Text messages sent regarding missed appointment time for the rescheduled appointment on 4/5/2021. Please see time stamps inquiring ETA.
    Kat N.

TLDR: They no called no showed the first time, and were over an hour late for the rescheduled appointment, and promised to e-mail a revised quote the day after, but no follow through. Unreliable with attendance, timelines, and communication. This will be relatively lengthy, and I will try to be fair to both sides. If you have questions please reach out. I'd love to help out in any way that I can. If you're looking for a fair price, then of course I understand. My neighbor originally had their roof and gutters serviced by them and said it was a decent price, but they had to reschedule multiple times. For me, personally, customer service and quality is really important, because I like retaining good business for reoccurring services or future recommendations. I called them about two weeks ago and scheduled an appointment for an estimate at 9/10 AM on 3/29/2021. No call no show. I called the office later in the afternoon and they let me know they put me down for the wrong date. No biggie, mistakes happen. We then rescheduled for the following week 4/5/2021 at 9 AM. They messaged me at 8:47 AM to ask for the address. I had already provided this to the office so it made me nervous to give it out via text, but I called to confirm the address and we got that sorted out. 9 AM rolls around, no show, 9:15 - no show, 9:20 AM - no show, 9:30 AM - no show. I called at 9:30 AM, and the office lady said he's around the corner and will be there in two minutes. 9:40 AM - no show. I called back, no answer. I left a voicemail the second time I called. The office called back and said they don't know where he is. He's the supervisor and should be there by now. So we made an arrangement for a new time since they could not get a hold of him. I'm assuming the office folks are the owners. They said they were coming down from Roseville and will do the estimate themselves at 10:45 AM. 10:12 AM - the original person showed up, and I swear I am not making this up in any way, shape, or form. When I asked why he was so late, because our appointment was at 9 AM, here is his answer, "A buddy of mine was in town so we met up for a bit. I haven't seen him in awhile." Again, I swear I'm not lying. In all honesty, I just feel bad for the office folks/owners. They seem really nice, but this definitely appears to be a reoccurring issue with other customers. At the end of the day it could hurt the growth of their business. They were very sweet and warm to interact with and with that kind of energy, it gives so much potential for businesses to thrive. And again, the lady I spoke to was always nice and never curt with me at all. The office folks (which I think are the owners) are incredibly sweet. Every time I talked to them it felt like I was interacting with family, and to to me, that felt good. The only other thing I will say is that when the original guy who came out to do the estimate was explaining his side... it truly felt like his friend needed him (for personal reasons), and I felt bad for his situation, because he was just trying to be a good friend to his friend. I get stuff happens and it's not easy, but I let him know he could have let the office folks know or given me a call and explain to reschedule. I would have understood. The office folks/owners and I reconnected afterwards and I filled her in. She was very apologetic and my heart goes out to her and her team. She offered to give us a discount - which was incredibly sweet since we didn't ask for one. She promised to get a revised estimate out to me by the following day (4/6/2021), but I haven't received anything. Although we told her no rush, given recent events and the lack of organization and consistency, we decided to go with another local family-owned business. If anyone is interested in the new business, they were 100% on time to show up for the appointment, and they quoted us for the same job but about $600 less. Please message me if you would like more information. I hope to have a review for the other business when they complete the job sometime at the end of May. Anyways, I have attached screenshots of phone calls and text messages for time stamps. I know that with Yelp sometimes reviews are mixed so I want to be as informative as possible without too much negativity. I hope this was able to help anyone with their selection for gutter installation. I'm sure if you can get pass the estimate and possible communication hiccups, the service might be a different story, but unfortunately for us, that's where we stopped. No hard feelings for this business, it just wasn't a good fit for our needs. We still wish them all the best.

I wanted to use my previous roofer who did the other half but he went completely dark on me, so I found 5 Star Roofing. Before the job: Michael came out quickly to provide the bid which was competitive and clearly explained the process. He was able to schedule me in quicker than the competition and provided excellent communication before the work started. During the job: His team arrived on time each day, did excellent work, and were even able to match the color of the other half of the roof exactly. Each day, Michael came by to check on the work and answer my questions. Jenn, the office/project manager emailed each day as well. The crew cleaned up after themselves and made minimal disturbance while they worked. Josh even came out the next week to do some additional work we requested. Final results: We could not be happier. The work looks great and seamlessly matches the other half. Thank you 5 Star Roofing!

Alas, on the scheduled day and time, nobody showed up, and nobody contacted me. I called the office, and Jada said my job was not on their calendar. After she gave me multiple excuses for why Brian failed to show up "for my estimate", it was clear that they had scheduled another estimate and not the actual repair work, and then they didn't even show up for that. I would not recommend using this company.

