A last minute decision to get food turned into a great night. I had the pesto pasta (delicious but quite oily) and the salmon Caesar salad. I went with a group of friends, 7 of us in total. Unfortunately, we hit the perfect storm and it was FUBAR. Granted it was July 4th, and the place was packed, but read on. There was an hour wait for a table. They gave us a beeper. We couldn't grab a drink inside at the bar to escape the heat, so we found another restaurant where we snuck in a back door and ordered drinks at the bar. The beeper went off after an hour and we made the 5 minute walk back to the first restaurant. We ordered drinks and appetizers. It took about 1/2 hour to get our drinks. The appetizers came out about 10 minutes later. We decided to order a Margarita pizza with added pepperoni and mushrooms. It sounded simple enough. About an hour later, the Margarita pizza showed up without pepperoni or mushrooms. We asked the waiter to take the pizza back and have the kitchen add the missing ingredients. Silly us. We figured they throw the missing ingredients on the pizza, reheat it in the oven for 5 minutes and bring it back. A half hour later, we asked our waiter about our pizza. He seemed new and a bit overwhelmed. He went to check on it. We never heard back. 15 minutes later we asked again. Nothing. Finally, 2 hours after we ordered the pizza, the pizza arrives, accompanied by the manager. She is very apologetic. They had tossed the 1st pizza, but never remade it. She comped us the pizza and we each got a free dessert. The food was fine. It was your typical Southern Italian-American food, meatballs, pizza knots, and calamari. The pizza was good thin crust pizza. There was a ton of pepperoni. (Maybe that was to make up for the long wait?) and barely any mushrooms. I was fine with that. No one complained. So it's ordinary food at an affordable price. The choices are limited downtown. read more

Came in Saturday night 1/31/26 around 11pm after seeing a show at the DeVos. We sat at the bar and the bartender took great care of us! We ordered the pizza rolls that were on special and an order of meatballs. Both were SO good!! The little garlic toasts that came with the meatballs were a highlight for sure! The fresh basil was a nice touch as well! But this pizza rolls! Don't confuse them with Totino's, it's not the same! This was a pizza crust without sauce - but had cheese and pepperoni, rolled up like a pinwheel, then sliced and baked! When they come out of the oven they are brushed with garlic butter and served with warmed marina sauce, SO GOOD! It wasn't too busy and there was a fun, happy vibe. We were in town for a conference and a vendor invited us to a VIP event at this location. They have a spot in the back that is perfect for private events with a private bar atrium and food options. They had a decent variety of cocktails, and a nice assortment of foods for you to eat plus desserts. We were all very pleasantly surprised with the experience. read more

Good food, lots of room at The Atrium: Friend had a wedding at this place downtown. Aug 15, hotter then blazes and the humidity was horrific. No A/C on, it was terribly hot and how you could ruin a couples wedding night with no A/C is disgusting. Also seemed the the whole wedding plan to move chairs, setup tables to eat, and then slide tables away for people to dance took way to long. A huge lag in this wedding party. Go elsewhere. read more

We came to Uccello's for happy hour and were definitely happy with their offerings! The prices were great, both for the food and the drink specials. I got their pizza with bacon, and I think bacon might be my new favorite topping now. I don't think you can beat these prices. Highly recommend! read more

First visit, got a seat outside on their sidewalk tables. Ordered a 10 inch deluxe pizza and a side salad. Pizza was made perfectly, with a buttery, slightly crisp crust. Toppings were outstanding. Have a full bar and craft draft menu. Awesome pizza! read more

I was there at happy hour and I'll tell ya, I couldn't believe how inexpensive their happy hour is and it is delicious. Honestly, they should charge more for the portions you get. It's a step above the rest. I sat at the bar and very friendly service and gave great recommendations of places to go while in town. My husband and I had dinner here the other night. I had the bruschetta chicken. It was good, but not great. The chicken was a little dry. My husband's meal was a whole different story. He had chicken Marsala with pasta and meat sauce. First and foremost, the chicken was breaded. He said this really took away from the dish. He would not recommend ordering this. After spending a day flying I was HUNGRY. I chose the spaghetti and meatballs and I couldn't be happier with my choice. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the sauce meaty and rich and the meatballs were spectacular. A big beautiful tossed salad added for a total of $21.98 made a perfect meal. Complimentary ciabatta rolls with herb olive oil was the icing on the cake. Service by Mackenzie was friendly and efficient. Highly recommend. I left satisfied and happy. read more

Visiting from Memphis on work travel, my group met here for early dinner. Outside seating available, it appears to be still in progress, but it was a nice evening and we could hear the Latin music from the Rosa Parks park. I had the chicken Gouda flatbread which comes with ranch, it was very filling and I could only eat half. I had the "U" fries for a side which are their signature fries tossed in garlic butter and parmesan, yummy and the server was kind to our large group. Food came out quickly! My only complaints are the flies swarming badly and the unfinished nature of the patio, more coverings needed to block the sun. read more

Update: Uccello's downtown has won me back. I reluctantly came back with people from work. They've had a lot of turn-over since my last review and many of their new staff are great. Edgar and Bree are my favorites. The food here is regularly very good and they have a wide variety on their menu plus, they easily accommodate a variety of dietary needs. Uccello's is consistent and a good solid choice for Italian/bar food. At all of their locations, I have had really good food from and my first time at the downtown location was no different. I love that they have so much outdoor seating but they have a good inside seating selection as well. I went for the fettuccine with sausage cream sauce and it was super tasty. A huge portion and definitely worth the price. The sauce was awesome! My friend ordered a cheese pizza and she liked her meal as well. Con: The hostess that was seating people and taking phone numbers if you had to wait was low key rude and didn't even crack a smile once. My family and I passed this restaurant as we found out our flight was delayed 3 hours. Manny told us they were closing but could cook up some fries for us to take. As they got us a beer and fries, Manny then gave us his employee meal that he made for himself. Not only was the food good, that kind of service was incredible. The restaurant is more of a sports bar feel that serves your standard bar beverages and has decent food. Similar restaurant would be Buffalo Wild Wings but I find that I like the food options here much more unless I'm really craving wings. I ordered a wet burrito and to my surprise it was delicious. The red sauce they use was amazing. It has a creamy flavor and isn't too acidic which I usually find with most reed sauces. The highly acidic ones are usually store no bought canned sauce. The beer wasn't flat so that's a win at a sport bar. The inside was overly noisy but that is expected for a sports bar. The downside to this place was the service. Our order was taken and we really didn't see much of the server after that. For some that may be alright but with today's expectation of a tip I would like to see the server more than twice. I usually avoid this by going to the bar but it was full so we had to sit at a table. read more

Ordered Alfredo entrees for takeout, one was build your own seafood, the others were on the menu. The one did not come with any seafood, just plain, I specifically recall saying "seafood" twice during the call. The sauce on all was mostly clear oil sprinkled with Parmesan flecks, no cream texture. We have had Alfredo in tons of restaurants and this was nowhere near. Cost was $75, portions were small. Did not follow up as we had time constraints visiting the area and our family friends picked up the food. read more
