We "gutted" our kitchen, breakfast area and laundry room and hired UB Kitchens to design all new cabinetry for us (along with custom built-ins by our fireplace). Marcello, the designer, was such a joy to work with - customer service obviously his number one priority. He listened to my ideas and desires, thoroughly answered all of my questions and then went to work designing a kitchen that went way beyond my expectations. He was attentive, thoughtful and helpful throughout the entire process and I knew he was going to do everything in his power to make sure we were 100% satisfied. Marcello was always available when I needed him and always delivered on time (or early) what he had promised. The UB Kitchens installation crew was the most professional group I've ever worked with and their attention to detail blew me away. I think I'm picky but they're even pickier!! They worked tirelessly for six very long days doing the initial install. Then they made special trips from Austin to San Antonio to help me with the finish-out items and fixing things that were not their fault (i.e. electricians broke the soft-close on my drawer and UB came back out to fix it). Curtis Kishur / UB Kitchens has made the cabinet portion of our current home renovation the easiest, most pleasant part of this project. From the time he first came to our house to help with the cabinets for our guest bath two years ago, Curtis has been patient and helpful. For this current project, he helped us figure out how to maximize cabinet space in the new space we would have in the kitchen after we removed a portion of one wall. He suggested the design of the bank of cabinets we added to a wall that formerly had no cabinets. He made multiple trips to our house (which is in NW San Antonio, not anywhere near the UB Kitchens SA location) to check the measurements and to reassure my husband and me after the contractor measured differently. He worked with our contractor to make sure our cabinets were installed in a timely manner. He answers my emails quickly, and always has a solution for any problem I present him. I can't even begin to describe the relief I have working with Curtis. UB Kitchens was recommended to us by a family member and also a local contractor. We were greeted immediately by Curtis Kishur, who by the way has been in contact with us the entire build time which is extremely important when tackling a remodel. Anyways, we came to Curtis and UB kitchens with just ideas, nothing set in stone, within a day he had an entire custom kitchen layout specifically highlighting our wants and needs. Curtis was patient enough to actually listen and not interject his own ideas unless we asked, which we actually used some of his designs in our now custom kitchen. When it came time to install, Curtis took the time to conduct a meeting with my contractor and myself on site at my home to make sure all was well and spot on by doing an on site inspection/final measure. Being prior military I can appreciate someone has the "attention to detail" attitude and who is diligent in what they do. We could not be happier with our kitchen and Curtis' expertise and professionalism. Patrick designed our cabinets for a new house we built at Canyon Lake. He is the best!! He had great ideas for the cabinet designs (kitchen, gameroom, laundry room, and bathrooms). When he came out to measure for the cabinets, our contractor was very impressed with his knowledge of all phases of the building process. He made lots of good suggestions for us to use in other areas of our house. When I asked him about a company I had read about in a magazine that did wood countertops, he set up a meeting with the company (DeVos Woodworking) to do our island countertops. He was always prompt about returning calls or emails and was very patient with us as we made the multiple decisions needed when building. Here is why I chose UB Kitchens. Noe and UB Kitchens offered extended warranties on their cabinetry and the installers were not subcontracted, which to me makes a big difference. I have done multiple remodels in the past, and I want to know that I can call someone if I have problems down the road. They were incredibly knowledgeable and professional - 2 things you most certainly don't see a whole lot of in the construction industry (in my experience).