Shortly after completion, we experienced a significant leak near the chimney during a controlled water test. We repeatedly asked for photo/video documentation of the original water testing and requested a controlled retest after additional sealant was applied to the flashing and chimney areas. This was never provided. Because sealant was added after the initial test, it became impossible to determine how the flashing system performed in its original installed condition. Despite our requests for a documented and isolated testing process, the issue was attributed solely to stucco and chase cap conditions without verification of the flashing work included in our contract. Communication became increasingly dismissive when we asked reasonable, technical questions about how the leak source was isolated and verified, and the matter was pushed toward final inspection without the testing we requested. We also had concerns about billing transparency during dry rot repairs. We had to repeatedly request documentation showing where repairs were made, how many hours were spent on new work versus items already included in the original contract, and how labor time was calculated (including delivery and travel time billed at the same rate as on-site repair work). The initial invoices and explanations were vague, and only after multiple follow-ups did we receive partial clarification and a small credit for duplicated labor hours. While the company was responsive in replying to emails, we were left to identify gaps in documentation, testing, and billing ourselves rather than being provided clear, proactive transparency. Based on our experience, we strongly recommend that future customers insist on detailed documentation, clear labor breakdowns, and controlled verification testing when leak diagnosis or change-order billing is involved.

**Above and beyond roofing work -- highly recommend!**…read more Jason Hope, Cris Espinoza, and Tommy did an outstanding job on our roof. They set clear expectations from the start and communicated well throughout the entire project. They worked hard and were completely responsible and accountable. At one point they accidentally broke a skylight, but instead of cutting corners, they went above and beyond to get it repaired properly and made it right. They also cleaned up thoroughly after every single day of work, which we really appreciated. The finished roof looks even better than it did before. I also want to recognize Jose and Adrian. When the inspector required additional work on the roof, Jose took the time to clearly explain the cost differences so we knew exactly what we were paying for and why. I had a lot of questions about the cost breakdown for the sheeting, and it was pretty confusing to me, but Jose was so patient and kept explaining it different ways until it finally clicked. Adrian set us up with our initial consultation and spent over an hour working through pricing with us to get us a great deal. He respected my budget and kept it at the forefront the whole time, which made me feel truly seen and heard. Anytime I had a question or needed help with financing, he was there for me. This whole team was trustworthy, detail-oriented, and easy to work with from the first consultation to the final walkthrough. Highly recommend!!!

I have done a lot of work over the years and am happy to say that if you live in this area, he is your guy. He was fair and honest from the get go. The price he gives you is the price you will pay. I never received any surprise "change orders". As contractors go, Omar was VERY open and communicative. No problems ever getting him or his crew on the phone. He had great suggestions on all things we discussed. Always seemed to know a lot about his work and various things people like. The project was a big one, and I am super happy with how fast it went. He even got started for us over Thanksgiving and Xmas, and his crew would show up on Saturday or Sunday sometimes to keep on working (which was fine with us!). There were no subcontractors involved... everything was through Noor Construction. If we had any minor issues that needed correcting, Omar would come and look at it and tell his crew what to do. We really appreciate the details, crown molding and trim was superbly done, and the tile was just amazing, we are very impressed with his team. I mean seriously anyone who has attempted to do crown molding in the past knows what I am talking about. For details if you've made it this far, our story: Where shall I start. I suppose we start with the idea: build a bedroom in the second floor space of our "great room" which has really tall ceilings... like 30 feet plus. So basically add a bedroom in the second story "empty space" above the first floor. Easy right? Well, after getting ghosted by several contractors, I finally called Omar. He informed he thought we were probably getting ghosted because the architect had told him that footings were needed to support this new bedroom which would be sort of like an island in the middle of the house. We live on a hill, so these support columns would have to go through the first floor, basement, and then under the house. This added to the cost, but we really wanted a bedroom in that space. Omar gave me a price. I told him no thanks, my wife and I thought well maybe we changed our mind as the cost came in higher with the footing work. After a few weeks, we talked it over, changed our minds. We really needed the bedroom. I called him, thinking "gosh he probably won't want our work". Omar came back, no change in price, same deal as before, he didn't even bat an eye, he was ready to go, and this was like 4 weeks later after I told him no. So yea, it was project that I was told was too much for people, everyone didn't want to go get permits or deal with the footings... Omar told us what to expect and stuck to the plan. He dealt with the County and the inspector always came and said even himself "these guys know what they are doing". We passed all inspections. Omar even was super flexible about adding things to the project as we went along, as you know I get ideas about what I might want, we added some carpeting and shelving, and additional tile work that he added at no additional cost to him. He really just knows what he is doing and is super on top of things. So go with Noor Construction if you have the chance, you won't regret it!
