Empty waiting room no one in the back either
    Amber C.

I been going to Quest for years and this location was by far the most unprofessional one of them all . Left my OB appointment across the street having to do some very important prenatal labs and popped my head in there to see if they would of be able to have time for a walk in as I understand a waiting room with at least 5 people is full enough to make a appointment and I usually always schedule a appointment but these labs needed to be done ASAP and this particular time I saw there was only one person in the waiting room so I checked in and sat down.. this was around 2:50 in the afternoon I wait for about 10 minutes as I'm waiting another person walks in with a scheduled appointment that appeared to be for 3pm now there's a total of 3 of us just waiting with still no acknowledgment from anyone (mind you there were no patients in the back either) I wait another 10 minutes one more person comes inside so now it's 4 of us sitting in the waiting room and still no acknowledgment from anyone on the staff . Finally around 3:18pm an older Hispanic lady with glasses comes out to say"Are all of you guys here for appointments? If not you can forget it I have to leave and theres only one person working and we have appointments and close at 4 " I informed her I've been here since 2:50pm can you do one walk in ? This is literally the emptiest quest I ever been to .. She continues to turn around talk to someone else and go back behind the closed door . I wait another 30 mins since I was waiting for my ride to come back just to see if they would see me after they've seen everyone else here waiting ..nope all of other people who came in after me have been seen and been gone place still very empty even saw one phlebotomist try and do the right thing and check with me to see what I had and I see someone stop her and tell her not to . It's unbelievable the lady lied clearly it was more than one person working . Waited almost a hour in total no one else even came in after the 3 people and they still wouldn't see me. Please shut this Quest down or hire new employees . It's clear from other reviews customer service, patient care and staffing is an huge ISSUE . Dealing with someone's health should always be important. You could tell these people didn't care and clearly just didnt want to do their job and wanted to just enjoy a slow rainy day at work until closing .

    Empty room!

Like scheduling in advance because it doesnt take as long to get in and out. Even easier when i just sign my dad in on my phone instead of having to go inside to sign him in while we wait in the car.

I don't leave reviews generally, especially now due to COVID. I understand ppl have staffing issues. Although a certain level of customer service and support should be provided at all times. I had a scheduled appt for 1:40 I arrived late 1:48 ( due to nausea caused by my pregnancy) Long story short I attempted to check in via the kiosk and phone and was unable to. So as instructed I waited for a tech to come out and after 10 min one finally did. She asked if anyone needed assistance and there were a total of 3 ppl that did including myself. She assisted the two and went back to the back. I contacted the 1800 number and spoke to a rep that stated they'd reach out. After that call a Tech finally came from the back asking if I had an appt and let me know that if I'm late it's my fault ( mind you they have a 10min grace period) As well as informing me after I showed her my appt reminder via text with the location attached... that if it was not for their office they would not be able to assist me. After she went to the back and brought out her appt sheet she again asked for my name and eventually found me on their appt list. I finally got seen at 2:32. My advice should anyone from Quest review this, is to train your Phlebotomy Techs in customer service (they should already be trained in bedside manner) also attention to detail, and maybe get a receptionist. I know we're in the tech era and computers have taken a lot of jobs making it more cost effective for the company but when you have ppl (one of the ppl I mentioned above) in your waiting room with stool samples waiting for 30 min that's a problem (these are supposed to be kept at a certain temperature). Hopefully this was just a one time issue, because I have another appt coming up.

Lines out the door on a Saturday morning!

I have to give at least one star to give review. They are really zero stars. Quest labs are poorly run with people who are lazy and do not care about patients. My mom's doctor placed urgent lab order at 10a on a Friday. The Quest in South Land Park said there were no orders and sent my mom away. There was no offer to call the physician or clarify the order. They do this very routinely stating no orders when indeed there are orders. They do this to minimize their workload or they are just plain idiots who do not know how to read a computer! Then they continued to tell my mom which labs open on a Saturday. We go to this lab at 8a on a Saturday morning and the line is 50 people deep! Lots of elderly and sick people. Are you kidding? Everyone was complaining in the waiting room on how long the wait was for labs. I asked the technician who registered us, she says this is a typical Saturday. If they know demand is so high, why don't they staff up? These are sick people that you are talking about!?!? Obviously they think these patients won't complain because most of them are immigrants. Well guess what? I'm filing complaint with CDPH for poor care. Somebody needs to be the patient advocate! Poorly run labs with lack of patient care experience! Sending patients away when they have urgent lab orders! Claiming they have no orders from physicians is unacceptable. No offer to call physician office or to seek clarification is negligence!!!

