Totally scam and fraud! Be warned and listen what they did to trap us with the twice of the car market value. I and my husband found 2014 Jetta VW on cargurus.com for $7,999 and went to purchase the car. Unfortunately, the car has damaged structures and we could not accept it. Then they negotiated that they will fix the car with no cost and they want to sell it for the same market price. The seller Mark kept us in the office for 8 hours, finally they gave us a fake orange envelope with no contract in it. When we realized that we don't have a contract of the car, we have to pick up the contract on later day. Once we received the contract, we saw they made up fraudulently, the price of the car stated $14,300. And we never sign the contract. When we called to complain, the store owner Mohammed said that he fired the seller Mark for it. But Mohammed never tried to change the fraud car price. Not only that, Mohamed also denied to fix the structure damages which they said they will fix it for free. They are not only a fraud and scammer, but they also violated the lemon law to sell such the damaged car without revealing the history of the car. They fraudulently stated the car price as the twice of the car market value and signed the contract electrically by themselves. Now we stuck with the finance to pay back for their fraudulent price on the contract. Be warned that they have been investigated and that they lie to getting away from their fraud activities. Now everyone tells why they are not in the business to sell the car any more? Not worth a star, but who ever had the same experience with them like us and I'm sure they have need to stand up and suit this company. read more

Park Slope Auto Center - Auto Repair Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

I stopped into the (Park Slope Auto Center) this morning at 08:00 hrs. for my routine car (Inspection) and (Shorted out Brake Light) Drivers side. I spoke to Mr Mohammed about both problems. He told me that the top housing part of the brake light was cracked and water went inside the housing area and shorted out the Blub. I received a ticket for this on March 26th 2020. Mr. Mohammed said that I needed a whole new housing for the left side light the drivers side which costed $260.00 Dollars. I told him to just change it out and I passed my car inspection all in one day. Always a fantastic job by Mr. Mohammed and his crew.+ read more

Mohammad and Kamal are awesome! Great service Hard workers Affordable prices. The guys at Park Slope Auto Center will take care of you! I called to change my toyota Prius two front headlights b/c both headlights. Both of my headlights were foggy and faded in color. I did buy the parts ahead of time b/c it does save on costs. They charged for labor which was very reasonable, compared to other shops. I saw them work on my car from start to finish and was very impressed at their attention to detail. =) Waiting area is being renovated so that will be a nice addition. Thanks guys! Will definitely be back for other auto needs! read more

I have been going here for years to change the oil, brakes, windshield wipers, rotors etc or bigger issues. It's always fast and on point!!!! I would recommend Park Slope Auto Center to all my friends either you need to fix your car or even for a car inspection. Thank you for staying open during pandemic!! read more

Mohammad and his guys are the best. First time here, they totally shot me straight. Getting my car inspected. They let me see the brakes needed replacing and showed me everything they were doing. We chatted about all kinds of things while the work was getting done. Super affordable. This place is a great gem in the neighborhood! read more

Have taken the car here twice now -- once for an oil change and once for inspection. Both times the service was excellent. When we brought car in for inspection, Mohammed told us the front and rear brakes needed new rotors and brake pads which he took the time to show us. Rate was completely reasonable. and they did everything same day. Very friendly and reputable service. Anytime I request a quote through Yelp, I get a response message or a callback within minutes. read more

Park Slope Auto Center - installing the rotors - Auto Repair Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

I had a couple repairs on my new (used, but new to me) SUV, and brought it to PSAC. Mohammad was able to focus on the *actual* parts that needed repair versus trying to get me to pay for unnecessary "fixes." He was able to tell me about my car's past care, which was accurate as it was a family vehicle so his analysis was confirmed when I followed up later with my family member. The repairs were completed same-day, and were done well. It was raining outside, and Mohammad drove me home - just a few blocks away - as a courtesy. He even booked an appointment at another local shop for an audio repair that was best done elsewhere - and followed up at that time to see if I had a good experience at the referral spot. All in all, a surprisingly good experience at a car repair shop and great managerial customer service. read more

I stop by (Park Slope Auto) this morning at around 07:30 hrs or 07:45 hrs to bring my car Chrysler 300 2009 in to change my Driver's side rear view mirror, which was broken by a (Food Delivery) guy a couple of months ago. Also to change my Passenger side whole back light casing which was $250.00 Dollars to replace the old one was cracked and broken, I thought this price was a little to excessive for my liking and was disappointed. Not that I didn't want to believe Mr. Mohammad. I just thought the prices for back side casings are pricey at best. I left there after 10:00 hrs and was satisfied with the work and efforts the guys always put into fixing my car right. read more

