Horrible customer service and charge fees without notice. They definitely don't care about the customer. I will be using lyft for now on

I am a 66 yr old woman with cataracts. On 6/29 a Uber driver claimed to have picked me up from my home and taken me to a doctor's appt. He did not. They refunded, but because it was a long 4th of July weekend I could not get seen by my dr for a week who had pertinent info. I had a bad fall and there is no refund for an extra week of pain. Yesterday an uber driver, with no GPS, who attended union mtgs monthly in the same area, planned on having lunch at costco, after dropping me off, said he had no idea how to get me home; he didn't know the area. Told him to take Haven and turn left on 19th. He over shot 19th. I am unable to read street signs due to the cataracts. He claimed inattention due to talking so much. Also said the same thing happened recently to another women passenger of his. There was no seat belt visable. I have used Uber three times . Different charge each time. Yesterdays chatty, scenic ride was $4 higher. I used to rave about Uber to my neighbors at the senior complex where I live. No more. Think they may consider seniors easy victims. WE ARE NOT! read more

I needed a ride to work and Waited 25 min for a ride to pop up on the app and I never got one.

Receipt got updated twice! First for the Ontario airport surcharge then an additional charge of $12 for what Uber claimed was Terminal 2 rather than Terminal 4. Ontario Airport is small & has only 2 terminals, 2 and 4, next to each other. When I put in destination as Ontario Airport, I need to get to my terminal. Is there additional charge depending on what terminal you get dropped off now? This feels like a bait and switch practice. Uber offered the service for a lower price, then upped the price after service rendered--not once but twice. I am thankful other business models do not operate like that. The price a consumer sees at the start should be the price a consumer pays. The driver did not know which terminal to drop off and he ended up circling twice. read more

Horrible experience. Driver called to confirm the pick up point and route. The driver was 6min away and it has now been 20min and the driver decided to never show up. Tried again and the same driver accepted and never showed up. I was also charged double the fair my last ride. Absolute horrible service. Switching to lyft. read more

I have finally reached the point of ending my patronage of Uber. There have been too many glitches that have left me stranded, or pressed for time to get to airports etc. The straw that has broken this camel's back is that Customer Service is so inadequate both technically - e g. 6 different representatives respond differently to same report or complaint-and in terms of their policy for compensating passengers who have experienced issues with their requests. I have had one problem with a Lyft ride and was compensated immediately with a free ride. read more

Very disappointed with Ubber. My husband has been trying to get on with them to become a driver. Went through all of their requirements. Passed the car inspection and last was a background check which they said he failed . He asked them why and they gave very generic info. He contacted the company that did the check and they told him there was nothing negative and no reason he should not pass. Ubber has never given us a valid reason at any time we have asked. Only thing he can thing of is possibly his age, which really should have no bearing. I will never use their service or recommend them to anyone. read more

I used Uber for the first time to get from Redlands to ONT. I had an excellent experience. Mike was my driver, he arrived as stated, his car was clean, and he offered me water. He was a safe driver and I felt safe and comfortable during the entire journey. It was less expensive than a Super Shuttle and I didn't have to leave the house 4 hours before my flight! read more

Uber's customer service is terrible. They do not have a customer service telephone number. All inquiry's must be made via the app or email. Sometimes you need to speak to a real person and you're out of luck with Uber. read more

My truck broke down and I got towed to the repair shop in Upland CA. After waiting close to 50 minutes for Uber and watching all their little cars drive by my location on the app, we started walking home. Uber never showed up, this is the worst company I ever tried to use. And there is no way to follow-up with them. We installed the Lyft app and within 3 minutes, we had a ride. Lyft will be my ride company. Uber, you suck! read more

I've had far better experience with Lyft. In the Inland Empire and surrounding area. https://www.lyft.com/

Rode with Uber had a great experiance with Roj. Got to where I was going for a third of a cab ride.

