I'll admit that this is the only New Balance store that I have ever shopped at so I can't compare it to any of the other locations. But, this particular one has the capacity to carry a multitude of designs and sizes as well as some clothing and accessories so I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything by not shopping online. The employees here are friendly and eager to help without being pushy. And, there are always plenty of them around so there isn't a long wait for assistance. As far as the shoes themselves, they are top notch. Seriously, they will endure all kinds of abuse yet somehow not show much wear and tear- as my child has demonstrated repeatedly! They may not be as flashy as some of the other brands of sneakers, especially when it comes to kids' styles, but personally, I would trade comfort and durability over looks any day. Of course this kind of quality does come at a price, however, not having to replace them frequently makes it worth the money. read more

I stopped in the New Balance store to get some walking shoes, as it had been quite a few years since I had been fitted. I was greeted promptly after entering the store, and the young man who helped me listened and then had me step on a machine that analyzes the feet. He confirmed my size, then brought out some for me to try. We determined a half size larger was needed, but the color I wanted wasn't available in that size. So he called the Fort Worth store and determined that they had the blue shoes in my size. As it turned out, the manager of the store was going to be driving over to the FW store the next morning and could grab those shoes for me. I was thrilled, so I went ahead and bought the shoes. Sure enough, the next morning, I got a call that the shoes were at the Southlake store and ready for me to pick up. When I picked them up, my new shoes were just as pretty and cool looking as I had hoped. This was such an easy, smooth experience. Wow. What great customer service. When I buy tennis shoes, I don't think about outstanding customer service and support. They are just shoes, right? However, that is exactly what I got. I'm in sales myself and often times I am more disappointed than anything. Jerry greeted me right away gave me a few minutes to look around and we talked about some different shoes. He grabbed a very "high-end" shoe and a "middle of the pack" shoe and put the less expensive shoe on first and said here's what to expect; it's a regular old every day shoe. Then he pulled out the higher-end one. I tried it on the other foot was floored by how well it felt. Also the fact it was made in the USA; Boston area versus somewhere abroad. I ended up buying two pairs of the expensive shoe and feel like I got my moneys worth before I waked out of the store. I am very impressed with this store. My foot surgeon had recommended them to help me find the best shoes for my foot and knee issues. I went in before I had my foot surgery and was helped to pick out some shoes. I wasn't able to wear them for a few months due to surgery and realized once I could wear them that the fit wasn't right. I called the store and they told me to come in so they could take a look. I went in expecting to have to buy a new pair if the tying options they tried didn't work since I was past their normal return period. I was pleasantly surprised when not only did they take their time to see if my existing shoes would work but when they didn't they exchanged them for me for a better fitting size. Have had feet problems for last 30 years. I have had ligament tears, broken foot and double foot surgery for planter fasciitis and bone spurs in last 2 year. I have bought countless shoes for my const pain, my podiatrists sending me there was the best thing ever. The store employees worked with me and I had no problem even returning a couple of pairs that did not work for my issues. I will continue shopping with them. read more

I have been buying shoes here since 2012. I have also bought pairs for my elderly parents. Recently I was diagnosed with arthritis, cysts and a tear in cartilage in my right knee. New Balance are the only shoes that enable me to walk with a good degree of quality of life. I can't get through airports without these!
