Our experience with us granite was good to start , very easy to work. Some hiccups with install which meant a few trips back to get the corners the right ways etc . My MAJOR issue is that my beautiful new bathrooms have a yellow silicon caulk all throughout it . I noticed it immediately and was told it was because the floors in our hallway were redone .. they installed when there was no flooring so it was clear they were being redone but we were not warned this would be an issue. Regardless they came out redid it which I appreciated . However weeks later it was back to yellow after using the cleaning products they suggested . I am now being told I have to pay 300+ dollars for them to come out and redo it. This is after spending thousands on new counters . All I see when I walk into my bathrooms is yellow caulk and it infuriates me . I emailed with Marie back and forth but she was unwilling to help and said she had never heard of this issue before . I found that very difficult to imagine since we were barely using the bathrooms at the time it yellowed . read more

Do not do business with this company. I got four quotes to replace my kitchen countertops, including one from them. I gave each company my measurements which included a 4-inch backsplash. U.S. Granite was the least expensive. I asked Marie, my salesperson, at least three times in emails and text messages to please give me the most accurate estimate possible so I wouldn't be surprised when the final bill was due. My estimate was $3500, the final cost was $4500. My measurements were accurate. And here's the thing, you pay half the amount of the estimate before they come to measure, then you pay the full cost once they do the templating and BEFORE they install (which they also don't tell you). The person who comes out to do the template asks for the money in full before he leaves. So you're stuck -- you can't change your mind or you lose your hefty deposit. Other companies come and do the measurement for a nominal fee so you are dealing with an accurate price. This at its worst is bait and switch and at its best, incompetence. I would have preferred an accurate estimate rather than lowballing me to get a sale. They also are terrible communicators and border on being rude. Excellent experience and product for our kitchen remodel. We chose one of their stone slabs for our counters and backsplash. The customer services was very good and very informative from our first visit through the final install. We did a 3" mitered edge for our center island and my kitchen designer said she'd never seen such perfect craftmanship with the mitering. She was very impressed! I purchased a granite kitchen countertop, sink and faucet from US Granite. I thought the showroom and selection were very nice but that's where the good part ended. The entire process was a series of mistakes and inattention and I am extremely disappointed and upset with my experience with US Granite. I was suprised to be asked to pay the entire countertop fee before it was completed, and I told the owner Robert I was uncomfortable about it but he insisted (red flag and lesson learned). Now it's clear what a mistake that was. The installers dented and scratched the front of my refrigerator. No one mentioned to me while they were here that there had been a problem. When the plumber came to attach the sink, the 2 drains that were sent did not fit. The screws were too short to work with the granite sink. I had to find replacements at the last minute. When my contractor came to grout the backsplash we realized the countertop had not been sealed. It was absorbing liquids. I called Marie to tell her the countertop hadn't been sealed. It was not the conversation I expected. Rather than arranging to have an installer come and check, she said she was sure the installers would have done that after the installation. When I explained the countertop was not wiped down and my contractor confirmed it was still absorbing liquid, Marie asked for the name and number of my contractor which I found disrespectful but I gave it to her anyway. She never reached out to him. Because US Granite did not seal the countertop and was not returning my call, I couldn't wait any longer to use the kitchen, I had to have someone else do it. I paid US Granite for the countertop and installation in full. However, the installation was not complete, I had to replace materials incorrectly ordered by US Granite, I have a scratched and dented refrigerator, and had been without a kitchen for over two weeks. Marie never returned my phone call and Robert has not responded to my written complaint. I would strongly recommend finding another granite supplier. read more