Park Slope Auto is an honest locally owned auto repair shop. You won't find a shiny customer lounge or top of the line POS transaction equipment. But what you will find is: Mohammad & Staff were extremely polite, understanding, and tried in every way to cater to what I needed. They also have reasonable prices and I believe they generally understand most folks do not really enjoy lumping over cash to make a repair or maintenance on a vehicle. With that being said, they are also brutally honest & will basically let you know everything that is going on and you can trust them to actually give your car the best service you ultimately want. Nothing hidden or upcharged just because they can. Futhermore, if they do not know how to do something, haven't done it before, etc...not that this happens often or ever....they are the type of business that will be upfront with you and make sure that everything is completed with 100% confidence and satisfaction. They also were the cheapest BMW oil change quote by far (BY FAR) which many other shops around seemed to understand everyone needs to change their oil so why not just charge 50% or double what Park Slope Auto Center actually does. NYC is populated enough, so why not? To that - I say head to Park Slope Auto, drop your car off, and head next door for some good food while you wait. Also - extremely easy to get to from Manhattan. (35 minute drive from the Upper West Side) read more

My power steering fluid was leaking and I needed it fixed the same day at a reasonable price. I called several auto repair shops, and after speaking with Mohammad at Park Slope Auto Center, I knew that was the right place to take my car. He was articulate, knowledgeable, and very helpful. We looked under the hood together to point out and discuss the problem as well as options to fix. His estimate was comparable to the other quotes I received. And the best part was they were able to do the work the same day whereas the other auto repair shops could not. He was kind and communicative and offered to let me hang out while they did the work. If you need car repairs, look no further than Park Slope Auto Center! read more

Thieves thieves thieves! Came here to tighten a bolt on my car. I pointed out which bolt needed to be tighten to the mechanic. The mechanic didn't need to do anything. The car didn't need to go on the lift either. Just a simple lose bolt under my car to tighten since I didn't own the special air gun to tighten it myself. It took the guy about 23 seconds and it was finished. I asked him. "Do I owe you anything?" He responded. "Yea, the boss said $30 but he'll give you a discount. Only $25." That was absolutely ridiculous. This is place is awful and I would never come back. Rip off greedy people run this shit hole! It's never busy either. Which can mean a few things. The people here probably do shit jobs. The customers don't wind up coming back because of this. And lastly they are plane untrustworthy people. Save your money and go somewhere else. There are about 10 mechanic shops all within a blocks radius. read more

I haven't had a mechanic that I really liked and trusted since my former mechanic died suddenly... in the mid-90's!!! I'm really glad that I chose them, because The Beautiful Beast (99 4Runner) is nearly 20 years old and needed some work. This does mean that I could get taken to the cleaners. Mohammad took the time to show me what was wrong and to explain everything, which I really appreciate. And his work ethic and style of service are old school in the best way - customer first, thorough and reliable. Mustafa, who worked on my car, was also friendly, worked on that car all day, and didn't complain (was quite accommodating and wisely stopped me from trying to monkey myself into it in a skirt) when I asked if he could lower the car to get my charging cord. Finally, their waiting area might not be pretty, but the cream-colored single seat is _extremely_ comfortable! I'll take that over plastic seating all day long, just don't wear your most expensive white suit when you go to get your car fixed. You can tell they've been in business a while because of the older signs. Mohammad's father opened the shop in the late 80's. They must be doing something right! Five stars. read more

I went for an oil change and filter check. The mechanic said no problem. He also told me as he had the car on the elevated jack, that my brake pads in the rear were very worn down. He actually took the tire off and the pad and showed me himself. I compared it to the front ones and they were very worn. If they didn't catch the pad problem I would have eventually ruined my rear rotors which would have been a real pain and bigger expense. Mohammad and his crew are all very nice, honest, and forthright.. I feel like I have a trusty mechanic now, that I can depend on. Great job! I'll be back again to gladly support this local Mom and Pop neighborhood business. read more

I've had nothing but great experiences with Mohammad and his crew. I've been bringing my 20 year old 4Runner here for 4-5 years now and the work gets done quickly, it gets done well, and they're nice guys to deal with. Highly recommended. read more

I brought my car here the other day for just a simple oil change and had a great experience! No wait, good price and friendly workers. So to be honest, I know nothing about cars. Muhammad not only explained to me in simple terms what was wrong with my car, but showed me. I have a pretty old car so I've been to my fair share of mechanics, but this shop is by far the best in the area. I'll definitely be coming back soon to get some work done! read more

