I did not realize my fabricator had spoken to Anthony on the phone. It started a commission game. I found one slab that I really liked, but I needed two. They gave me the runaround and sent me pictures of different stones. They kept telling me they only had that one slab. I made 3 trips down to Milford, all a waste of time. I told my fabricator I wanted another slab of the one I had seen and for her to call to see what she could do. She called them and was told they would get another slab from another location and to give it time to arrive, so she told me only to stop by the next day in the afternoon. I stopped by in the afternoon and was greeted by Anthony, who eventually told me they had the second slab in the warehouse the whole time. When I asked why I was not told that from day one, he kept making excuses that were horrible. From my understanding, it essentially came down to a commission game. He wanted the commission, and since I had walked in and spoken to Matt, he didn't want Matt to get the commission. Very weird experience that cost me 4 days of lost time on the remodel and 3 different trips down to Milford from Newtown. I will not use them again. Very unprofessional. It was ridiculous!

When we moved to Florida we ordered the same kitchen from them and they sent their best installer who finished it beautifully. We only had one problem with the kick board which was replaced immediately. Their was much back and forth by email between myself and the designer Mimi and the resulting plan was just what I needed. The first kitchen which I needed for Thanksgiving ran into a snag with a hurricane which knocked out the power for a week. The installer completed the job with hand tools working only with natural daylight. My sister also had her kitchen done and is very happy with it.

Excellent design, poor workmanship, won't stand behind their work…read more We recently purchased a new home at Fieldstone Village, so we didn't have a lot of choice in our subcontractors. They have been competent, polite and more than willing to make repairs or explain things to us. Then there's Sasso. We actually went to their showroom and met "the girls." They call themselves that and will tell you they don't make decisions or give pricing. But they do have a great selection, creative ideas and try to please. Too bad "the boys" can't follow through. The floors they put in are pretty good. Uneven in a few spots, but not horrible. They cut and installed our counter tops. During the walk-through, we noticed the counter top wasn't even. One side of the range was almost an inch deeper than the other side. At first, they denied it. They had to come in and reset one side of the counter to make things even. But they did it. We talked with them about doing some extra tiling in our bathrooms. Talked about it...never agreed to it. They did it anyway. Which would have been OK if we knew the price and the work was worth it. The work is awful. The tiles don't line up. Bull nose tile is used inappropriately. Tiles stick out. It's awful. The builder, who agreed with us about the quality of the work, asked Mr. Sasso to come look. He stared at the work and said it was fine. Mr. Sasso attempted to tell us the work was done right. He seems to be the only one who thinks so. He wouldn't even discuss any repairs or make an attempt to satisfy us. Meanwhile, he's told us he'll call to take another look. We haven't heard from him in four months. Our advice: If you have a choice, stay away.

They patiently explained that the kind of tiles I was trying to match are no longer available everywhere... that it might be tough to find what I was looking for. I knew I could get them at a stone supply place in Milford, but I really didn't want to do business there since they weren't very helpful. The people at Sasso looked at my samples and listened to my description of what I was trying to accomplish... took my phone number and within a few hours called me back to say that they had spoken with a quarry that would send the three pieces of slate I needed... all for a fraction of the expense I'd have had in Milford. The showroom at Sasso Tile is terriffic, too. Some of their tile looks good enough to eat! I just hope I can do a big project and use Sasso Tile as my supplier!
