Food is good. Staff are super friendly. You feel like you're in little Tokyo. Place is on a dimmer side with lighting but comfortable. Came with the family and kid approved.

Never tried this place and really should have . The other one wasn't ever as good it's couple blocks down. The rolls were really fresh and goos rice ratio. And as well as rices . I saw some rolls on the menu id like to try coming back soon

We were looking for a sushi place nearby for lunch within walking distance of our house since it was a nice day and I wanted to get some exercise. This place is open for takeout and they have taken great lengths to ensure social distancing during this time. They installed a box and a large plastic at their entrance so there is no interactions with you and the employees. They do a great job ensuring both their employees and customers are healthy and safe. They have even installed a MC system so they can speak to you through the barrier. The box has door on either side so they hand you the food through the box and close the other side beforw you open the door to your side of the box. It is very convenient you can order online through their website. We ordered the 3-roll lunch special, 2-roll lunch special, 2pc tobiko sashimi, and 2pc Ikura sashimi. For the 3-roll lunch special we picked the yellowtail & scallion, spicy shrimp, and salmon & avacado roll. For the 2-roll lunch special we ordered the spicy salmon, and eel & avacado roll. The sushi was good but not the best sushi I've had. The way they made the tobiko sashimi was pretty creative they served it in a cucumber flower.

Service was good. Vast amount of menu choices as well as specials. Food was okay. Soy sauce was super salty. The inside of the restaurant could use a little sprucing up.

I don't understand what happened to this place? We've ordered from here so many times and they've always been reliable. We ordered tonight and it took more than an hour to arrive for just a few rolls and gyoza. My roll was supposed to have salmon, whitefish, and yellowtail. It arrived looking like the picture. The roll was 90% rice and I can't even imagine all of the fish are in there. The pieces also had bones in them. And other than that, they completely forgot the gyoza. When we called they snapped at us that they won't be able to bring us the gyoza we paid for and ALSO wouldn't refund us for it. They only gave us a credit. I don't know what good a credit would do because we're never ordering from here again

This time I went in, took a seat and ohhh man. We started with the appetizer Rock Shrimp and Veggie Tempura. That was very good, well done. From our entrees we had California Rolls, Luvi Dovi Roll "Freaking Amazing" The flavors that swirls in at the same and different times; its mind blowing. I totally don't even know what the other rolls were called... after having that one bite it was a game changer. I recommend it to anyone reading this post. Sushi is good, the dishes were all cook very well. Definitely check this place out for an authentic dish around the Howard Beach area.

THE go-to sushi place in this area. I've been coming here for years, and have always found the food to be consistently delicious. I'm a lover of all raw/cooked sushi along with the standard Jap chicken teriyaki/pork katsu dishes. Sakura never fails to meet my cravings. The salmon and white tuna always taste so fresh. And every special roll I've dared to try met the standard of pretty good to will order repeatedly until I'm sick of it. The service is also excellent. Henry has been running this place amazingly, and the staff are more than accommodating. Even my friends who were originally scared of eating sushi fell in love. This has become my family's spot to celebrate occasions or have a nice dinner. This has also been a regular meetup/reunion spot for my HS friend and I to catch up when she's back from New Hampshire to visit. Love this place, and will continue to come back here!

I called the restaurant one hour after placing the order. The person who answer the called said the order was already out for delivery and at 9:10 until still waiting for my order to arrive called again. I understand due to the pandemic and being that I'd Saturday night they must be busy, but now the person who answer the called told me he just realized my order is seating at a table on the restaurant and never left for delivery like I was told. It has been 1 1/2 hours since I placed my order and they just told me my order never left the restaurant, the food may be good but the lack of professionalism is unreal, how are they going to lie about my order being sent out for delivery when it never was. As expect it I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THIS PLACE AGAIN and DO NOT RECOMMEND IT AT ALL. ALSO SEAMLESS DON'T HELP AT ALL. BOTH SUCKS!

A hair in my food!!!!! Disgusting!!!!! Try to call the restaurant but no one answer!!!