We took our beloved adventure mobile to Mohammad at Park Slope Auto after she was totalled by a reckless driver. Several other mechanics turned us down due to the difficulty of the work and state of the vehicle, but Mohammad was incredibly compassionate and patient with us. They were meticulous in surveying the damage and explaining our various options, and at no point did we feel pressured into spending unnecessary cash. Not only did they hook us up with a beautiful custom weld job, he finished the repair with a heavy duty rust-proofing. From the outside this garage may appear as your standard old-school auto shop, but the people here really take pride in their craft and offer unparalled customer service. A sincere thanks to Mohammad and his team for saving our bus from the scrap yard and getting us back on the road. read more

Visited this place a few times and I must say, they not only provided me with quality service but they will send one of their mechanics to test drive your vehicle with you to ensure your satisfaction. I used to go to another place closer to them but what really made me appreciate them is they don't just tell you what's wrong with your vehicle, they actually show you. That's all anyone can ask for. Highly recommended... read more

As a relatively new car owner living in Brooklyn, I relied entirely on online reviews in selecting an automotive shop for my repairs. I decided to go with Park Slope Auto Center for the myriad repairs that my car needed, and I've been extremely happy with the level of service that I received. Mohammed is very clear and detailed in his findings and recommendations for issues, and even texted me photos of the progress he was making on a particularly involved repair job. I'm a very satisfied customer and I'll keep going back to Mohammed and his staff for as long as I'm living in Brooklyn. read more

I thought I had found a good car at a good price on Facebook Marketplace. I messaged them and made an appointment to see the car. I called this morning to confirm. When I arrived they told me that the car had been sold yesterday. I drove all the way from NJ to see the car, so I lost money on gas and tolls plus 2 hours of driving time. A total waste! They need to update their inventory online to avoid the bait and switch routine. read more

I have a 2000 BMW z3 . Over the course of past few months I have needed front suspension work done, work on the rear bumper, and most recently undercarriage cleaning along with serpentine and steering wheel belt replacement . All of these unfortunate complications of city driving. Park slope auto center has done a great job with all these repairs, the car drives wonderfully , and the prices charged were very fair. I appreciate their honest work (hence notice I have become a repeat customer) and would strongly recommend to anyone having a car problem, be it a large or small issue. read more

Found park slope auto on line via yelp. Dropped in to get an oil change / filter changes/ light bulb changed. Met with Mohammed and he was courteous and clear; some mechanics I've been to do not take time to explain things to you but he did with patience. Price was fair and the work was done quickly AND they have a waiting room which is not common for some other indy shops. He's also quick to respond via yelp if you needed a quote or have questions read more

Dishonest place. I called to a quote to swap out my summer tires to winter ones. I was quoted $30 over the phone but when the job was done, they said it's $60. Double of what they originally quoted. I told them that I called and they told me it's $30, they simply said no, it's $60. read more

Beware. Was initially suspicious when they insisted on all cash. Made sense later when I asked for a receipt and got excuse after excuse, accountant isn't in, system is down, etc... this went on for weeks. Only got a response when I downgraded my review and then was harassed with txts and phone calls to change it. Kicker was when they asked me how much the bill was? I asked them to look in their system and got more excuses. Very shady. They are more concerned with pumping up their Yelp ratings than anything and will likely post some bs response/excuse to this ASAP. read more

Highly recommended , trusting, honesty, professional and quality work . The electrically system in my very old car was not working after calling a few places in Brooklyn and being told misleading information I brought my car to Park Slope Auto Center, they took good care of my car examining it from top to bottom advising me of other issues they found. They took their time and fixed the electrically at a reasonable cost in addition took care of my brake lines which could of prevented and future problems. Park Slope Auto Center main priority was to insure my car was safe to drive which gave and my family assurance that they are knowledgably and honest. The owner took time to explain all the work being done and also advise they insure all their work which gave us a peace of mind. So if you have car issued and want a honest mechanical I suggest you bring it Park Slope Auto Center.. read more

Quick, easy, & inexpensive. Mohammed and his crew took care of a routine service on my '13 Prius, for hundreds less than the dealership quote. Only hiccup was that after paying, I asked for a detailed receipt, and was told to write my email address down so they could email one After a week w/ no receipt I called and asked again. Three days later, had to call and ask a third time. Mohammed was very apologetic (but offered no real explanation for the delay), and emailed the receipt & explanation of services to me by the end of the day - and hooked me up w/ a courtesy voucher, which was nice. I'll come back - nice guys, good service on my auto. read more

