Sashimi Lunch Special
Eugene C.

Got two of their lunch specials a week or so ago to go. I got the teriyaki beef and the sashimi. Both were pretty good all things considered (the neighborhood isn't particularly known for it's Asian cuisine like Flushing would be). It was freshly made and prepared fairly quickly. The space itself was fairly small but would be suitable for like a lunch meeting. Overall, it's a nice little mom and pop establishment. If I were in the area and craving some sushi, I would go back here.

Kaiju roll. Sashimi-salmon, eel, Spanish mackerel. I asked for low-sodium soy sauce. Everything was properly packaged. I am not a fan of sushi. I predominately eat sashimi but their sushi was very great. The person that answered the phone after quite a few times were very patient. Thank you.

I've had sushi from U-Me multiple times through Uber Eats but I ate in recently for the first time and it was beyond worth it. Everything tasted amazing - fresh and flavorful. Our waitress was so sweet, patient and friendly. I love the set up of the place. Perfect lighting and just the right vibe. Definitely a go to for me.

My go to spot whenever I'm on this side of Queens and they always successfully satisfy my sushi craving. I usually order delivery and don't have a problem. However, I did indoor dining for the first time I believe the servers name was viví but she was absolutely a pleasure. The decor is nothing to rave about and they are certainly busy delivery wise but a great spot to check out. We even were surprised with ice cream at the end since we devoured our lunch haha. Which worked out since we had a bday at the table. Totally check them out if you're reading this

This has to be the best sushi place in New York. My friend put me onto the spot a few years ago and I have not stopped coming ever since. I take all my dates here all my friends here I put everyone on. It's a family owned business. There's always this nice, mother and daughter in the establishment is just a very welcoming and well put clean establishment. Don't get me started on their sushi. Absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend.10/10

U-Me never fails me. I've tried so many sushi restaurants over the years and this place has been my constant through and through. It's always clean and neat even though the store is small. My friends and I went this morning right when they were opening. The service was still incredibly fast even though they had just opened. We got the 3 rolls lunch special as well as a katsu box. For appetizers we had rock shrimp and shrimp shumai which was so so good. I'll definitely be ordering the rock shrimp again. It was very nice of them to replace the miso soup with clear soup for the lunch. They gave us complimentary ice cream at the end which was so sweet. This place is a must try!!

Conveniently delivers to Forest Hills! My favorites are the shrimp shumai and the dragonfly roll. We also tried the shrimp fried rice hibachi which is very good too. The vegetables with the salmon hibachi don't have much flavor but the salmon itself is good.

I've eaten in and ordered out from this restaurant a few times. I think they get more takeout and delivery customers than sit ins. The staff is pleasant. The food is consistently fresh. I get combo rolls but struggle to find the taste differences between the meats like salmon, tuna and yellowtail. They are good, but taste pretty much the same. (I'd give this place a decent 3.8..) I do recommend the spicy girl roll. A tip: try to get a lunch special.

Salmon Teriyaki Boxed Lunch

A Japanese haven in Woodhaven. Been going to this place for more than 5 years now and they never disappoint. Food served fresh daily with a clean, homey ambiance and excellent customer service. Their servers are always friendly and carry such good conversations. Totally recommend!

Friendly atmosphere, good hospitality. Well made hand rolls but a little pricey if you are looking for a bargain.

