Five stars for Jim (the person)!…read more Great work, arrived on time, very very friendly, and was here to do the right thing - get our water softener back to working. Jim had all the right equipment, knew his Rainsoft systems very well. His first step was to verify the water was not softened. (It wasn't.) He pulled out his test kit - verified we had a 32-grain water hardness. Previous testing indicated 35 grains of "hardness". (Here in the Texas Hill Country - we have wells and aquifer-fed water. Lots of dissolved solids - and it kills our appliances over time....) Jim verified - yes - hard water. Then he set about fixing our old (but lifetime-guaranteed!) Rainsoft water softener. He had all the parts and disassembled/re-assembled the controlling mechanism quickly. Not a trivial fix at all - but he did it really fast - with a full explanation along the way. Jim is super-enthusiastic, loves his job, loves his company, and loves the Rainsoft product. His humor and light touch are infectious. (Heck - I have him a totally-cool "Man Hug" before he headed out.) Now the bad news - Rainsoft would love it if we would upgrade our water softener mechanism to the latest/swooshiest model. WE WOULD LOVE TO UPGRADE TOO! But their standard pricing is extremely high - so it's a question of how much extra do we want to spend for soft water? And the current unit has that lifetime guarantee - so it's still easier/cheaper to keep it crutching along. Over the past 18 years, we have sent many neighbors and friends to Rainsoft (in Bulverde, Boerne, and from work/school). But with "upgrade pricing" as high as it is - I'm not sure we can recommend them long-term. JDMc

Sweetwater installed the system 5 years ago and it has never properly worked for any kind of longevity. Sweetwater will then charge you $300+ plus to come out and "fix it" then proceed to blame the customer for not having their technician over more often. I'm not spending my hard earned money on having to call a technician out every 3 months to fix the water softener. At some point we hoped Sweetwater would take accountability for their worthless system but unfortunately we were told the system is working "just fine". If you choose Sweetwater these are the results you will get.

I love the fact that throughout the store they have examples on display of actual tiled "environments" such as bathrooms, kitchens, mudrooms etc. I'm a very visual person so this really helps to see how things can be put together. I thought their selection was really good and the staff was very helpful with questions we had but they didn't hover over us since they knew we were just browsing and trying to get some initial ideas. Though they were close enough to answer questions when we had them. Prices seemed in line with other places we had checked out. Looking forward to exploring more through this process. Loved the fact they were open on a Saturday!

I would not recommend The Tile Shop to anyone. The quality of the installation is unacceptable…read more When walking on the floor, the tiles are uneven and lack smoothness--you can clearly feel raised edges underfoot. Additionally, several tiles are already chipped, despite being newly installed. When I requested that someone come out to evaluate the work, I was told that as long as it meets basic code requirements, nothing can be done. That response is extremely disappointing. This is not just about meeting minimum code--it's about delivering quality workmanship. Anyone can take off their shoes, walk across the floor, and immediately feel that something is wrong. It feels like once payment was received, customer satisfaction was no longer a priority. Overall, this has been a very frustrating experience.

However, after several discussions and e-mails with different Legacy personnel (including the Owner), I was convinced choosing Legacy was the right thing to do! And was I NOT disappointed...every aspect of dealing with the Legacy Team Members (Mark and his assistant Daniel) doing our bathroom renovation was a pleasure. Not only did Mark and Daniel's workmanship exceed our expectations, they were respectful of my home and family and the knowledge of their craft was top notch! They were honest, forthright, and a pleasure to deal with! The excellence in workmanship and quality of the Legacy personnel has been absolutely FIRST RATE! We had a problem with one of the Cabinets that was installed at the very end of the project (not done by our primary crew). Legacy immediately agreed the workmanship did not meet their expected standards and they are in the process of correcting the problem. I would definitely recommend Legacy to anyone planning a major bath or kitchen reno. Our Bath renovation involved several complex tasks which I would not trust to a General Contractor. They executed each task flawlessly. 1) Legacy needed to add a new 3" drain for the Jacuzzi tub which required cutting several feet out of the foundation which included tension cables. 2) the flooring tile involved laying them down at a 45 degree angle, with varying patterns. 3) the floor of the shower was a very complex mosaic pattern which had to be laid piece by piece and was done to perfection. It took the guys almost 1 hour/sq ft to lay. We will definitely use Legacy on our next renovation!

I ordered a couple of items and chose in-store pickup and drove all the way over to the Quarry…read morestore (the store that showed they had the item in stock for pickup) only to find signs out side saying they had closed that location and referring you to this newer location. Upon pulling up, you get the idea that this isn't going to be your typical Bed Bath & Beyond. Even the outside shows signs of rejuvenation and a certain level of upscale that you wouldn't normally associate with Bed Bath & Beyond (think Container Store). When you go in, the store is stunning. I know that may seem dramatic to call a retail store stunning, but its a leap away from what you'd normally expect when you walk into a BB&B. To begin with, there's not stuff literally stacked from floor to ceiling. The one thing that's always irritated me about BB&B is how they just have stuff everywhere. There will be products wrapped around the supporting pillars from ceiling to store and while I get utilizing every bit of available space, when you add that with the type of lighting typically found in a BB&B it makes the store feel dark and dingy. This new location is polar opposite, brighter lighting. Upscale wood and metal shelving. Very clean, organized and yet you still have a lot of the up-top inventory areas just more tastefully hidden. The new CEO pretty much cleaned house and this is one of the first stores opened where you can see BB&B's vision for store remodels that are in the works. The BB&B app has been updated as well to allow for contactless curbside pickup. So after you place your order online, you arrive at the store, launch the app and there's a button to let them know you're there and they have plenty of designated spaces at the front of the store for curbside. All-in-all the experience was pretty seamless. It took me more time to find the emails with the barcodes for my orders than it did the associate to go find them and afterwards when I was looking around I appreciated that they don't shopper stalk you. Someone may ask if you need something if you look lost or ask but my look of lostness was from the store design I was genuinely in awe and had to keep reminding myself this was a BB&B I was in. My only suggestion for improvement would be with the Beyond+ membership I wish they would match Amazon and a lot of other retailers with expedited shipping but even with a paid membership it really just guarantees you a 20% off coupon in case you can't find one. But orders still ship via snail mail so it's actually just better to do store pickup at that point.