Fantastic service! I swung in here on a Friday to have my car inspected. They reminded me I needed to have brakes and rotors replaced (which I knew) and couldn't pass the inspection until that was complete. They offered to do it for me on the spot and quickly. They completed the replacement in under an hr and we're professional and inexpensive. I would certainly return here for future car related needs and issues. Great find in the neighborhood! Only reason for not giving 5 stars was they said they would email me a printout detailing the work that was completed for my records and after a week I had not received it. I did call after waiting a week and they emailed it right away. read more

My GF dropped off my car to replace all 4 of my rotors and brake pads and Mohammed honored the quote he gave me and the work done was excellently. Thank you guys and I would definitely come back to this shop again! A week later, we hit a big bump in the road which caused noise somewhere near the engine. Kamal looked into it and it was difficult to spot exactly where the noise was coming from, then Mohammed took it for a drive, told Kamal to hammer this piece of metal back and the noise went away. Sometimes, all it takes is a hammer. Thank you and great work again guys. read more

I came into Park Slope Auto yesterday for several things on my car (oil change, inspection renewal, and some minor cosmetic issues) and they took care of it all fast! What really impressed me with these guys is that they actually explained why and what the issues are. When they are working on your car, they are literally in front of you so you can see everything they are doing. Reliable, honest, and reasonable pricing. Went in for an oil change, the mechanic told us our rear brakes and rotors needed to be replaced. Went to another mechanic to get a second diagnosis, and he said our brakes were completely fine. The car had less than 20k miles on it. Not sure why this place has such a high rating. read more

nice try but you ARE the repair shop at 651 4th Avenue that sells used cars as well and you are the SHOP that I brought my jetta in on 7/23 for an inspection, oil change and tire rotation. Also you ARE the shop that promised to E mail my bill after I made payment. And you ARE the shop that refused to give me my bill when I personally came in on Friday 7/27. I would suggest Mohammed that you either ignore my bad review or offer some standard apology which most business owners would do. BUT not a good idea to make believe it wasn't you. PS IF you like next time i can post your inspection sticker that is on my car and your sticker reminding me to change my oil at 5000 miles with your phone # on it. Ask your mechanic, I think he might remember driving me to the bank as well. read more

UPDATED: I provided an honest review from my perspective that I felt would be helpful to Yelp users, which obviously wasn't well received and for some reason it moved to personal insults. I'll number a few points in response. 1. Two garages/certified mechanics said my brakes are fine - yours didn't and failed my inspection taking money. 2. Air filtration is not on the state inspection list and therefore shouldn't have been checked in the inspection (Park Slope Auto pointed out that the filter was awful). This should have been checked only if I requested it or stated an issue, which I did not. 3. Masks are required by law for all businesses right now (staff and customers in NYC) in the age of COVID. Your response states that you take safety more seriously than other garages, yet you are the only garage (out of three) where not one but all of the staff were not wearing them. This is a virus that the health authorities are still learning about and it's uncertain how long antibodies last or if COVID can still be transferred to others during this period. This virus has killed nearly 600,000 people (worldwide) and confirmed cases continue to accelerate in the US. I have NOT reported you through the city 311 business compliance program but I'm begging that you follow the city/state regulations/laws and keep the community safe. Your staff enters other people's cars and at times are well within the socially distancing guidelines when working with them. Masks have been scientifically proven to slow the infection rate. 4. Yes, you did take me back to you garage and I tripped on a pile of tools that were on the floor. I do appreciate your concern in asking if I was okay. I'm not an auto mechanic and you pointing to something and telling me how bad it was didn't clarify much. The undersides of cars do have dirt and rust; I'm not claiming to know what is normal or safe - I'm only basing my review and decision on the majority of garages that had been to over a 16 day period. 5. With the number of miles on brake pads... I did say "aren't pads good for like 50k to 100k miles?" it may have been difficult to hear me as I was trying to socially distance and was wearing a mask. It turns out that it depends on the pads, and some last 25k, some last 50k, and others 70k - according to multiple expert auto sources on the web and other mechanics. The 100k was a stretch and I now know this; again, I'm not a mechanic and it's fine if you want to laugh at me for my question. I questioned the brakes being bad on what I thought was lower than usual miles; it was stated by Park Slope Auto Center that all four of my brakes (front and rear) and were horrible and a huge danger with only having 17,000 miles on a car. I truly wish you and your business success and good health, however I will not be returning - others obviously can do as they choose! read more
