    Avoid this location they close the parking lots and will block your car in over night. Never have I experienced such disregard for personal property and such poor customer service to basically call me a liar with out being present to know what information I was told is unacceptable. Sheila Hubbs instead of calling us to understand the situation proceeded to refund $50 due to the inconvenience. Case closed on her end. When i contacted Sheila Hubbs to ask why she never felt we deserved the decency of a follow up instead of the sly game she was playing to cover her own mistakes. Sheila Hubbs was rude, unprofessional, and untruthful during our call. Sheila Hubbs proceeded to gaslight me her own version of event where there was no way weren't told of the "lock down". Sheila Hubbs also said she wouldn't be refunding anything further and that I was lucky she even gave a $50 credit. I'm not going to stop speaking out about this horrible experience as I don't thinks none else should be subjected to this kind of treatment. Sheila Hubbs was wrong and knew this. What adds even more insult to injury I've been contacting the office of Douglas Rumfeild area manager of Long Beach U-Haul who after weeks of calling still cannot return a call. So I ask you Douglas Rumfeild is Sheila Hubbs the type of representation you believe U-Haul as a company would like to exuded to customers? Maybe this review will get Douglas Rumfeild attention and you could possibly call me back after my weeks of contacting your office. Avoid this location and U-Haul unless you like being gaslighted and ignored.

    We really enjoyed the service we received at this location when renting a van for a few hours. The staff was courteous despite it being busy with the phone constantly ringing at 830am. What we did not like were these so called "movers" loitering in the front offering their moving services. We hired them for a quick 5 min job to help move a queen mattress and 3 boxes from our garage and agreed on a price. I made sure to confirm the price in English' and Spanish. Come to find out, once inside our home, they pulled a bait and switch and asked for twice as much money, refusing to leave! This is to no fault of the U-Haul staff, but if someone from management is reading this, know that these guys(business and photo attached) are scammers who prey on your customers. While I know nobody at the U-Haul is liable if they decides to hire them, I just wanted to let readers know in case they come across them while renting a U-Haul truck at your location.

    This was one of my worst experiences at a uhual location ever. 1. The phone representative booked for a uhual reservation at a Location that is closed on Sunday (the day I needed the rental) I only found out because a U-Haul rep at that location called me and told me that I cannot get my rental since they were closed and advise me to call the other location on Pacific Coast Highway. 2. We got our rental truck 1.5 hours later than our reserved time because at the time of booking, the rep from the store did not tell us that we were doing a mobile pick up so we had no idea of how to get our rental. 3. The rep who was at the store was of no help. He simoly told us to use our phones and didn't help. 4. We called 24 hour customer service and she was of more help than the rep who physically at the location with us. She was able to help us get our uhual. 5. The U-Haul was dirty the right tire was low and it was trash in the U-Haul. I am overall just please with the service and it completely push my move in time back. Never again.

    I was helping my friend moved, so we went to u-haul to get a truck. Shaun was extremely helpful, professional, charming . I have rented trucks in the past, mostly at this location and never ever knew about all the wonderful things they offered for purchase (to be honest tho, in conversation with previous employees, I have told them I was renting the trucks for work, so there wasn't a need for other items, and time is always important when I am working, so appreciate that they got me in and out). I like coming here cause most employees are very nice.

    Had 3 propane tanks filled and the quality of gas is horrible. My bbq flames yellow when it should be blue. Never going here again...

Around last month while I was in my storage unit I was leaving around 6:30 and I got locked in. I didn't know why I was locked in and I had to wait for 30 minutes for a kind gentleman to help me get out of my storage unit. Multiple times after that, I went back and tried my code but it didn't work, and there wasn't anyone in the office. So I tried to call customer service. Unsurprisingly no one answered. I called again a few days later and no one answered again. Then I called another day and finally someone picked up the phone. They spoke to me and told me that I have to have autopay enrolled to get "extended hours." That's the first time I've ever heard about this in the 3 years I've been using this storage unit. I had to find out after being locked in the storage. Then she proceeds to tell me that she will give me back my hours. So today, I went to my storage unit and I put my stuff in, and my boyfriend unfortunately left his phone in there, so we went back to get his phone at 6:10 pm, but guess what. We weren't able to go in. So I called and asked why my hours were still not back and if they could fix it but they said that they could not. So now my boyfriend doesn't have his phone and can't go to work tomorrow cause he needs to go during the "regular hours." Also they upped the price of my unit to 185 dollars a month for a tiny 5 by 5 unit.

I rented mid month and paid a prorated fee plus an admin fee and renters insurance. After 3 months they sent me a notice that my rent would be increased by $50 the following month. I moved my belongings out and contacted the facility saying that it was clean and empty. I just needed to remove the locks. Unknowingly, I had to use the access code to remove the locks and I did that on the first day of the month and received a closing bill for the entire month because I accessed the unit. They said they don't prorate the month and I'd be responsible for the entire month even though I wasn't there and they rented it to someone else. I tried contacting management and they refused to remove the charge. I tried to fight it and they sent me to collections. I feel the $50 increase per month after just 3 months on a $172 unit was unreasonable AND their "policy" of no prorating when you move out only when you move in is not in the customer's best interest only a way for the corporation to gouge their customers for more money. They turned around and rented the unit charging the new customer for the same month that I was responsible to pay. Very unhappy customer
