Stopped by on work trip. The AK47 roll was delicious. I recommend it! It's a friendly Korean owned restaurant with great staff, clean space, good food. 5/5 A+ Recommend their hibachi options or cooked Sushi rolls! The Thai Ice Cream is delicious

Excellent cuisine. Very good prices. Spartan, but nice and clean dining. Friendly, efficient, quick service. I'll definitely be going back.

Post-Hawaii update: I still think Pokelava's poke bowl slaps. The fish isn't quite as fresh as what…read moreyou'll find on the islands (because, well, geography), but it still satisfies the craving. And honestly? I love the toppings. Pokelava leans into the chaotic joy of "build-your-own," and sometimes I want that maximalist experience -- crispy onions, spicy mayo, seaweed salad, and every crunchy thing they'll let me pile on. It's like a flavor party where everyone's invited. But Hawaii poke taught me something: restraint. Simplicity. Respect for the fish. There, the bowls are quieter -- no sauce tsunami, no mountain of mix-ins -- just fresh ahi, a dash of shoyu, maybe a sprinkle of green onion. The kind of bowl that looks you in the eyes and says, "I don't need a crunchy topping to be beautiful." Still, Pokelava isn't trying to be Hawaii. It's playing its own game -- fast, convenient, and comfortingly consistent. After tasting the gold standard, I've come to appreciate Pokelava not for what it lacks, but for what it unapologetically is: a solid, build-your-own poke spot that lets you be a little unhinged with your toppings and still get a good meal out of it. Would I fly across the Pacific for it? No. Will I still walk across the street for it? Absolutely. And if they keep giving me quarters for laundry? Lifelong loyalty, sealed.

I got a build your own bowl with zoodles and rice as my base. There are lots of protein options, all cut too small imo, but they were fairly generous with portions. I had the seared tuna and salmon. For mix ins I added cucumber, edamame, mango cabbage, and onion. I liked how they mixed everything together instead of just piling it on top. They also mix in the sauce which is great. I had the sesame ginger. For toppings you can choose three, and I opted for seaweed salad, kani salad, and corn. I also got nori strips and wasabi/ginger. Kani salad wasn't the best but other than that everything was fresh and tasty. Idk if I'd rush back but it was good! I would get it again. Bowl with two proteins was $13.50 before tax.

The pork bao in particular had this beautiful char that added just the right smoky depth without overpowering the sweetness. Absolute standout. The ramen was exceptional. Rich, balanced, and clearly made with care. My tonkatsu was beautifully caramelized -- that golden crust giving way to tender, juicy pork -- while my girlfriend's chicken katsu was crispy, perfectly cooked, and somehow still light. No sogginess, no shortcuts -- just done right. The atmosphere strikes that sweet spot between cozy and modern, and the service was genuinely warm and attentive without hovering. One of my favorite touches? The large visual menu on the wall. For anyone who isn't super familiar with this style of cuisine, it makes ordering approachable and stress-free. Such a smart move. Yori House nails flavor, texture, presentation, and hospitality. Can't recommend it strongly enough -- we'll absolutely be back.

The menu is very interesting with everything Korean, Japanese and Thai inspired from fried rice to tacos to noodle dishes. Service was very good and though the restaurant is small, it is well appointed. We ordered edamame and a pork bun for appetizers. The edamame were served lightly salted and warm and the pork bun wonderful and flavorful. I highly recommend. For a main dish, I ordered the pad Thai with shrimp. The only complaint I have is that the dish was pretty salty. The shrimp were delicious and the portions for everything were generous. We ordered spicy fried rice to take home and I'm so glad we did. Sorry but no photo of the pork bun as we dove into it as soon as we got it.

I always get the salad base and my mom usually goes with the noodles -- and let me tell you, they never miss. This time, I think our bowls got mixed up a little, and mine ended up with some ah tuna. I've always been hesitant to try it since I usually stick to cooked seafood, but it was actually so good! Flavorful, fresh, and the texture was way better than I expected -- honestly, similar to shrimp. If you like shrimp, you'd probably enjoy this too. For toppings, I went with shrimp, mango, crab meat, corn, chili flakes, and a few other things (I even snapped a pic of my order card because I can never remember everything!). The poke bowls are always fresh, flavorful, and customizable, and I love that you can watch them chop everything right in front of you. This visit I also tried the crab rangoons -- they were a little too crunchy for me, and my little one even said the same (and she usually loves rangoons). My mom tried the chicken wings, which were good, but I'll personally be sticking to the poke bowls because they are the star here. The restaurant is always clean, the staff is super friendly, and the quality is consistently top-notch. If you're looking for poke in Syracuse, this is the place. Five stars for the poke bowls, no question! They do sell all type of bubble drinks as well.
