Honestly do not understand the hype as the tea was pretty flavorless to me and the bubbles were too tiny to enjoy. Would not recommend getting any of the typical milk teas here. Also just overpriced, but if you are looking to splurge, the yalkurt drinks are refreshing and yummy (just not my style). I got the mango yakult tea with boba, and it was absolutely delicious! The yakult blended wonderfully with the mango, creating a sweet (but not overly so) mango drink that carried the faintest hint of milk. The cups are adorable and sturdy, and the atmosphere is relaxing. Service is fast and efficient, conducted via a number system. Everytime I'm in town, I would grab some utea as it is the only good bubble tea place in the area. However, it seems utea have lost its quality. I typically order cheese pitaya and it tasted significantly different this time, more watered down. The big mistake was trying out the dirty milk too. It doesn't look anything like the pictures that others have posted. I basically paid $5 for an actual milk (taste like the red cap kind found in store) with boba. This is a pretty nice place. The seating and the board games bring a sense of community to Collegetown that it's been missing for God knows how long. The cheese mei mei is amazing. The prices are pretty high, but I actually don't mind. Friends and I can spend hours in here playing Uno, Chinese Checkers, Flying Chess, you name it. It's what Collegetown needed. The decor is very modern (it IS a pretty new place). It gets quite crowded at times, but it's still a very homey place to be. Where do I start...the woman at the counter was about was cheerful and welcoming as a terminal illness. She offered no guidance on drinks, how to order, general appreciation for being alive, etc...Why? No clue; but that is not good customer service. The partition separating the front counter from the back area was incredibly dirty. Like the front of a butcher's apron dirty. Is that the kind of image we want in the age of Covid??? Since i had tried a competitor, i wanted to try Utea. The Osmanthus Oolong Cheese Foam was recommended to me. The cheese foam is light and has just the right amount of sweetness. The tea, however, is without a lot of flavor. Oolong tea has a unique flavor that typically stands out in a drink. Unfortunately, it does not stand out in this drink. The drink is worthwhile, but it just doesn't taste oolongy. read more

In my opinion, U Tea offers the best PMT in Collegetown. I've only tried one drink tho--the milk foam with oolong tea base. It tasted great, comparable to other similar drinks I've gotten when I was in the Bay Area/Beijing/Taipei, so it's pretty authentic. However, It's honestly very pricey. read more