If I could give zero stars I would! As a contractor (Guarantee Construction Services, LLC), I've paid U.S. Granite, Inc. of Danbury, CT (usgranite.com) to order cabinets for my client's project and a granite countertop. Robert Basar is the owner and Marie seems to be employed by this company. After paying out of pocket for both the cabinets and the granite (which I've felt most uncomfortable doing without seeing the product ordered and properly installed) - I must write this review in the hope that it will help someone not make the same mistake I've made in choosing this company. One of the door panels on the cabinet was delivered broken. Also, when this company went to my client's residence to measure for the granite, they obviously did a very poor job in even doing the measurements because the granite is not only cut wrong but it was installed very unprofessionally (not level at all) and then they propped the granite up which is even horrible because you can see the gap where the granite is supposed to meet the cabinets. What's also terrible is how they've even dented my client's sink that I personally purchased for my client. When I called to speak with Robert Basar, I've asked for his phone number and his email address. The person who answered the phone, says she doesn't have that information. Robert Basar and Marie took it upon themselves to go to my client's house and when my client showed them all the defects, they told her to patch up the broken cabinet door and that there's nothing wrong with the granite installation. Neither one of them had the decency to speak directly with me nor respond to my emails regarding same. Needless to say, I will be seeking advice from my bank and also legal counsel for reimbursement and I will be reporting this company to the better business bureau as well! I am a woman-owned small business and to know that my clients were left with a kitchen like this is just a disaster and an embarrassment! U.S. Granite, Inc. (CT Cnt Lic: HIC. 0568683) located in Danbury, CT (and it seems they have another location in Wilton, CT) is the worse I've ever dealt with - most unprofessional! Need I say more? I went to four granite places in the city of Danbury. U.S. Granite was the most reasonable. Their sales people were excellent. Attentive, knowledgeable, helpful and just plain nice. Service was great and the install was flawless. I've read some other reviews about having to pay in full. Not true in my case. And they could not have been more professional. Never again. We were return customers to U.S. Granite. We are not sure what happened between then and now, but we will not be returning again or referring anyone to this company. The scheduling process was horrendous - each time we were told a time slot, it was incorrect. Even after calling to review the schedule, confirming install time at the template appointment, and checking again at our layout appointment, this company STILL didn't show at the scheduled time and then told us we had a completely different install time. We were also quoted for square footage that turned out to be significantly less than what we needed, forcing us to pay over $1300 than expected after they offered us a 15% discount (after our countertops had been removed, of course.) We also arrived to our layout appointment on time to be informed that no one was present who could assist us and had to wait a half hour beyond our scheduled appointnent time to be helped. To top it off, the installers forgot a small piece of stone when they came. Today I received a call at work that they were waiting at our house to install it - no appointment, no heads up. The piece is being left for us to install ourselves now. Your time is not valuable to this company. Organization is not their forte. It is not worth the headache of dealing with U S. Fabby is the only competent individual in the place! I dealt with Penny who did everything from keeping my email in spam for a week to ordering the wrong tile. The installers were outstanding but everything else was bad. The installation was delayed more than a week and we had to call to learn of the delay. The demo/installation began on 6/23 and wasn't finished until 7/8 because the installers had to do the job at night. This was our third purchase from US Granite and we discovered that loyalty has no value with these people. We tried to express our dissatisfaction to Robert, the head honcho, and he wound up screaming at me on the phone so much that I had to hang up on him. We will never deal with them again and I suggest that everyone else follow suit. read more

I'll start by saying if I could rate them zero stars I would! In early May, 5/1/17 to be exact I went to their Danbury store and worked with Marie for a small order to include a threshold and triangular seat for a master shower I was finishing. It was a Monday and the order totaled $311.07. I was promised my order no later than Saturday by Marie. On Saturday morning May 6th, I called and asked for Marie. I was told she was with other customers and would call me back as I left my contact info with the gentleman I spoke with. Several hours later after no return call I called again. At this time, approximately 1:10pm I was advised by Marie that my order was in fact not fabricated as of yet because they were "busy," despite my being promised the items by that day. I advised Marie that I wanted to cancel my order and have my $311.07 refunded to my card. She advised that my order would b ready on Tuesday which was unacceptable, and if I still wanted to cancel my order, which I did, I'd have to call back at a later time as they were busy and she couldn't take the time to process my credit at that time. Because of my own fault, 2 weeks passed and I finally called back on Friday May 26th and again spoke with Marie. She asked for my cc info which I gave her and she stated that because they were busy the credit would not be issued until the following day, Saturday May 27th. I was fine with that. I left town for just shy of 2 weeks on Sunday May 28th and upon my return, on Thursday June 8th, I still had no credit to my card. On Monday June 12th, I called and asked to speak with a manager. I spoke with a woman who had an accent who said her name was Fabby or Sabby, couldn't really understand. I explained the entire saga and she assured me she'd credit my card that day, even reciting my cc info to me, but she did say it would tae a few days to show up on my statement. Well its been 8 days since I spoke with her and I still don't have a credit. I always like to give the merchants I deal with the benefit of the doubt before filing a dispute with my CC company, but this is ridiculous! Not only will I never do business with this business, but I've already told everyone I know that are in the trades as I am to beware of this business and their empty promises. I walked into this store and the first thing I smelled was a foal "bathroom" smell. It was a horrible way to be greeted especially for such a nice showroom. I walked up to the counter where three employees were all engaged with one customer. I waited by the counter for someone to assist (about 8 minutes). Eventually one peeled their eyes from the computer and asked how they could help. I was shown the the warehouse and was able to walk around alone, which was nice for no pressure... But also, I had a hard time figuring out what pieces were available for sale, even pricing, ha! I walked back into the show room and asked about some certain pieces (all spoken for). The sales person made an attempt to talk me into some creamish/yellow granite, after telling her my cabinets were yellow. Really? Yellow and yellow? I had information that a new shipment of Everest quartzite (what I was looking for) was being shipped to a warehouse nearby... when inquiring about it, the salespeople said "no", they couldn't help, without picking up the phone. Just rude! I walked out and they lost a 10k sale that European Granite easily stole that very same day. Was it because I am young and building a house? Stay away! What a bunch of con artists and sleaze balls. I work in the appliance business as Regional Manager for New England and figured I would stay local for a small job. The stone was nice but the installation and staff were horrible! Installer drilled hole wrong so my plumber charged me for the service call because he had to come back twice. Asked these idiots to credit me $75.00 for their error and simply apply a credit towards the $700.00 charge for a bathroom vanity top. Can't get a returned call so I guess I will call my credit card company after I finish writing this. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else because when industry people like me can't get service, you can bet your experience will be 10 times worse! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!! read more

