Bomb and hella flavor! Espically to be cooked inside a food truck?? SOME RIBS? Ouweeee . wait a little long but definitely worth it!!

Came here on a late night around 8:30 PM on a Wednesday and there was no line, but they did tell us that they were short on burgers. Good thing though, we were going there for the ribs, as it seems to be one of the main food items they have. Starting off, the service is 10 out of 10. It was our first time coming here and we were greeted nicely. It's a small food truck and I believe they have a partnership with the bar right behind them. We asked them where to eat and they said feel free to just walk into the bar and eat there. Be prepared to buy a drink or something at the bar to support them as well. The ribs were great -- they were nice and charred, sticky ribs, not drenched in any barbecue sauce. They were pretty flavorful with that charred, cooked flavor. The quantity of food is plenty; they even warned us because we ordered two orders with fries and tater tots, and they were right that it would be a lot of food. The pictures don't look like it, but it's extremely filling. I think you could easily go with just two ribs and one side order for two people. The ambiance is meant for a dive bar type of setting since that's the eating area. If you're into that kind of vibe, I think this is the go-to spot for you. Not sure it's ideal for families since the eating area is a bar, but it might be a good quick spot in the daytime. At nighttime, there seems to be a lot more adults drinking and chatting around in the bar. Food price was a bit high, but I think that's expected in Waikiki -- that's why I'm still giving it five stars, plus the food quantity was plenty and we had a lot left over. Their service is amazing; they were delivering the food to us while we were seated, and even though they said the food would take a bit longer to cook since we were arriving late, it still arrived pretty quickly. Overall, would come here again if I'm craving some barbecue. read more

It's a symbiotic relationship between the food truck and the bar outside of which it is parked. So you can order food and get a drink while you wait for it in the bar. I just got a pineapple juice while waiting for my burger and fries. The Service was good. Ty brought my burger in when it was ready. I'm not sure it scales well but... whatever. The food, however, was mediocre at best. The burger wasn't smashed. The fries were hot but fairly tasteless despite the sprinkle of seasoning on them. A challenge to find- but worth it. Nice folks that run the food cart. I had barbecue ribs and fries and could not eat it all. I could have shared the five meaty ribs and fries with another person. The last time I was at Suzy's, it smelled so good but I wasn't hungry. So I vowed to come here the next time I was in town. Not having an idea of what to do for dinner, I walked over since I was staying close. There's a nice uncomplicated selection and I chose the Western BBQ bacon cheeseburger, and for a $1 more, you can update your fries to tots or mozzarella sticks...of course I had to have the mozzarella...and these were fried perfectly so that they were melted on the inside but it wasn't like biting into lava. I got both marinara and ranch to dip them in. I should've ordered more....sooooo good! The burger was delicious!!! Perfect smashed burger, tangy bbq sauce, crispy bacon and that melted cheese...all on a soft bun! I really want to have another before leaving! The workers are super friendly! On a recent outing to Suzie Wong's I was hungry and Ty's BBq is right in front. Taco Tuesday! 4 street tacos for 10$ in Waikiki? Very affordable and the tacos were delicious!!! TY's and Suzie Wongs have a wonderful symbiotic relationship where you have a solid food truck parked right outside an amazing bar. We ordered tacos and sat inside Suzies for some beers. They delivered the Tacos right to us at the bar. The tacos were delicious and tasty and did I mention such an amazing deal! Next time I'd love try try their Birria tacos and sample the ribs and burgers. The service was amazing they are super friendly and know their regulars. It's a food truck parked outside of a restaurant so, no seating available, and there aren't any noticeable signs showing the business name. It was actually kind of humorous that we walked right past it twice till I decided to call standing maybe 20 feet away. The guy running the place could see me and over the phone asked me to turn around and walk straight back towards him lol. He was nice and helpful with the menu options; which we were expecting more of. My husband was disappointed in the rib plate option bc apparently it comes with 3 ribs and a large amount of fries. OMGosh....Awesome Food. We had the BBQ Ribs with tater tots and the Patty Melt Sandwich with extra onions. Both were soooooo good! I won't eat BBQ ribs in a restaurant because no one makes baby back ribs like my husband. After reading all of the reviews I took a chance....oh my! Don't tell my hubby but Ty's BBQ ribs are a tad bit better. I think it's his homemade BBQ sauce recipe. Don't hesitate to eat ANYTHING at Ty's BBQ and Grill. We happened upon this place by accident and we are so glad that we did! While we were waiting for our hotel room to be ready, we stopped at a local bar to watch a football game. Since the bar didn't have any food, the bartender recommended this food truck. I'm so glad we listened to her. We got the steak sandwich and the ribs. Honestly, it was probably the best cheesesteak I've ever had and it came with a mountain of tater tots, which were perfectly cooked and crispy. My friends and I decided to swing by for dinner. When we showed up they warned us that since we were a bigger group (5) it would be a little bit and asked if we were okay leaving a number. They asked us if we had any food allergies, which I was shocked by, and were extremely kind. As we ordered they engaged us in conversation and over all were just so kind and attentive to our orders. Here's the thing man. I walked to this place (which is a food truck) which meant my tator tots and fries stayed in the box and were steaming for over 30 minutes. But when I bit into that Busta???? *pure crisp* perfectly salted, like a temperamental but emotionally intelligent father. I also had a Dakine burger with bacon and the ribs. The burger? great. delicious. the bacon had that crispety crunch - daym drops. but the highlight? the ribs. Boy that flavor???? sweet. savory. pull off the bone with ease. and that fat on the corner pieces? hoo boy, I can only imagine it's what a wet dream tastes like. this man putting SpongeBob to shame in the fry cook department. irrelevant but the cooks are so chill. they kept apologizing for how long the wait was but it wasn't even that bad and he was such a homie about it the entire time.
