I'm not sure why they have issues with kids paying for retail, my kids said the policy is they can't buy anything unless a parent is there.. What a great store with awesome employees, unlike Buckle which we went too prior to coming to Tyler's. It was so great to be greeted when we walked in and able to look around without being stalked and pushed to by something. My kids wanted to look at some shoes, and they had a wonderful variety. Alex was delightful and patient as my daughter wanted to try on so many different pairs of shoes. While we didn't find the perfect shoe it was a breath of fresh air to not feel pushed to buy something. Tyler's will definitely be revisited. read more

Great selection, horrible staff and service. I've given this store several opportunities to change my mind, but their staff is juvenile, less-than-knowledgable, and down right inept at serving their customers. Having to wait in line for the only register open when there are several employees chatting about their personal lives just so I can ask a question isn't my idea of a well-run store. I actually had an employee dig in the plastic drawer labelled "dirty socks" and hand a pair to me. His shock at my, "No thanks!" was uncouth to say the least. And when I spend $100 on a pair of athletic shoes, I certainly don't expect the price sticker to be an address label that won't come up without ruining the shoe by leaving adhesive behind. That's a big fat FAIL! I'd rather give my business to anyone else, even if it means a bit more of a drive. read more

I have been here quite a few times, each time I left disappointed. Don't get me wrong, there's a very great selection. The staff is TERRIBLE one in particular, (didn't get her name) was incredibly rude. I had no idea she even worked there. I thought as a Tyler's employee you were suppose to wear a Tyler's shirt? She was wearing a racquet and jog t shirt. She rang us up very rudely, unprofessional, acted like a teenager. I mean, you'd think in southlake where people are dropping major cash people would be alittle more respectful. With that said, I won't be coming back to purchase anything. I had never been here before until today and I love this place. Unique in that this is a boutique sports wear outfit, but when I asked a few questions about the inventory, the manager was very knowledgeable and friendly. In fact, I felt the entire staff was very friendly. What I really liked was the Tyler's t-shirts in all different colors. Their selection of clothes for the whole family makes this a great one stop shop. They have a large selection of Toms, which is great if you are looking for a shoe that also donates a pair to those in need. I also like the selection of colors on their running shorts, great patterns from tie dye to camo. For the guys they have brands like Hurley, RVE, Volcom, and more. Great selection for the ladies of Roxy, UGG and more. Enjoyed this place very much! read more

Had a horrible experience working here. As a former employee I encourage everyone to not shop here. Don't waste your money. The managers suck and the employees could honestly care less. All of the employees are a bunch of stuck up teenagers. I'm not sure if one of the managers still works here but Lindsay is the worst manager here. She told me I needed to have more customer service to get more hours when I spent 3 1/2 years in retail at Great Wolf Lodge. One day I was having my phone in my pocket I'm a type one diabetic and one of the managers looks down at my shorts and asks what was in my pocket. I've told them many times I am a diabetic and I like to keep my phone on me at all times incase something were to happen and I couldn't go down to my locker to get my phone. The manager yelled at me for even having it in my pocket when I'm sure EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYEE has their phone in their pockets. Also the pay was absolutely terrible $8.20 an hour just for folding shirts and cleaning out the dressing rooms? I've had better pay than that. They barely scheduled me and there is one week where they didn't schedule me at all. I went to the managers and complained but they didn't do anything. Managers are lazy as hell and they barely want to do anything. If you're looking for a job here I would definitely apply to some place better. If you're a customer I wouldn't waste my money here. If I could give this place 0 stars I would if yelp allowed me to. read more

Tyler's is my favorite store! The employees are always kind and welcoming. For me it's one of the stores where you know you'll find something cute. It's just 10 minutes away from my house making it an easy location to access! It also has lots of my other favorite stores in the same shopping center. The absolute worst customer service!!! I quit going here long ago when I discovered Whole Earth's amazing approach to being customer centric. They are a true gem and hire very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Unfortunately they were out of the Birkenstock size I needed before the holiday so ventured next door to Tyler's and uh nothing has changed. Greeted by nobody of course. They were at least 7 teenage associates standing around in the shoe department as I waived my display shoe eagerly hoping to get their attention. Then I just said out loud "this place offers the absolute worst service of any retail establishment" my teenager was with me and she was not the least bit embarrassed by me but rather in complete agreement. Know what happened next?! The associates looked at me, shrugged their shoulders and walked away. Except for one boy he actually said; "I totally agree with you, this place is horrible. I just like to take a break and listen to music in my car we don't like working here!" They do have a good assortment of merchandise but to much competition to offer zero service. I don't think they'll survive long term. read more

Honestly the staff here was just rude, from someone who works in retail as well, I know both sides. I have never been to a tyler's but they are very popular so I wanted to see what they were about I walk in and I didnt expect people to give me tour but I had 3 employees look right at me and the go back to folding clothes, okey fine you know, maybe they really needed to focus on getting more of their stock out on the floor or something. So I walked around the store looking at all the great section of north face and Patagonia (they really do have a good selection) eventually making my way to shoes......Really was interested in some nikes but again after holding them tossing them around, looking around, still no one. Really cool concept.... All kinds of cool/active/stylish gear for children-adult.... They do kinda let you sit and rot in line while they are folding clothes instead of running a register which is just poor coaching by mgmt... 19 year olds won't "get it" unless they are taught... Surprising there isn't a retail wizard GM demanding service that their products and the clientele they serve demand... Tighten it up Tyler's... You have great stuff...but you are going to PISS OFF the people dropping real coin in there for their kids...and we could easily go to Nordstrom. Hopefully your owner reads these posts... read more

So disappointed I came in with my dragon coupons ($10.00 off) a $50 purchase. In the past they let me use multiple coupons for bigger ticket items per $50. Well I came in to buy a yeti and the manager was right out RUDE! Ok your policy has changed cool, you going to lose a $400... Doesn't make sense. No need to be rude to me. Just trying to save some money! Thanks lady for making me feel like crap! And I won't be shopping at your store ever again! Friendly staff, young and full of pepp. Prices are a bit higher compared to other sports wear stores. But Tyler's is Tyler's and if you like the name brand its all good. Tyler's self brand t shirts are always trendy and cool. read more

Upon entry we were greeted by a charming gentleman. Everything in the store was show cased very well and neatly organized. They had a great selection of surfer-esque apparel for the whole family. They had a wide variety of sandals, board shorts, super cute beach-y dresses, and adorable toddler/kid clothing- including rainbow sandals for infants and toddlers which I didn't even know they made that small. The store was well-lit and super trendy. I felt cool just being there. Although some of the brand reps looked miserable being there, during my experience, my husband and I were asked multiple times if we needed assistance and if we were finding everything alright. The reason for the 2 stars unfortunately, were the prices. While pretty and hip, this place was rip-off central. You could find the same RVCA, billabong, Volcom apparel online at Nordstroms for half the price. Maybe we'd go back if they were having a sale, but until then, I'm going to get my stuff online. read more
