I connected my Delta sky miles app to my uber app coming home from a trip. I logged in at first it said the ride home would be $14 something. Then it kicked me out I logged back in it said it would be $28 something ok, I put in my cc information because my old information was expired. Went back to confirm it said it was going to be $38. Come on uber, right now you have me hostage because I have no other ride. I'm not sure how much of this $38+ the driver is getting but upping the price while I'm in the app should be illegal. I called you in good faith and this is how you do your customers? Be honest with your prices and don't switch it up in the process of getting the ride. read more

Uber drivers cars should be inspected inside & out before they are allowed to accept rides. I don't pay for the convenience of uber to be picked up in someone's dirty old car read more

Ok. First off, good job having 24/7 support with no management on duty to help with non-native English speaking people. Ha! Talk about a waste of my time trying to explain that the cat dealer already took care of my registration. I even sent the paperwork the dealership sent me with the information circled in blue and red. Still the people on the other end, do not understand! It's sad that I'm desperate looking for work and Uber is employing people who don't know what they're doing. Everyone in the USA knows that the dealership takes care of registration and insurance! So why is it so hard to understand??? Maybe it will be easier to employ people with English as a first language . So frustrating!!! read more

This is for UBER EATs. I usually don't leave negative reviews but I want to share my experience. I've been traveling outside the country for 3 months and now I am back in the states but Uber has still charged me Uber eats membership as if I was still in Europe. I wanted a refund so I can re purchase the membership in the states but they won't refund me. I've paid thousands on this platform and they won't honor the refund. Not to also mention Ubers fees are outrageous and many people are noticing it and are leaving the platform. Great job people , take back your power and Uber will be forced to change there business model! read more

We are commotted to treating others with dignity and respect in spite of the fact that too many morning Madison Uber drivers arrive in a bad mood when they pick you up. Don't bother rating, though, because you will get an email from Uber stating that your account may be suspended. So, just let the crabby driver be mean to you and beware that if you rate them, then you will get an email from Uber stating that your account is going to be suspended because YOU need help interacting with drivers. Wait, what?? We guess that the driver's rating of us, to whom they provide a service, is more important than your rating of them - even when a large proportion have bad attitudes! Glad the other service is not like this at all! read more

had the worst experience experience today with uber to the point I will never use them again. I requested uber to pick up my son for 1:30 p.m.,I placed the requested the pick up around 6:30 a.m. instead of someone calling me, I received an email at 1:14 p.m. that the pick up was canceled and charged $4.00 for the cancellation. I never received an email stating why it was canceled just a receipt stating it was canceled. The email was sent at 1:14 p.m. the pick up was scheduled for 1:30 p.m., no one could call me oh wait there is no phone number to call and try to get this resolved. Needless to say my son missed his flight but on the bright side, I did request a refund for the 4.00 and received it as a uber credit. After explaining to uber through the website I told them I will never use the company again the credit was sent to my PayPal account. Horrible !!! read more

UBER EATS::: I ordered $65 worth of BBQ from Famous Dave's in Madison, WI off Park St @ 4:30pm. I watched the delivery time go from 5:40pm to 6:15pm to about 6:40pm. I called the restaurant thinking it was them that needed the time to get the order ready. Come to find out my food had been waiting ready for an hour and apparently the driver had just walked in which at this time it had been about 1hr & 30mins. I then called Uber eats and spoke with a representative. I demanded my money be returned as well as the food to be delivered. Her response was, "No No sorry we can't do that." She told me that it was because there was no driver in the area. I then relayed that is not my fault when you guys see that an order has been placed from this restaurant and a delivery order has been placed. A driver should have been sent out instead of making the customer wait for food to be delivered. She continued to argue with me. At this point I asked to speak with a manager. She asked, "Why?" Then stated that the manager was just going to tell me the same thing, she was extremely rude and very impolite, unprofessional and unapologetic. I finally was transferred to a manger in which we had to explain ourselves again. The best he was willing to do was half off our food or a complete refund without delivery. At this point I cancelled my entire order got my full refund and in turn gave in and just got dressed and went to the restaurant and took my wife out for dinner. We just moved to the area and were also unfamiliar with the area, we were also unpacking, as well as starting new jobs. Trying to kill two birds with one stone was not gonna happen with having food delivered thru Uber Eats. We in the past have used Grubhub and DoorDash and when we had these similar problems they satisfied the customer with service and gave a full refund and still delivered your order. Or they remade the order and redelivered your food hot and fresh. I will never use Uber Eats again and they have a long way to go in learning what customer service is and how to treat there clientele. Just like Lyft is better to ride with Uber hires unprofessional people and they DO NOT CARE about there customers!!!! read more

