They were flexible on when they could meet and show the place. It was a great price and a well kept building. I applied and they accepted me as a tenant. I moved in during a hot summer month. I had some minor issues about a month or two in and as a tenant, you can go into your app/portal and file a service request. This process was SO EFFICIENT!! I was able to choose multiple times I was available for issues to be handled and whenever I did have a problem, it was rectified in a timely manner. Sue was my point person throughout my experience renting from Modern Property Management. She always showed concern for my issues and addressed any problem I may have had. I finally met her in person on my walk-through when I moved out (heading back to NY) and it was such a pleasure! The businessman that are in charge Bryan and Marc Ezalow are people you DO NOT want to get in business with. IN MY OPINION, THEY DON'T KNOW HOW TO RUN A BUSINESS !CHECK THEIR REVIEWS !! You will suffer as a tenant and be disappointed as a business partner. Currently, I am residing at Breckenridge Village. And I am being forced to live in a condition due to an overflow from a neighboring unit. I'm being forced to breathe in garbage smelling air and live with what seems to be thousands of drain gnats. (3 months) I am forced to brush my teeth and even prepare sandwiches in my walk-in closet. I have not been able to properly prepare a meal in my kitchen and at least three weeks now due to not only the smell but the drain gnats. Who would feel comfortable cooking a meal in air that smells like garbage as* and gnats flying and landing on everything. Just disgusting. The video that you will see is from today, Sunday, August 9th. Too bad I can't capture the smell. please keep in mind that the pictures that I'm about to show are the pictures from the apartment that I thought was abandoned, but according to staff tenants are allowed to live in such conditions. SO BE AWARE.

To give a few bullet points... * Properties have never been updated, or even painted again (it doesn't look like) since it built in the 1970s-80s. * They do have security cameras, but they aren't great and at least one of the really good ones was either removed or vandalized and was never replaced. There was a recent break-in to the parking lot and they couldn't even get a clear picture of the thief. * Parking isn't good. There is zero visitor parking. * They constantly turn the water off because of various problems with plumbing system. * Tenants and other random people from the outside who walk around the property talking on their cel phones constantly, or using video calls at all hours of the day and night, to the point where you have to tell them to please stop it * Tenants who sit in their cars with their stereo booming after they drive back onto the property * In the past year or so, noise from freeway of obnoxious motorcyclists has increased, to the point where it sets off car alarms in parking lots because they make the cars vibrate. Not uncommon to awaken in small hours of the morning with somebody's car alarm *

Maybe if I leave a negative review, we'll actually hear back from someone who works here??? We weren't even told how to start paying rent! Is there a website for us to pay through??? (I hope to GOD you're not gonna make us pay via cashier's check every month...) We just dropped over $7,000 via a cashier's check to cover the first two months rent and we have heard NOTHING after all the paperwork was finalized... We have the keys and have started to move in, but have gotten absolutely no calls or emails from ANYONE since... We also tried to call maintenance a few weeks ago and haven't heard ANYTHING back... The fire alarm keeps beeping, and that's something maintenance should have handled before we moved in... We were also told that the junk in the garage would be cleared out by the time we move in... No it wasn't... (Hutch the broker told us this lie...) ALSO, the bajillion trash cans in the alley garage area are taking up so much space and trash is littered EVERYWHERE to the point where I can barely drive through to get to the garage!! And not to mention the damaged wood flooring in every room has multiple spots that CREAK. And the toilet seats are all too small and don't fit any of the toilets! We tried to replace one of them with a new one, but it looks like we might have to hire a plumber to see if he can properly remove the old one. ALSO, whenever the AC turns on, our downstairs sink gurgles consistently and VERY loudly... Apparently that could be a sign of poor plumbing?? Either way! Fraud Warning - Extremely Unprofessional and No Transparency…read more My experience with this property management company was extremely disappointing and concerning. Communication was consistently poor--multiple emails and phone calls went unanswered, and meaningful responses were rare. After move-out, funds were deducted from our security deposit without clear justification. We repeatedly requested itemized documentation and physical evidence to support the charges, which tenants are generally entitled to receive under standard tenant-landlord practices. Despite multiple requests, this information was never provided. We were charged for items and installations that were not present at the start of our tenancy, and the deductions appeared to exceed what would typically be considered normal wear and tear. Based on what we observed, the charges seemed more consistent with property improvements or upgrades rather than tenant-caused damage. We offered photographic evidence of the unit's condition, but it was disregarded. What was most troubling was the complete lack of transparency and good-faith communication throughout this process. I interacted with two individuals named Cindy and another named Hope, and despite repeated attempts, no one took responsibility for addressing these concerns or providing proper documentation. Given our experience, tenants should proceed with extreme caution. Security deposits are meant to be handled according to clear standards and accountability, and that was not our experience here. I am in the process of reporting this matter to the appropriate consumer and housing authorities for review. If you are considering renting through this company, document everything thoroughly and think carefully before trusting them with your deposit.

We were moving in with our friend who had to travel home for a funeral over the weekend. Our friend had to sign the lease, so the landlord could sign the lease, and then we could send the deposit & 1/2 month's rent for July. Instead of waiting for us in good faith WELL BEFORE OUR JULY 15th MOVE IN DATE, David and Benji (Benjamin on here) decided to stripe our agreement from us and give the lease to another party without warning or discussion. Looking for a house is stressful enough -- if you want disrespectful monsters representing you, then go ahead. Otherwise, RENTERS/LANDLORD & BUYERS/SELLERS beware. 1. No compassion for my friend who's father passed away and had to attend a funeral before signing the lease with my boyfriend and I. 2. Couldn't wait 3 days for money to transfer to my account so I could get a cashiers check that they were insisting on EVEN THOUGH the lease stated electronic transfer was acceptable and I was happy to do that. Breach of contract let alone non-ethical due to requesting money before the landlord signed the agreement. 3. Revoked our signed lease agreement without warning or discussion. I'm reporting them to the BBB, DRE and positing reviews in hopes they will be stopped from hurting people because we're not the only ones as there have been several reviews deleted.
