Bizarre hours of operation
J B.

Absolutely horrible experience from arriving to departure. Restaurants closed in a su day at 10 am. Outrageous pricing in shops. TSA is a joke with no pre check lines. Multiple stop Sig s just to get to rental car return. Over 7 to go 400 yards Never again

This airport far exceeded my expectation. Very quiet, well organized and clean. The layout was easy to navigate. Single terminal and all the gate areas are connected. Lot of options for food, kid and pet friendly zones, work friendly areas with free wifi that actually works and massage chairs. TSA check took less than a min but even the regular lines didn't have any wait (I travelled on a thursday). My only crib is that Priority Pass doesn't have a lounge here.

AirPort shopping is never in short supply :)

Love love this airport. No lines no people congestion no jumping out of a moving car to dodge street traffic and make it to your gate. Low stress. Albeit we arrived super early likely beating the mid week rush hour crowd. But the same cannot be said for other airports I've visited. It i seems however more expensive to fly from this location but perhaps that's the price we pay for sanity.

This is the nicest airport I have ever visited. There are meeting rooms, a family room and animal relief area. Several little shops with snacks and Wisconsin gifts and Badger/Packers apparel. You can indeed buy a cheese head hat as well. Several restaurants to choose from as well with some grab-and-go drinks and snacks. All of the seats had charging plugs in them. Everyone was very friendly. It would be a comfortable stop for a layover. My only complaint is that I could not find a Dr Pepper to buy in the terminal.

Easy in and out for both pick up and drop off. TSA pre-check for departure is only at the end (South side and inside door 1 and up the stairs. I got pulled aside for a random screening. Had really no idea what was going on but just checked my two phones and laptop for bomb residue. Dane County Regional had it on lock! Heard a local also refer to it as Truax Airport and had no idea what she was talking about at first or how credible that was so I googled it. It's actually Dane County Regional Airport-Truax Field and MSN is the airport code. It's a clean airport with some dates interiors but it was a nice experience and a nice airport. Super small airport. Not a ton of foot traffic which I loved. I flew in on a Wednesday around 4pm and flew out midday on a Friday. Because it wasn't a ton of people, I was through TSA Precheck (which is only on one side of the airport near T1) in about 4 minutes and half of that was because I was chatting with the worker. The signage to get to pre check sucked and I wished they had more overhead signs pointing in the correct direction. Despite it being pretty slow, there's still a handful of restaurants and shops open for you to explore. There's a lot of connecting flights here since it's a regional airport. It's a super clean airport. And the seats are actually quite comfortable as you wait. Many of them come with charging stations below or super close to them. So you won't have to go far to stay charged and connected. For those of you traveling with pets, ESA, or service animals, there is a spot with a fire hydrant and fake grass so they can relieve themselves. Drop off or pick up was relatively painless for taxis.

I've always had great experiences here. Even though it's a smaller airport, it has all the amenities and feel of a larger one

Ask the Community - Dane County Regional Airport

Is 2 week parking availability in the economy or surface lot an issue at Dane County airport ? I'll be traveling this July to August 12. Parking lots don't take reservations and I worry I will get there for my flight and the lots will be full.

In the four years I flew out of MSN, I never saw the economy/surface lot completely full. You can also check how full each lot is on the main website under "Check Parking" https://www.msnairport.com/

This time around we said before booking our travel that we would fly from MSN to avoid driving all the way to ORD.

I am writing this review about United Airlines First Class Domestic Service. The first thing I…read morewanna say is that for those of us who fly a lot, the First Class Domestic Service is nowhere near the level it is on the international scale. This is just something to keep in mind and that's not a criticism on any level. Just a fact. United Airlines First Class Domestic Service is pretty good. It's a far cry better than their common Economy Class service. The seats are fairly large and the service is pretty good. Obviously, you get all of your food and drinks for free, unlike the other sections of the aircraft. So that, in and of itself, is a great boon. In terms of the seats they are large but they don't recline very far. I suppose that's due to the fact that they want to keep the First Class Cabin comfortable for all those who are seated in it. They do recline somewhat, just not very far. So, if you're planning to lay back and get a good sleep, you may be a little bit disappointed. But, they do serve their purpose. In terms of the food, it's pretty good. Not excellent -- not like the international service. But, it's okay. And, of course, they have all of the expected drinks. I will say, and the thing that brings down the overall experience of the flight I took between LAX and ORD, is that the two stewardesses that were taking care of the cabin did not stop talking to each other -- literally for more than a minute. They were going on and on and on and on about everything -- all non-flight, non-customer related. It was really maddening. I was sitting in the first row and I had to listen to all of it. They spoke about God, talked about how dogs go to heaven because that's the way God wants it, they talked about how one of them, "Is sick of only making sixty-seven dollars an hour." She wants to make more than that! Now, I understand there are a lot of people who make a lot more money than sixty-seven dollar an hour out there. But, there are also the majority of Americans who would probably love to make that much money. And, to talk about that subject in front of passengers, I find that to be very offensive. But, what are you gonna do? I'm just telling the story of my experience. Overall, it was actually almost amusing that they could barely break away from their conversation to take any of the meals or the drinks to their passengers. I would watch them literally try to tear themselves away, just to get the items to the passengers. Overall, I would highly recommend United First Class over any of their other cabins. It does make your flight a lot more comfortable, and your benefits, a lot more enjoyable.

The cabin crew was very friendly and professional. Planes were exceptionally clean…read more Unfortunately unless one is in first class, seating is rather cramped.
