Original tenders (lemon cheese and honey mustard sauces)
    Michelle L.

Overall a solid spot for a chicken sandwich in Ithaca. I am in love with their cute packaging! I split the original tenders and spicy chicken sandwich with a friend. I preferred the sandwich. Though the chicken was strangely stringy... I thought I was getting chunks of cartilage or something, but it turned out that the chicken just had an off-putting texture. I could not chew parts of it which made it difficult to eat. I enjoyed the actual seasoning of the chicken though! The tenders were good, but again the chicken had bands of impossible to chew bits. Nice and crisp though. I liked the sauces. Honey mustard is what you would expect, and the lemon cheese sauce was surprisingly sweet but paired well with the chicken. They give you gloves which come in cute little packets so you don't get your hands dirty which was nice. Maybe we just got a bad batch of chicken... I will likely return a 2nd time and will see.

I visited Ninja Chicken & Friends after seeing rave reviews and decided to grab some quick shareables for a picnic, opting for their takoyaki and popcorn chicken. They seemed to have a bubble tea promotion too (if you get an entree, then you could get boba for a measly dollar). The wait was longer than expected. Here's a quick review: * Popcorn Chicken ($6.50) Pretty good, though my friend said it used to be better. Loved the variety of flavors and toppings. A solid 3.5/5. * Takoyaki ($7.95) Not the most authentic - seaweed instead of bonito flakes - but decent if you're not a purist. A 2/5 for me. I've heard good things about their drinks, especially since they use real fruit, so I'll definitely try that next time. For now, I'll give this spot a 3.5 out of 5.

How cute is this!!!?? French fries and chicken sandwich with a milk tea!

I ordered through uber eats and was so impressed with the packaging, the milk tea (had boba) and the yummy quality and size of the meal. The chicken had a nice spice and although it wasn't crunchy, it packed some nice flavor and was nice cuts of chicken. The fries were huge and I loved the fact they even sent a little packet of gloves. The highlight for sure was the tea. Rich but not too filling. Smooth and an equal flavor of tea and milk with tons of boba! The cup it came in made it so much fun too!

This time (Jul 2026) was like our visit a couple of years ago. The menu was rather short, and we didnt see many middle-of-the-road or ordinary comfort-food offerings. Their local sourdough bread appetizer was fresh and nicely flavored, and we chose the fresh olive oil side just because it's so luscious. We could have had chive-butter. The marinated olives were flavorful and a little spicy. Their NY-cheese board had a tasty selection of soft and hard cheeses. The salads had choices of a chutney-paneer based mix, which was refreshingly creative. And we liked the Farmstand berry-cherry goat-cheese almond salad. These were all appealing. Chickpea salad or stew, tofu or salmon over steamed veggies, or smoked-trout open-face tartine sandwich, each sounded good, but we didnt bite. None of the mains called to us. I guess we just felt that none of those menu items screamed out we-gotta-come-to-this-restaurant. The food tasted like just homemade and fresh, but not exceptional. The food was ok, no complaints, but not a big thrill.

I ordered the tofu green curry and the man ordered the Moosewood burger. Neither dish was hot upon arrival at the table - more like lukewarm. The man says the burger wasn't particularly flavorful, although the roasted potatoes it came with were very good. The curry was flavorful and spicy, although the curry sauce was on the thin side. We didn't order appetizers (other than the olives) or dessert, so I can't comment on either. The service was friendly and efficient. When I mentioned that the food hadn't been served hot, the server removed two of our drinks from the bill as compensation, which was appreciated. I would give it another try before leaving Ithaca, but my expectations will be tempered on a second trip.

Nice indoor seating to just hang out and get your day started. Not my favorite of the three locations in Ithaca honestly. The internals workings of the space seem odd and confusing. Collegetown bagels is the most popular bagel spot in Ithaca, but I don't find nostalgia in the bagels, primarily due to the tougher texture. However, I do really enjoy their spicy Italian bagel and rosemary salt bagel (although a bit too salty to my liking), and especially their cream cheeses. My favorite has to be their parsley-garlic cream cheese which is loaded with garlic and the freshness of parsley. Other honorable mentions include veggie and bacon-scallion cream cheese. I've had a few of their sandwiches as well. Their Havana Breeze doesn't include much ham or pickles, and the bread was quite greasy on inside and outside which made the sandwich overall very heavy. Their Tour de France has roasted turkey, Brie, apples, honeycup mustard, bacon on multigrain bread (I substituted for focaccia. The bread was soft, but I would've liked it more if it had more seasoning (like some Italian/herb seasoning). The sandwich is cold, but I think having it warmed up/toasted would meld the flavors together better. There was a generous amount of bacon and Brie, but the overall sandwich just didn't seem homogenous. Perhaps a sauce or jam (like a bacon-apple jam) would've helped to bind the flavors more. Lastly, their earl grey hot cocoa consisted of an earl grey tea bag in watered down hot coca which was a bit disappointing. Overall, not the best bagels I've ever had, but their cream cheeses are delightful. I'll still go back to try their baked goods and other sandwiches.

My go-to smoothie orders are either Angel Food (classic) or the Peanut Power Plus. Can't go wrong with either one though I am hyped to try out some other flavors too as I go in more. Never have tried the food out here but I have heard some good things about their loaded toast so I think that would be great to give a try. The smoothies at this location are also super high quality. They have an excellent amount of iceiness, which you would think would be at every location but it's not. So it's great to see that this one does it right. Overall I am huge fan of this location and I have already been here like a dozen times since it opened around 2 months ago. Highly recommend.
