Let me tell a bit story before I visit them…read more Well on Friday 1, April 2016 I went to visit my Doc, office on Stockton Blvd. My Dr. ordered me to have a blood drawn, God I have a hard time with my Dr., receptionist, she was horrible, All patients who sitting and waiting there were talking so loud, I felt like I lost in Sai-Ngon Vietnam in USA. Well visit doctor office made me want to cry because Unprofessional!!!! I ever never have this bad experience in Silicon Valley. Ok, now it about them. Thanks Lord I found you, I so depressed with my doctor office staff. Drove there, walked there, the lady at front counter say Hi and asked what can she help. She was really nice, I didn't look at her name, and otherwise I will give her name here. I let her know that I just walk in, to have a blood drawn, no appointment. She said no problem just sign in on computer and then we will take care of . Well after sign in, a few minute only the staff name start with I, he was so friendly and professional, drawn my blood and finished all in less than 5 minutes. What I should say, if not Yes you guys awesome and professional. Sorry for all who got bad experiences with them but me I was have a great time and good service. I knew customer service is shitty job, been there, done that, some time I wanted to strangle some customer, depends on you know.?? Prices were pretty reasonable too. They provide all the documentation needed and are able to sign any forms necessary. I would say that they don't do a full thorough physical exam like at a doctor's office, so I wouldn't come here for care necessarily if you have a real health condition. Other than that, staff were very nice and would definitely verify this place as an option for anyone who needs a quick health clearance.

So I decided to go there. Scheduled my appointment for 12:30, arrived about 5 minutes early, walked in and did a self check-in, sat for maybe 5 minutes, and then was seen by the Phelbotomist. She took me to the back and verified all of my information, took the necessary vials for the needed lest. And then I was good to go...in and out in about 10-15 minutes max! I have been to this location 3 times recently and all times the phlebotomists have been incredibly empathetic and caring. In the past at other hospitals or labs I have dealt with so much judgement from health care workers for a symptom I have almost no control over. This is why I will always go to this location from now on. I visited this location yesterday and the phlebotomist even offered to let me lay down while getting the blood draw, which was truly going the extra mile for me. Clean lobby area and friendly staff. Checked in on my phone at 10:20, called into the room at 10:30, my scheduled time. Greeted by technician Mirla, who was funny, personable and professional at the same time. We had small talk and she literally told me she enjoys her job; what a great employee attitude! She stuck me twice and couldn't get it done. Because of her incompetence, I was referred to their Scripps location where I had a completely different experience! Tae B. was kind, patient and caring. She made sure I was comfortable (I'm a hard stick and I HATE getting my labs done) and gave me all the tricks of the trade on how to make future blood draws a positive experience. She went out of her way to reassure me and she is excellent at her job. I felt a tiny pinch, but no pain. The gentleman at the desk was a hoot as well. He made jokes and it seemed like he understood that blood draws cause anxiety for some. The whole experience was easy going even though I was a bundle of nerves. I won't forget how I was made to feel at this location. I was filled to the brim with anxiety and Tae made me feel seen. She said she's been a phlebotomist for over 20 years. The online appointment process is simple & you can check-in virtually from the parking lot. One if their greatest assets is the technician who checks you in (haven't got his name). He is very friendly, kind, tries to make you smile, and super helpful. When the other technicians are busy, he also steps away to draw blood as well. He is very skilled and makes the entire process a breeze. I actually look forward to coming back whenever labs may be due again. I've been to other LabCorp locations in CA and AZ, and can affirm that this location at 1 Scripps Drive is the best. Their operations & genuine friendly care for patients should be replicated throughout the LabCorp network. Kudos LabCorp!!

It seems there's not really a point in bothering to set an appointment (which you can do online or via phone). I finally asked them if having an appointment does anything and they said I'd be next. But I was still not the next person. Seems like it would be wise to check in with them periodically. After continuing to wait, the person came out, told me to do the test at home, and it was not blood work; it just requires DNA (a hair sample) and to read the instructions. Being pretty sure this was blood work, I went upstairs to my Doctor's office and the Nurse came down to talk to the lab staff. (Very grateful for her!) Staff have been friendly when I've been here. But they don't seem to be very organized when it comes to managing the appointment aspect of things. Some staff also appear very misinformed since they are giving patients completely inaccurate information. Giving two stars instead of one because I've had plenty of good experiences at this location with kind staff.

I came at least 20 minutes early and couldn't do the phone check in, so I checked in at the kiosk. It was a straightforward process of the tablet scanning my drivers license and insurance. I waited for maybe less than 5 minutes and I was called in 10 minutes before my scheduled appointment time. The phlebotomist let me know of my copay, and what labs I was getting done. She drew the labs pretty quickly. She was professional and friendly. Overall, I was in and out within 20 minutes. The waiting room is spacious and clean. Seeing as I had gotten there after some other people, and I got in pretty quickly and earlier than my appointment time, I highly recommend making an appointment!