Very poor experience.. installers incorrectly drilled the hole for the sink 1" off center..Robert was totally unprofessional..blamed us..we had to go through Visa to get him to settle our claim..the finish on our granite when I compare to other companies is rough and so much duller and filled in with epoxy..hold on to your wallet and stay away from this company.. read more

Very unprofessional management, got yelled at by Robert .... after template was taken for the kitchen counter and the tech left I called him 15 min later in his car telling him that I would like to change some measurement if no extra charge is involve .. no problem ...just call the office in the morning and they will do the adjustment, which I did ... they supposed to call me before cutting the slab to tell me where the seam will be, did not happen until I called them at 9:30am to tell me about the seam .... they did the cut the slab at 8 am, they told me .... nothing can be done, I signed the papers ....unless will pay for another piece.... close to $3000. Telling Robert that I called the tech. guy who took the template the night before 15 min later after he left to make changes ... he argued it was to late and I signed for it, yelling at me over the phone ...they said I called at 9pm, which was untrue, I had the call at 7:30 on my cell as proof ... He blamed everything on me, in his book as a costumer I can't change my mind ... No I won't do business with them. read more

This place is fantastic. We went to four other granite warehouses / stores and then went to US Granite. We were met by a very professional staff. Fabi, the saleswoman, walked around the warehouse and was knowledgable about everything including the cutting process. She asked my wife a dozen questions and made a few suggestions that were better than the ideas we had. We purchased a beautiful piece that makes our kitchen truly unique and beautiful. We used US Granite for our new kitchen cabinets and granite counters. We experienced too many problems for me to recommend them to others. There are just too many other options out there you can choose from. We worked closely with them on selecting the right cabinets and counters. After working with them for a couple of months on a budget we provided them, they gave us a quote that was in line and we agreed upon the price. The cabinets were ordered and we were on our way. A couple of weeks after that they called us up and said they made a mistake on the quote. They forgot to include the cost of the island in their quote and the price for the granite was actually almost 50% higher than they told us. This was a problem as we were now way over our agreed upon budget. Unfortunately it was too late to turn back with them as the cabinets were already ordered and could not be cancelled. We spoke to the owner who apologized and gave us a discount but we were still thousands over our budget. Fast forward to the cabinets coming in. The cabinet over the refrigerator was the wrong size but they didnt mention it, they hoped we wouldnt notice. Our refrigerator barely fit. Our contractor told us he heard them talking and they knew it was the wrong size but hoped we wouldnt notice. Additionally, the shelving in that cabinet was horizontal not vertical as we ordered but again they didnt mention this and we had to bring it up. They agreed to order a new cabinet but that took another 3 or 4 months to come in before we could finish our kitchen. We also had to ask for anchors for the cabinet doors to prevent them from hitting each other or the window trim when open. A minor but important thing they should have provided with a high end kitchen. We also told the owner that the paint on the cabinet that held the garbage cans was wearing much faster than the other cabinets. He said he would check with his team and get back to us. That was three years ago and we are still waiting for him to get back to us. There are lots of granite and kitchen companies in Fairfield County, I would recommend using another company. read more
