I went because for the convenience. I left happy and comfortable with the oil change experience. Very accommodating and convenient it was done without any issues. Oil and filter change is no longer an inexpensive maintenance, although if not done and done properly it can become more of an issue of expense later on. I have been a returning customer of the Pace, FL Express Oil shop for over 6 years, largely because the manager, PAUL TODD, is so consistently helpful and trustworthy. I visited the shop today for a routine oil change and complimentary inspection. The person who helped me today was the Assistant Manager, DANNI. She was friendly, well informed about my vehicle and handled the necessary service in an efficient manner. DANNI removed the air filter to show me that it was in good shape and did not require replacement. She made sure that the technicians had completed their tasks correctly, and she explained to me what she would recommend when my next service was due. DANNI was professional and helpful. I had an appt with another place up the street for an oil change and tire rotation, showed up at my appt time and asked if I could drop it off and they would get to it when they could. Having limited time I left wondering what I made an appt for and almost left for my trip with my truck as is but decided to whip into this place to see if they could get me in... in 30 minutes they changed my oil, both fuel filters and rotated my tires, as a walk in! Drive thru oil change! You can sit and relax in your car while your vehicle gets serviced, you do not have to get out of your vehicle at all. They will even show you everything that they will be doing or questioning and you get to watch all of their work. You can come in between services of anything is questionable and they will look over any of the work that has been done. Tuesday's are ladies day so come in to get $5 off. I knew as soon as I drove up that this was a quality operation. I pulled up to the first bay and was quickly greeted by an employee who asked how they could help. I had a couple questions that the gentlemen quickly answered and then off to the oil change. The whole process lasted around 15 minutes and couldn't have been smoother. Given previous experiences at other shops, I expected a handful of pitches on all the additional things I needed done to my car, but that wasn't the case here. They used a no name filter on my truck for starters. My driveway is no longer clean and unmarked by oil drips secondly, after visiting this place. Engine oil from a diesel is worse to remove than gas engines and now I have to deal with that. I removed the skid plate this morning to ensure I didn't have a leak which I didn't and discovered the top of it was completely covered and one part of it still had a pool. Perhaps the EPA should pay them a visit. Needless to say I will not be going back there. read more

I must be sheltered. My experience with speedy oil change places has been marked by attempts to up-sell me crap that I either don't want or don't need, which fritter away my valuable time. This is not the case at Express Oil Change. You drive up, somebody comes out and asks you what you want done. They guide you into a bay and go to work. In a couple of minutes, an employee brings out a clipboard with some paperwork, which you fill out and hand back. Other people are changing your oil while all of this is taking place, and it is pretty speedy. They direct you through some tail/head/brake/turn signal light checks as the oil change is wrapped up, then they present you with a ticket to sign for payment, and you are done. You never have to leave your vehicle. It's sort of like NASCAR, but you have to pay instead of being paid. I like this concept. I don't think that they topped off the windshield washer fluid, like other places that I've been, but they might have while I was distracted doing other stuff. It would be a snap to hit a drive-thru and eat your lunch in your seat while they change your oil...proper maintenance is important. Give it a go! read more

I'd give it a zero but it's not an option. Went for an oil change which usually takes 10-15 minutes. After 20 minutes, was told they couldn't get my drain plug off due to it being stripped. Whoever the manger was told me that them stripping my drain plug was not their issue. Told me he could get me an estimate to do a whole bunch of work to fix the issue they caused. I had gotten an oil change at Pep Boys the time prior. Was told it was PepBoys problem because they tightened it to tight, causing them to strip the head. I was then sent away after them working on it for an hour. I took it to Pep Boys who fixed it within minutes. I've been going to Express Oil for 4 years but they've just lost my business with their poor attitude and customer service. read more

High quality customer, and as the name entails, "express" service is what sets this place apart; hands down this is the best place for an oil change in the area - it is a place I would be comfortable sending the wife and kids. They guide you into the bays, assist you in your need, walk you through what they are checking and offer their expert opinions on other potential issues. For example, on my last visit, they informed me I needed front tires soon but my back tires were okay, which was probably due to lack of rotation. Guess what? They were spot on in regards to the lack of rotation and they didn't try and sell me on anything, just gave me the information I needed and got me back on the road. Bottom line, its a friendly, efficient oil change. Does it cost a bit more than your typical Wall-Mart, yes; but you get what you pay for - in most circumstances in life. read more

We were told that the radiator and an oil gasket needed to be replaced. 950$ later, we picked up the car and found that the AC no longer worked despite it working just fine when we dropped it off. We took it back in to Express the next day, and they said the compressor was bad and gave us an estimate for 750$. The vehicle then started stalling when stopped at lights, so we had it towed to a different shop. They said the stalling was due to the compressor straining the engine, and recommended replacing it. But both the new shop and the towing company told us that Express had a bad reputation for breaking things or not connecting things when finishing service. It's awfully coincidental that the compressor, which would have had to be moved or worked around for the radiator replacement, stopped working AT THE SHOP. But whatever, I definitely wanted to spend an extra thousand this week on the car. Don't go here. Take your business anywhere else. read more

They were extremely quick and helpful as I drove up, they directed me to drive into the mechanic bay, and Tommy began working under my hood as another mechanic prepared for the oil change in the area below the car. Everything that was done was explained to me, and they gave me a heads up that my tires and windshield wipers needed to be replaced soon - but they did not push it, merely suggested.. This is a very unique, customer-centered concept of customized, fast service- I never had to get out of the vehicle and they were done in 10 minutes like they said they would be. The Express Oil shop at E. Spencerfield & Hwy 90 in Pace, Fl is The BEST svc center EVER! The nicest staff who goes out of their way for their way for their customers. Had a blow out & got as close to shop as possible & set out for help. They got my car, put on spare & found closest place that had the correct tire.
