Annie the GM needs a little basic training in restaurant mgt, service principles and promotion. Despite that the waitress gave us good service, there are good people here, good views but the good is spoiled by an anemic salad bar with stale bread. Slow on a Sunday late October and the lack of music makes it feel spooky/dead. Food was fair and the bourbon made things better. Cover the bread put on some music and never ever close the option of drinks from the bar. Start doing promotions to bring in the locals. We've come here at least once on a fall Sunday every year for 30 years and I've never seen it so slow. Sad. Marketing needed for a turnaround.

I can honestly say I eat here just about every single day. There's a lunch buffet every day and a dinner buffet on the weekends and whenever there's a lot of people booked any particular night. They've started running specials most nights when there isn't a buffet and that's a nice addition to the regular menu. Everything is usually excellent and decently priced.

Another Kentucky park that we visited that has really good food. I had the popcorn shrimp and my wife had the catfish. Two sides each came with the meal. Friendly service and good prices. We carried out our meals due to Covid. Both entrees were fried perfectly. Icedtea was fresh. Fantastic dining room that was spacious and fits perfectly with the State Park. Really clean. Enjoyed our meals. A gem in the woods.

Desserts are always a good ending.

Took a beautiful ride with our motorcycle group for lunch. We all purchased the buffet since it was reasonably priced at $13.99. Fried chicken, catfish, brisket were the main items along with #macncheese, green beans, and california blend. Beans and cornbread were another option as well as a dessert bar. Food was good but not great and service was friendly and fun. I'd go again if in the area but not make a special trip.

The views here are lovely, but the food is nothing to write home about. I had the hot brown. I always enjoy when they put ham in a hot brown, but I wish the hot brown was hot. It was warm. Also they put ham on one side and turkey on the other. I wish it would've been spread out. The fries were terrible. There was no buffet today. Service was fine.

The food was pretty sad. The service was not very good. Next time I go to the park I'll bring my own food.

In the morning there was a little fog over the Ohio which made for a nice atmosphere. The atmosphere is typical casual for a Riverside type of restaurant. The wait staff was very nice and efficient. For supper most of us had the fish special which was either catfish or whitefish. The catfish was very good but the white fish was a little undercooked and somewhat mushy. The Johnny cakes cornbread were cold and not great flavor. So the supper was good but not great. For breakfast most of us had eggs bacon toast pancakes and coffee. The eggs were cooked as ordered, the bacon was crispy, and the pancakes were superb. I eat mine without any butter or syrup and they had an excellent flavor despite the lack of those extras. We tried an order of goetta as most in our group had never tasted it before. I don't really like it but I liked their version. For those who don't know goetta is a combination of beef pork spices and oatmeal that is cooked like a flat sausage patty and is very popular in the Cincinnati area. We were two full to try the desserts but they look pretty good. The price for what you get was very good as well. We would definitely go here again if we are back in the area.

I had visited before, but it was probably in the last millennium. No, seriously. For a recent weekend, we wanted to treat a family member to a birthday, their choice. They chose Our Best, and I was curious to check the place out again. We were greeted with a smile when we walked in the door, and seated immediately. Our server came over promptly and took our drink orders. We also placed an order for the fried pickles. I had a hard time choosing what I wanted for my main meal: the country chicken looked great, salmon was tempting, meatloaf sounded filling on a cold day, and even the fried chicken was appealing. I went with a very classic combo of meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green beans. The fried pickles were plenty flavorful even without the dipping sauce, and our main course was promptly delivered. I was starving and forgot to take a photo, and I quickly ate the meatloaf meal. Like I said: simple but cooked very well and with great flavors. I ended up devouring the whole meal in short order. Other people in my party got the bluegill platter and the kids cheeseburger. Every plate ended up clean. All 6 of us ate for under $100, which is unheard of these days. Throughout the meal, our server Michelle took great care of us and made sure we had everything we needed. Worth the drive from Louisville, I think you'll find that Our Best lives up to the hype!

This place is insanely busy at certain times of the day and more so on weekends, but the food is exceptionally tasty and well priced so it's worth the wait. Very casual atmosphere with old photos and antiques located throughout which creates a true farmhouse ambiance. It's located in a small town and everybody knows everybody...people come here to enjoy good food and good conversations. This was our first trip and I can hardly wait to return again soon because the menu has many options for entrees and sides along with a host of desserts.

The restaurant was clean and modern and had a great menu selection. The kids meals are $8 and come with a drink and side. I liked that they were really food just kids size versions. It is located in a Kroger strip mall area but is slightly higher class than what one might think when they hear that. It was a weird off-peak time so it was no issue getting seated right away and service was pretty good. We started our late lunch and our vacation with a cocktail, both of which were pretty tasty! I wanted to make sure I got some veggies in me before a week+ of vacation eating, so I got a side salad, which was pretty ample for a side! I also got the mushroom ricotta dip appetizer as a "meal" and it was pretty delicious! Cheese, mushrooms and carbs...you can't go wrong with that in my opinion! We had an okay time, and we were able to dawdle and not be rushed. It wasn't our first choice on the day and likely wouldn't be at another time, but it was more than decent as a secondary/back-up choice for a place to eat.
