Good mechanic. Charges a fair price for work being done. He could use a small area where customers can sit and wait

This is my follow-up review to my original post titled "Reviews Really Do Matter!" First, I…read moreapologize for not posting this last week. I have extensive experience with oil changes, having served as the Maintenance Manager for an Amazon DSP in Milton, overseeing a fleet of over 30 vehicles. Upon arrival, there was one vehicle in the first bay. I pulled up to the second bay and exited my 2004 Toyota Camry, unaware that remaining in the vehicle was an option--a detail the service staff did not mention. While there is a waiting room, it now resembles more of an employee breakroom. I later learned that staying in the vehicle is possible and perhaps preferred. The technician offered to let me pull in the car, but I declined. The oil change was impressively fast--completed within 10-15 minutes, significantly shorter than the typical 30 minutes or more elsewhere. I did, however, have questions about the condition of my oil pan and undercarriage, which were not addressed during the service, though I was already aware of these issues. My only concern was when the technician presented both a cabin and an engine air filter. One was clearly dirty; the other had minimal dust, as I had recently replaced it while changing my wife's blower motor. I instructed the tech to replace only the dirty one, and he agreed. At checkout, he mentioned that, due to the amount I had already spent, he replaced the other filter free of charge. After I left, I checked my receipt and saw that wasn't true. There was a 25% discount applied to the whole ticket, but I was definitely charged for both filters. I'm hoping that after this review, that won't be an issue in the future. I got the full synthetic, and even with the extra filter, it wasn't too bad. Overall, the service was quick and efficient, with minor communication gaps that could be improved.

Stay FAR away from this place. I hate to sound cliché but if you don't know about cars, they are…read moregoing to try and sell you anything they can. I seriously hate places like this because people who don't know any better will get taken advantage of. My husband is a mechanic and did not feel like changing the oil in my truck today so he took it in because it's not much more to get it done by a shop than it is paying for the oil. They did the oil change, and then told him my alternator was bad, by battery was bad, my blinkers didn't work, I needed a new air filter which they went ahead and changed the filter without our consent when he stated clearly from the beginning we want an oil change and nothing more. Which my husband had to reiterate a couple times and told them to take the filter back out, an extra 60$ we did not consent to. This mechanics name was Dakota. None of these things in my truck are bad. As I stated my husband is a mechanic we have a code reader at home and we've replaced the alternator and batteries previously in all the vehicles we own or have owned in the past-we know when something is bad or not working. And we've changed them ourselves. None of these items are cheap either for someone unfamiliar with cars. also fairly ridiculous to say blinkers aren't working when he literally drove it there and super easy to see that they are trying to get money any way they can. Run far away we will continue changing our own oil but you should be ashamed of stealing money from people in the community.

After the man left, they could have easily bad mouthed him, but neither did... they continued to do their paperwork and answer the phone. Well done!! Thank you both for doing a professional and courteous job!

Had my truck towed here for starter replacement, customer service was great for the most part, but…read morethey then informed me to replace my starter it would cost me $550 plus tax for the starter, and after labor looking at $750-800 or more depending on "what they run into". Right off the bat i knew that sounded off, i went to look at starters online and at auto stores and confirmed that the starter for my truck would only be 130ish for a used one, and about 180 for a new one with a lifetime warranty. I get the whole markup they have to do, everyone's gotta make money but 300%?? Furthermore, replacing the starter is not a difficult task i just had it towed to pepboys cause it was at an inconvenient time and i didn't have the tools to do it myself. I ended up borrowing my buddies truck and trailer, he only charged me gas money, purchased the starter myself, and replaced it with the help of my buddy and his tools and we finished in under 20 minutes while we were goofing around. VERY easy fix. Out the door even after diagnostic fees, i only spent $275 as opposed to $800 or maybe more, and learned how to replace a starter. Maybe i'm just crazy but i don't recommend this establishment due to crazy high prices that are plainly just absurd. I encourage you to look into other repair shops prices first or if it's something easier try to do it yourself and you'll save exorbitant amounts of money doing so. No hate, at this point it's just laughable, no way they think they're making 600+ off of me for unscrewing two bolts and screwing them back in on the new starter.
