Kedron Tire said we could bring in the vehicle for same-day service. Another advantage they have is that it is within easy golf cart driving and we could even walk it one-way for drop off or pick up, if necessary. We dropped it off at lunchtime and asked for an oil change, tire rotation, and a battery check. They provided an estimate for a new battery in case it was needed. Around 3:30 p.m. they called to say that the vehicle was ready for pick-up. We stopped by just before 5 p.m. They confirmed that the battery was, in fact, almost dead and provided some diagnostic stats to justify the replacement. Pricing wasn't unreasonable. I appreciated the ease and promptness of the whole service experience here.

Having relocated, I was overdue for service, so I made a same-day appointment for a weekday afternoon. I arrived and was checked in promptly. After about 20+ minutes, they called me back to the counter to advise that I needed an alignment. The price wasn't outrageous and given the amount of driving I'd done (since any prior alignment), I agreed. Other customers came in and a trend developed. They seemed to be pushing alignments to almost everyone. It got so prevalent that another customer who was waiting walked back up to challenge them about it and whether he actually needed one. Again, I didn't feel like I was necessarily being taken advantage of, but it was increasingly suspect given the % of recommendations. OTOH, the truck's performance seemed better after the service. Their WiFi in the waiting area was fairly low-bandwidth, but I was able to get by with it. I wouldn't want to depend on it for many hours though (I had to wait about 90 minutes). For my next service appointment, I will probably shop around more and try out either a different Kauffman outlet or some independent garage for comparison.

I did not leave here until 2:33pm. I will never ever go here on a Saturday and esp, not without an online appointment.