I remember when this business opened more than ten years now. I concur with previous Yelp reviews that Ozone Park have very little food options for dining-in cafes and restaurants for many years and choosing Ozone Park is to go down the rabbit hole. I have chosen to patronized Hana Asian Bistro on a extreme heat, hot humid day which calls for sushi and sashimi. Sushi and Sashimi for one, $34.50 Chef's choice (Omakase) of 5 pieces assorted sushi and 10 pieces assorted sashimi with tuna roll and California roll. This platter is accompanied with either miso soup or salad. I decided on salad which is my default choice. I decided on hot Matcha green tea to accompany my meal. I did not taste any Matcha nor was there any putrid aroma as it was very weak and paucity. This platter was gargantuan as I was unable to finish it entirely. Salad - The lettuce was swimming in ginger dressing that was very watery. The one cherry tomato was not cut which is unusual. The cucumber was gargantuan in size as it is the largest I have seen embedded in a salad. Tuna roll - Fresh and I can taste the tuna. This was a pleasure. California roll - contains too much avocado and minimal cucumber. Tasted weird that I cannot finish as it was hard to swallow. There are giant screens that give a irksome strobe lighting effect. The dim LED lighting during my lunch makes it difficult to see especially reading the menu and gave me a headache while I sat hoping for phlegmatic disposition but was wamble. I saw an elderly man who walked-in after me dined alone for lunch and had to use a flash light. Customer service is average and provide reasonable accommodation to a seat neighbor with a flash light to view the menu. There is a full bar and large plasmas television screens to appease the sport aficionado customer. The drink menu is intense for cocktails and I wonder if the proprietor(s) monitor patrons' alcohol intake level for possible DWI (Driving While Intoxicated) offense. The extensive takeout menu also serve as the dine-in menu. Unlike the standard traditional, very conservative Japanese restaurant, Hana Asian Bistro fends a very bold modern Asian bistro, non-traditional atmospheric setting and targets the non-Asian clientele. Wooden disposable chopsticks are provided to preserve the traditional Japanese dining experience... at least. The background music is annoyingly boisterous loud playing either K-pop and R&B. There are two (2) facilities available and relatively clean. The interior of the facility there are no hooks for jackets, coats or bags as I had to place my bag on the door hinge. The hand air dryer in the facility does does not fully function as I inevitably dried my hands with a paper towel. The bathroom faucet sink appears to be Kohler brand which is very modernly unique large flat basin with edges for drainage. The large doors mirrors the main entrances' large doors for a dramatic appearance. The facade is heavily plastered with vexatious advertisements of their food and drink offerings. A gratuity guide is printed on the bottom of the sales receipt with intervals of 18%, 20& and 22%, ergo no math calculation is required by the customer. This business is very accessible by MTA NYC Transit buses Q52 SBS, Q53 SBS, Q22, Q41 and A train at Rockaway Boulevard via Cross Bay Boulevard near the Belt Parkway in Ozone Park, Queens, New York City.

I'd also say that they're happy hour is very generous and they have a decent variety of drinks like plum wine and beers. This place can get very busy and it can be difficult to flag down staff. It would be nice if they had one of those buzzing buttons that you could use to call the staff. Overall, still my favorite place to eat at in person. My wife had heard good things and we had been craving sushi for a while, so we took a stroll over and gave it a shot. I went with my usual order -- a spider roll and spicy tuna -- and both were solid. I tried a third roll as well but honestly cannot remember what it was, and it did not leave much of an impression either way. The first two though were good enough to bring me back. The highlight of the visit was honestly our server. She was cool, spunky, and had a great sense of humor. We ended up laughing and joking around with her throughout the meal, which added a lot to the overall experience. Pleasant visit all around. We will be back.

In reality, they don't serve high quality sushi omakase or anything fancy. However, they do serve some of the best sushi rolls in the area. Always fresh and many crazy concoctions that will satisfy almost any taste buds. I have been coming here ever since moving into the neighborhood. The servers have always been kind and helpful. The restaurant is very small and really focus mostly on takeout or delivery. On the last visit, I really like the Mini Scallop Roll and Spicy Tuna Crunchy Roll. Munchy Roll was just okay. White Tuna Sashimi was too cold and icy, while the White Tuna Nigiri was somewhat better. However, truth be told, just come for the fun and interesting sushi rolls and forget about the nigiri or sashimi.

As…read moresomeone with a severe gluten allergy, I was really excited to try out this place because I saw a lot of reviews online praising for the way the staff members handle food allergies. I went in right around opening time (noon) on the weekend - the outside is a bit unassuming and partially covered by awning but the inside was brightly lit and the lady at the register (I wish I asked for her name) was incredibly warm and welcoming. She was super enthusiastic about helping me identify which rolls would be safe for me to have. They also have a grab-and-go section where certain popular rolls and sides have already been prepped, but as long as you're willing to wait, the chefs are more than happy to make a fresh batch of a specific roll, even if there are already packed portions of the same exact roll in the grab-and-go section. I thought this was a really thoughtful approach to appeasing all customers. I ended up going with a Philadelphia roll and a Mango Tango specialty roll, which contained a combination of salmon and tuna, mango, avocado, and cucumbers. The ingredients were very fresh and I think the prices are quite reasonable. Without even asking, I was given gluten-free tamari sauce instead of normal soy sauce. The combination of the restaurant's extensive menu and how kind the staff were made this a really wonderful experience - I was very satisfied with my order and definitely see myself coming back again and again whenever I have a sushi craving. The only downside is that this is really more so a grab-and-go spot in general, as there were only two small tables in the entire store. As a heads up, they also prefer to take cash instead of card.