I've been using Uber recently to get from Rialto to San Bernardino to meet my Marine Corps recruiter on Mt Vernon. I give four stars because the drivers are always cool people. One driver even had a crate of water bottles for his passengers. I'd like to think that I'm not an entitled douche, so I don't tell the drivers when I'm in a hurry; but there's no need to. The drivers I've been with got me to where I was going fast and safely. The only problem I can pick out is the prices. Going to the recruiter station and back costs me about twenty-three dollars in total for the ten mile round trip. read more

The best uber drivers are the independent contractors. I'm disabled vet that just started my own uber business driving in San Bernardino area and Riverside area. I offer charging for my customers and my vehicles always clean. People don't take there work serious enough. There are plenty of amazing uber drivers but of course we need more drivers. read more

Uber is known to charge you for trips and items you never purchased. They are out to rip you off. They charged me $100 for Uber credits I never purchased or used. they are a total SCAM. Use Lyft as they do not charge until the ride is completed. Uber is a very unethical company out to rip people off. Their customer service will not back down either. They are rude and nasty in their texts. This company is an example of poor customer service. read more

Service sucks,no reservations and when I needed a ride to Orange County at 5am there was no service...

I used uber for the first time yesterday going from Ontario airport to Beaumont. My driver (Mo) was a lovely gentleman driving a very clean Prius was there in 4 minutes after the request. He safely drove me to Beaumont using the quickest route. It cost less than $50 which was less than a car rental and I didn't have to stress the driving. It was an awesome experience and I will be doing it again! read more

I love Uber. It doesn't matter what time of day I call, there is an Uber Car when and where I request it. I've called for pick-ups at 4:00 am, and worried all night that he/she would not be there, only to have my driver arrive on time. Great drivers and I feel quite safe. read more

I tried to sign up but could not get to where you get the app. Maybe I'm dumb. It said now get the app and there was nowhere to click to get the app. This was on the computer. So I went to the iPhone and could not there either. Horrible, non-existent customer service. Somebody hijacked my account, changed the email address and the password. Uber refuses to communicate with me unless it's through the new email address... Of course the fraudster Who hijacked my account was not kind enough to give me the new email and password... Duh. Uber what are people supposed to do? If I can't get into my account, I can't cancel the payment method. So I'm going to have to cancel my credit card, report it stolen, all because Uber refuses to have a human contact me. I'm stuck in the bot generated response hell. So far I have found no way to speak to an actual person. read more

Amazing taxi service provided by just regular people. Learned about it in San Francisco. Just getting started in the Temecula area. Don't drink and drive. Be safe. read more

This service as a driver in the Inland Empire is complete nonsense. You get absolutely no calls now with over-saturation of drivers. They pay you less per mile and per minute than they did one year ago and with more drivers, your earnings are HORRIFIC. I start in Rancho Cucamonga and will be somewhat lucky if I average even 10 dollars an hour. Then you have to pay for your own gas, car payment, phone. This is completely NOT worth your time and suggest you get a minimum wage job over this. Very few times throughout any given week would it be worth it. read more

Uber provided transportation for my grandson & friends from Pechanga to our home 7 miles away. Our house is at the top of a hill with a long driveway. On the way out the Uber driver drove over one of the driveway lights at the curve near the top of the hill. Uber asked for a photo and then denied the claim saying the driver didn't do it. Amazing since his was the only vehicle traveling the driveway from dark until 5am when I left for work. Either the driver needed help driving or he is a liar....Darlene Gilbert, Temecula CA read more

Uber DOSE NOT SUPPORT Uber drivers. Uber DOES NOT FOLLOW THEIR POLICIES. DO NOT SIGN UP Uber. Take it from a driver for 1 1/2 years had many good riders but some disrespectful riders. 2 incidents did it for me. First was riders was drunk and when I arrive nine people tried to pack in my car made for 4 maybe 5. I asked them to call another Uber they call Uber and complaint. She had four of the riders their call all at the same time and say I was rude and would give them a ride. When I contacted Uber they threaten to take my driving privilage away. Mind you I am a 5 stars driver too. They said the reason was their stories all matched and they had 4 witness who all said the same thing. They all Lied my rating went to 4.9 stars. Riders was not changed. Some support. Second incident I should have learned from my first that Uber treats their Drivers like _ _ _ _. Rider getts sick in my car I send pictures to Uber of rider wiping the puke out of my car and some pictures of puke spots. I am not a professional photographer. I sent them right after it happened they send me several messages saying we need more pictures. I sent them. After 5 back and forth Uber BS Uber asked for a picture with puke. I sent them several with puke particles and riders cleaning it up. they say we want a picture of puke. Uber just did not care. They said since we have no real evidence even after I ask then to talk to the rider witch they did not. They said if you continue we can suspend you driving privileges after I followed their policy on making a claim and supporting it with pictures. DO NOT DRIVE FOR Uber They do not deserve 1 star. Do not Trust Uber with their rating or driver protection policies. IF you drive or thinking about driving with Uber YOU WERE WARNED. read more
