly, everything was finished in less than 30 minutes. We even had breakfast nearby while waiting. When we returned, the car sounded as good as new! I'm very satisfied with the workmanship and highly recommend King Muffler for their fast, honest, and excellent service. The repair cost me much less than I expected, and now I have peace of mind knowing the issue was properly taken care of. Excellent job, King Muffler, Jose, and crew! Thank you very much. read more

I brought in a catalytic converter to be installed in my car. Jose and the other guys were very nice and helpful and it was significantly less expensive than a garage I used in the past. PS, after Jose's great work, my car passed NYS inspection. Jose, thank you so much. I'll definitely be back for any similar automotive work. read more

I brought my own complete exhaust along with four (4) oxygen sensors for them to install ($550.00). And most importantly, I passed my inspection! Extremely professional, friendly and reasonable prices. An asset to Yelp and its community. Highly recommend. Thank you Jose and staff A+++ read more

These guys are dumb little dudes. Drove almost 2hrs to have an exhaust put on because I read the reviews on how excellent their services are and these amateurs told me the exhaust I have doesn't fit my car. Totally blew my mind! I'm a car guy I know it fits. Drove back home so confused, went to the nearest Meineke muffler shop and they installed it. 1000% don't recommend this place. read more

There is something to be said and appreciated about a clean, efficient and honest work environment. They offered several options on repairing the muffler and all were reasonably priced. The job was done in less than an hour. Worth the trip to Queens. read more

Jose is a true muffler mechanic...... We live on the other side of Brooklyn and I'm happy we ditched our old muffler guy on Fulton street ... My Nissan's muffler rotted out & it was less then 6 months old due to the fact that our old muffler guy welded a Crome custom tip on but he pitched it too high so water always rolled back into the muffler ... Any hey the car was getting loud and we didn't like the attention it was getting so I went to yelp and behold we met Jose the owner today ... I might say late on a Saturday afternoon @ 3:pm he took our car right in for repair .. This is not your one car muffler shop repair at a time ... he can actually be doing four repairs at the same time ... four car lifts ... Clean shop & fully stocked ... he does custom & stainless steel exhaust systems... Has two pipe bending machines so he can configure custom bends ... Jose brought to our attention that the wife had hit the flex pipe up front & cracked it ... So he cut that out & installed a new flex pipe & installed a new muffler @ $ 180. Cash .... Great price & honest service ... Highly recommend !!! Thanks Jose ... Greg D & family read more

Needed a new exhaust system I purchased online to be installed on a 2021 Honda Civic HB Sport. I arrived around 3:30 PM on a Friday afternoon for an estimate. The shop was busy at the time of my arrival, so I waited approximately 20 minutes to explain the installation I needed and get an estimate. It looks like the shop can hold about 3 or 4 cars. The price for labor was fair, I would say. After accepting the offer, I waited approximately another 30 minutes to have my car worked on. Jose completed the installation for me. The installation (cat-back exhaust) took approximately 40 minutes. So far no issues. One tip is to be mindful that the entrance to the shop is on a very narrow street. There is the potential to block traffic, so be very careful where you park while you wait. read more

Came in because I needed to install a car back exhaust. Big job...not executed very clean. These guys are more for small quick jobs. Do not bring a performance part expecting professional work. $300 was the price but it was the same price in an actual performance shop. It was an AWE track cat back exhaust worth $2000. Now it's worth $100 because they made unnecessary cuts into the metal to cut corners. Again... they're great at quick jobs just not performance ones... read more

Needed to weld a muffler that had cracked at the connector flange for the tail pipe. I was using a bent coat hanger to keep the loose tail end from knocking on the chassis. Philip quoted $80 (which I thought was fair) and proceeded to cut the cracked piece off and shape an extension piece. The repaired weld looked clean and solid. The work was done in 20 mins and I was back on the road. Thanks for the quick and quality work. -Kenny read more

This was probably one of the best experience ever as far as car repair as I've ever had. Because of my car had to get my own muffler. But the ship carries most common mufflers. Looks like they do custom work also. Jose, owner, it's very nice. Not intimidating or condescending like most car repair guys are. Arrived early with muffler in hand. Jose took me right away. And zip zip zip. Half hour later was in my car and out the door. Very reasonable price. Less than I expected. The garage is spotless. They work clean. Waited inside by the time I left there were several folks waiting already. I recommend Jose and King Muffler Highly. You will not be disappointed. read more

I called ahead of time and was quoted $100 for a muffler install that I will bring my own part. When I arrived, Jose told me it will cost $120 And he tried to give me a silly reason. I told him I only have $100 as we agreed on. He finally gave in and settled for the $100. The shop should not try to charge more than it's supposed to. Otherwise, even if they do a great job, people will be turned off and they will start losing customers. read more

Jose is heaven sent! I went to a few Mechanics and all said I needed about 2 thousand worth of mufflers repair. Telling me I had to change my catalytic and muffler. I started to do my research to find a good muffler guy. I came across King muffler. They took a look at my issue and diagnosed a rather easy fix that ONLY cost me 80 dollars. I TRULY RESPECT this establishments honesty and integrity! They did not take advantage of me and fixed the issue, which was a gasket. THIS IS THE BEST PLACE IF YOU HAVE ANY MUFFLER ISSUE! THANK YOU JOSE AT KING MUFFLER! read more

Second time I've been here. I called before hand and was quoted $90 for an exhaust swap(I brought my own exhaust). After the job was done the older gentlemen said it was $120. It took 30mins and he was trying to argue that "it doesn't matter how long it took" He took the $90 saying that "she didn't tell me you were coming". TLDR: basic services trying to overcharge. read more