Love the fact I can tap my phone or ask Sri for a ride. It's so convenient. I like there is no exchange of money, everything is taken care of on the uber app. You don't have to tip but I do especially for short trips. The drivers have always been polite and professional. They always pick me up in minutes and drop me off in a safe location. It's nice to see a picture of the driver and description of the car. I feel safer, they have my info and I have theirs. I will continue to use them, you can't beat the price. read more

First timer...was smiley all the way through $20.50 fare. Driver overshot my house, and I saw him go by. Went out to street. He drove around subdivision ignoring my texts to return back. He told me he was in front of my house, waiting for me, but was a third of a mile away by road. I finally called him, and convinced him I knew where my house was. When he got there, he blamed it on the GPS and would not acknowledge I was in 2 feet in front of a number sign on a street name given earlier. He uses moving map pictures to drive instead of streets and numbers. He went to a cull de sac along the back of our property. Welcome to the new world. He proceeds to tell me how antiquated taxis are, how they charge too much, and everybody he picks up hates them ( I do not ). He misses turn as he's talking. I ask him to pull a U turn and he does. He makes an uncomfortable joke about me giving him a bad rating, reminds me he rates passengers. Awkward. Worse than discussing a tip in advance. I give him $3 at end of trip anyways, because tipping is cool, and I want a good rating for first time. The app was slick, and this was my first time in Uber. Will try once more, but I'll stick with Union Cab. 242-2000. I like the idea of my money staying in Dane County. read more

Uber doesn't recognize the existence of the Madison Senior Center, at 330 W. Mifflin St., but it does recognize the "Metropolitan Coffee and Wine Shop" at 334 W. Mifflin, a business that hasn't existed for at least five years. My drivers keep going to the wrong pickup address and there is no way to tell Uber in advance that their data is outdated/incomplete - - - AND - - - no way to change the pickup address to the correct address because the correct address is nonexistent in Uber's data base. read more

Still don't understand house surge pricing is legal you don't eat at a restaurant in the busier the restaurant gets the more they charge you for your menu items after you already ordered my fare went up 75% that's great for the driver but I can take a cab and pay the same price every time if it's busy I have to wait a little longer I'm willing to do that then get charged way too much for a ride home read more

I took an Uber for 1.4 miles from Franklin St to 432 dayton St. Upon the Uber arriving, he arrived two blocks away from me and charged me $9 for the wait time it took for me to walk to him. Then, I got to the destination and looked at my mobile receipt. The receipt had said I went to McKenna Blvd, which is over a 10 mile drive compared to my 1.4 mile drive to Dayton. Then, after contacting Uber, they refused to refund any amount. I was not asking for a free ride, but instead to get the base price I was told which was $16. Uber now refuses to reimburse me. Very bogus and unprofessional, considering they stated the correct address in the return email, and I sent them my receipt stating the incorrect address. Still, they refuse. read more

I took a Uber car to a medical appt. at TAC on Jan. 28. The car was called by another family member and somehow the guy got my address wrong. When he finally showed up late, he blamed me and threatened twice to throw me out of his car. I told him I didn't know what happened and didn't blame him. He finally took me to my procedure, late. He was crazy and I will never take Uber again. So fuck you. read more

They continuously cancel rides by changing their arrival status. Especially at busy times you can be waiting forever and all the sudden the status will change to no available drivers. What!? What happened to the driver who was on their way to pick me up for the last 20 minutes? Now it's bar time or a badger game let out and you're waiting an hour for another ride service which was the exact situation you attempted to avoid. This is the how the majority of my experiences with Uber end. No thanks. read more

I used Uber 3 times while visiting the area (my husband had a conference and drove a county-issued vehicle, so I couldn't drive it around town while he was at the conference). I did not use the service during a Badger game or during bar time (I used it during the day on a Monday & Tuesday), but I was VERY happy with the service. It took no longer than 8 minutes to get a car. The drivers were pleasant with good conversation & I felt safe with their driving skills. The cars were very clean. A 22 minute drive across town (about 10 miles) was about $14. I appreciate having this service without having to utilize the metro bus. (Would have been $2-4, but would have taken an hour to get across town). read more

I have ridden with Uber like 10 times. it has always been a great experience. You have to understand that some places have multiple entrances and they go by the address. so make sure you know where to wait. you can always contact the driver via text or phone call if you need to. I mean, just like with taxi cabs you have to understand certain busy times are longer wait times. Common sense is the rule here. read more

I talked my friend into leaving his car at a beer festival recently in Madison after he was too impaired to drive. He called Uber, and we got a safe ride home that was about 17 miles away. Uber charged him $160, just for that one trip. That's not good, considering I've taken cabs home from that location myself at the same distance that was a third the cost. I'm sure there was some kind of high volume charge, and I'm sure there was some catch that he didn't see.... Whatever, I'm not going to use Uber. I've never paid that much using a cab. read more