I remember when this business opened more than ten years now. I concur with previous Yelp reviews that Ozone Park have very little food options for dining-in cafes and restaurants for many years and choosing Ozone Park is to go down the rabbit hole. I have chosen to patronized Hana Asian Bistro on a extreme heat, hot humid day which calls for sushi and sashimi. Sushi and Sashimi for one, $34.50 Chef's choice (Omakase) of 5 pieces assorted sushi and 10 pieces assorted sashimi with tuna roll and California roll. This platter is accompanied with either miso soup or salad. I decided on salad which is my default choice. I decided on hot Matcha green tea to accompany my meal. I did not taste any Matcha nor was there any putrid aroma as it was very weak and paucity. This platter was gargantuan as I was unable to finish it entirely. Salad - The lettuce was swimming in ginger dressing that was very watery. The one cherry tomato was not cut which is unusual. The cucumber was gargantuan in size as it is the largest I have seen embedded in a salad. Tuna roll - Fresh and I can taste the tuna. This was a pleasure. California roll - contains too much avocado and minimal cucumber. Tasted weird that I cannot finish as it was hard to swallow. There are giant screens that give a irksome strobe lighting effect. The dim LED lighting during my lunch makes it difficult to see especially reading the menu and gave me a headache while I sat hoping for phlegmatic disposition but was wamble. I saw an elderly man who walked-in after me dined alone for lunch and had to use a flash light. Customer service is average and provide reasonable accommodation to a seat neighbor with a flash light to view the menu. There is a full bar and large plasmas television screens to appease the sport aficionado customer. The drink menu is intense for cocktails and I wonder if the proprietor(s) monitor patrons' alcohol intake level for possible DWI (Driving While Intoxicated) offense. The extensive takeout menu also serve as the dine-in menu. Unlike the standard traditional, very conservative Japanese restaurant, Hana Asian Bistro fends a very bold modern Asian bistro, non-traditional atmospheric setting and targets the non-Asian clientele. Wooden disposable chopsticks are provided to preserve the traditional Japanese dining experience... at least. The background music is annoyingly boisterous loud playing either K-pop and R&B. There are two (2) facilities available and relatively clean. The interior of the facility there are no hooks for jackets, coats or bags as I had to place my bag on the door hinge. The hand air dryer in the facility does does not fully function as I inevitably dried my hands with a paper towel. The bathroom faucet sink appears to be Kohler brand which is very modernly unique large flat basin with edges for drainage. The large doors mirrors the main entrances' large doors for a dramatic appearance. The facade is heavily plastered with vexatious advertisements of their food and drink offerings. A gratuity guide is printed on the bottom of the sales receipt with intervals of 18%, 20& and 22%, ergo no math calculation is required by the customer. This business is very accessible by MTA NYC Transit buses Q52 SBS, Q53 SBS, Q22, Q41 and A train at Rockaway Boulevard via Cross Bay Boulevard near the Belt Parkway in Ozone Park, Queens, New York City.

Generally the slices are nice and thick and there's plenty of rice, but when I ordered this as take out, they gave me much less rice which I didn't expect. I'd also say that they're happy hour is very generous and they have a decent variety of drinks like plum wine and beers. This place can get very busy and it can be difficult to flag down staff. It would be nice if they had one of those buzzing buttons that you could use to call the staff. Overall, still my favorite place to eat at in person. My wife had heard good things and we had been craving sushi for a while, so we took a stroll over and gave it a shot. I went with my usual order -- a spider roll and spicy tuna -- and both were solid. I tried a third roll as well but honestly cannot remember what it was, and it did not leave much of an impression either way. The first two though were good enough to bring me back. The highlight of the visit was honestly our server. She was cool, spunky, and had a great sense of humor. We ended up laughing and joking around with her throughout the meal, which added a lot to the overall experience. Pleasant visit all around. We will be back.

In reality, they don't serve high quality sushi omakase or anything fancy. However, they do serve some of the best sushi rolls in the area. Always fresh and many crazy concoctions that will satisfy almost any taste buds. I have been coming here ever since moving into the neighborhood. The servers have always been kind and helpful. The restaurant is very small and really focus mostly on takeout or delivery. On the last visit, I really like the Mini Scallop Roll and Spicy Tuna Crunchy Roll. Munchy Roll was just okay. White Tuna Sashimi was too cold and icy, while the White Tuna Nigiri was somewhat better. However, truth be told, just come for the fun and interesting sushi rolls and forget about the nigiri or sashimi.

As…read moresomeone with a severe gluten allergy, I was really excited to try out this place because I saw a lot of reviews online praising for the way the staff members handle food allergies. I went in right around opening time (noon) on the weekend - the outside is a bit unassuming and partially covered by awning but the inside was brightly lit and the lady at the register (I wish I asked for her name) was incredibly warm and welcoming. She was super enthusiastic about helping me identify which rolls would be safe for me to have. They also have a grab-and-go section where certain popular rolls and sides have already been prepped, but as long as you're willing to wait, the chefs are more than happy to make a fresh batch of a specific roll, even if there are already packed portions of the same exact roll in the grab-and-go section. I thought this was a really thoughtful approach to appeasing all customers. I ended up going with a Philadelphia roll and a Mango Tango specialty roll, which contained a combination of salmon and tuna, mango, avocado, and cucumbers. The ingredients were very fresh and I think the prices are quite reasonable. Without even asking, I was given gluten-free tamari sauce instead of normal soy sauce. The combination of the restaurant's extensive menu and how kind the staff were made this a really wonderful experience - I was very satisfied with my order and definitely see myself coming back again and again whenever I have a sushi craving. The only downside is that this is really more so a grab-and-go spot in general, as there were only two small tables in the entire store. As a heads up, they also prefer to take cash instead of card.