Service was great. Jose, Tony, and a young man fixed my muffler tail pipe and flex pipe right away. Came back for a second visit to swap out my aftermarket axle back and muffler delete to original equipment as I was preparing to sell my car. Not sure what exactly happen like what others have said, maybe because business has not been good and they've decided to increase their prices. I was quoted 2x more than my original visit because they said it required "more" work. I laughed aloud because it was suppose to be an easy swap and reweld job. Eventually, they were able to lower the price but it was still more than what I was expecting to pay. I had to monitor the guy who worked on my car as he was throwing around my aftermarket parts and misplaced several nuts/bolts. This will be the last time I will visit. read more

Good work here. Come early for fast service or else you might be waiting on the line. I had to bring my own muffler because my car was pretty old, but they were able to put on the muffler I provided within 20 minutes and I was out of there. The reviews usually speak for themselves and I was not disappointed at all. Noticed a definite performance increase (nothing huge) based on the muffler I chose and it was not too loud either. Good customer service, good work, and fair pricing for pipe replacement. In and out in 40mins. I would recommend! 4 out of 5 Stars. UPDATE 2 weeks after... I had to change my review to 1 out of 5 Stars. Just one BIG catch - when they were raising my compact car up on the lift they crashed and bent my roof mounted bike carrier which my girlfriend remembers hearing happen. I must have been just outside so I didn't notice this happen. No employee said anything or checked anything when that happened. So I didn't find out until 2 weeks later when I tried to use the bike carrier and one of the aluminum arms were bent. That's when my girlfriend told me she remembers hearing a small crash of my bike carrier when they were lifting my car at the muffler shop. Replacing this bike carrier is almost double the muffler work I paid for that day. So my advice - watch as these guys handle your vehicle! read more

Excellent job, great price, didn't take long. read more

Came to this place after being recommended by a friend. I originally went to the muffler shop near Citi field for a muffler delete but after having it deleted for a while I felt like my car was losing its low end power and it was just getting too loud and drony in the cabin. The owner immediately took my car in and lifted it and was astonished as to a bad job the folks at Citi field done. It took him only 20-30 minutes to reattach my muffler because he did have to do some cutting and welding of my tips so that it can fit just right. He took his time and is very precise with his work and will never rush through anything. The parking situation can be difficult since it is in a alleyway and it can get very crowded and hectic. I would recommend parking near a drive way especially if the owner is working on another car. You may have to wait a little since there's a lot of people wanting to get work done. So make sure you have the time. The prices I would have to say is fair for the quality of work being done. Don't try to negotiate with the owner too much as he can be thrown off and would request a higher price instead. I had to pay 140$ to reattach my muffler and that's not too bad considering the people at Citi field and other muffler shops was charging well over 200$. read more

Just got my flex pipe replaced for a really good price, no BS and worry since Jose is a really nice guy. Long story short, flex pipes on DC headers are prone to leak so get those replaced the first sign your hear a leak. Brought my own Vibrant SS flex and Jose had me out in about 30mins. Other shops will have you paying up to 2 hours of time, and since I have no time for nonsense, I went to King Muffler and very happy with the results! Call ahead for a price quote, and cash is preferred. When driving in, make sure you're on the 102nd street since it's a one way street, it'll be in your left. read more

Called ahead of time to make sure they had the piece for my car, Jose was great. We showed up on a Tuesday morning and got really lucky because there was no wait. Jose and his partner took a look a the bottom of the car and even pointed out a part that was broken and told us to take the car to the mechanic to get it looked at. He then told us our muffler would take 45 minutes to replace. We took a walked around, grabbed some food. When we got back the car was ready and he showed us the work they had performed. I would highly recommend them. read more

Need a muffler replacement or repair, look no further than KING MUFFLER I have a 1989 Volvo 780 Bertone, and I looked everywhere including EBAY and Volvo Sweden for replacement parts. To No avail I almost gave up!! So frustrating! luckily I stumbled upon King Muffler Shop on Google muffler repair searches. I called for info, and the sweetest, kindest lady took my call and told me to come in for a look see. My hopes were not high when I arrived at the shop. 45 min later I was out the door a very "happy camper"!!!! Had the parts been available at Volvo, I would have paid about $400! (not including installation charges) Out the door from Kink Muffler for $160 I was so happy, gave Jose $200 and shook his hand in appreciation. My car is now as quiet as a morning breeze! This is the "right place" for everything MUFFLER!! Thanks again Jose! read more

This is a step up from the old Shea Stadium/CitiField exhaust shops. He has two lifts but only works on 1 car at a time so temper waiting expectations. He has all kinds of exhaust piping sizes but it's crush bent, not mandrel bent. Also, it is MIG welding. If you're on a budget, don't complain. I went in to redo the rear section of my exhaust with new piping and muffler. He was pretty meticulous in lining everything straight and centered which I liked cause I'm a bit OCD like that. Price is very reasonable too. read more

King Muffler provides great service at great prices, bring cash, as at these prices, they don't do credit cards and that's OK! There is a Deli with an ATM on the corner. I went in without an appointment, I needed a muffler, (my car has two and a "resonator") I was in and out in less than an hour, I found that amazing. read more

I bumped a tree root that extended into the roadway and immediately heard the change in sound that says you've sustained muffler damage. Sigh. Everyone advised me to go out tp CitiField and haggle. Instead I elected to do some online "research". And eventually the reviews here convinced me to go look for Jose at King Muffler. I'm glad I did. He showed me the separation and advised that I get the right gasket from the dealer, bring it and he'd install it. Then found that I'd broken a motor mount and advised me to go to my mechanic and get it replaced. Then dropped the car from the lift and charged not one penny for the help. I tipped him (absolutely unsolicited) just for the straightforward, refreshing honesty and let him know why.