It was a gloomy office; the receptionist didn't smile or greet and I heard someone in the back said, "I could shoot myself." Hopefully that was a patient and not a staff member who said that. How unprofessionally would that be?!? After I checked in for my father, we sat down and waited. Quite surprisingly, it was fast--maybe five minutes waiting and we got called into the back. I was happy for that. The phlebotomist verified my father's birthdate at the door and again in the private room. This whole time she didn't say good morning or hello. She talked with her back towards us. She asked for my father's ID and then after she swiped it, she handed it back without looking (her back was still facing us still). She didn't smile either; the staff doesn't seem like they want to be there. She was very impatient when she asked my dad for his signature after she drew his blood. He was signing very slow--he's an 80 year old man! I was standing there watching the entire time. I noticed another terminal in the office was unlocked. I could see and read the patient's name on the screen. I'm pretty sure they violated the HIPAA law. The other phlebotomist probably thought she's leaving the room really fast, but it can't be like that when the room is shared. She did return and close out the screen. Hopefully they will address their customer service and train staff to protect patient's confidentiality. I certainly don't want other patients or people seeing my father's or other patients information. I didn't even know their names, and they didn't know mine either. Sad.

I was greeted upon entering the office. Told them I had an appointment that morning at 9:30 am to drop off my car, the woman in the front checked their system, informed me of the diagnostic fee. Best to call or make an appointment online to drop off your car. The only reason I did not rate 5 star was because I wasn't notify that they were not able to check my car and would be left overnight. In which I had to call the next morning to get an update. I do like the fact that they would call and send out a text message regarding the diagnostic and details of the issues with prices and the estimated fee. In which I was able to approve the repairs online. Also, their communication was great as they would contact me if their was an issue etc. The services were quicker than expected. My car was fix within 3 days. Everything went well as expected!

Summary: [Poor communication] [Missed basic battery drain cause] [Week-long vehicle hold with no…read moreanswer] [Failed diagnostic tests] Details: I took in my 2021 Ford Mustang to Auto Tech Service & Repair because my battery kept dying. I asked for a diagnostic test and specifically told the receptionist to make sure the technician ran the test with my dash cam and iPhone chargers unplugged (I had some suspicions) -- which is super basic common sense when diagnosing a parasitic battery drain on a car battery. Auto Tech kept my car for 7 days and ultimately told me they couldn't find the issue and that it was likely an electrical problem. They said I should take it to Ford to have a better chance of diagnosing why my battery kept dying. I assumed it must be such a specific issue that only Ford would know, since they held my car for a week and supposedly tried "everything." When I took the car to Ford Elk Grove and paid their $250 diagnostic fee, they identified the problem in a day: my hard-wired dash cam was draining the battery. The Ford service team was actually extremely surprised and embarrassed that this hadn't been caught by an auto technician from Auto Tech Service & Repair. When I called Auto Tech to ask why they missed it, I was told the technician never ran the drain test with the dash cam disconnected. Even if I hadn't mentioned checking the dash cam and chargers (which I did over the phone, though they claim I did not), inspecting any plugged-in electronics is a very basic step when diagnosing a battery drain. - ALSO, I understand that people can make mistakes, but overlooking something this fundamental during a drain test is concerning. I'm sharing this feedback in the hope that the owner and technicians take it as a learning opportunity and make sure that battery drain diagnostics are performed the way other shops do it. Room for improvement: Communication was also extremely poor. Updates were silent throughout the day, and most of the time I had to call them myself to find out what was going on with my car. If your shop says "I will check with the technicians and call you back" please call back... Overall, I appreciate that they didn't charge me, but the lack of thorough diagnostics from an auto tech shop and the poor communication ended up costing me far more in time, week long car rental fees, and a second diagnostic at an expensive dealer.
