I've been to Two Rivers Grill twice so far - once recently and once two years ago. The food is excellent, and the service is awesome too! I love the vibes of the restaurant, and it's awesome that there's an outdoor deck to sit on too. First of all, the food is great! I haven't had a bad bite at Two Rivers. During both visits, my family had the pork chop, and both times it was amazing. So juicy and tender! The prime rib is also delicious, and I love the fresh grated horseradish. The halibut was amazing as well, and the marion berry cobbler was awesome. The crust was perfect, and the filling was not too sweet. Top it off with a scoop of ice cream, and our meal was perfection. Like I said, not a bad bite! The service was really great both times, and the owners are so nice! I'm not in the area often, but I'm so glad we made a special trip to eat at Two Rivers Grill again! read more

Very quaint old western feel in a beautiful little town. Our waitress was very personable and her service was excellent. We ordered the onion rings and fried prawns for starters. Both had a good taste. The jelly sauce for the prawns was interesting. Kinda wished it was a cocktail sauce. Starters came out really quick. The sourdough bread was good. My ribeye had a good taste to it. A little tough to cut but a good portion. Offered dessert but did not try. Price was surprisingly a little on the high side. Would return again. read more

Well the service was efficient & friendly, the food was presented nice, & it was a clean place- so I would come again, but I would not make a special trip. They did not have gluten free options (though I was told they sometimes have gluten free buns...) & the lovely freshly cut fries were ruined by the chemically tasting table salt they heavily sprinkled on them before they made it to the table... (We had ordered a side of fries as a table appetizer... instead it came very last... after serving the 2 fish specials & my salad.... Unfortunate... but i hasten to add the good came quickly & seemed decent quality. True, i also had to wait for a to go box... but in fairness to the waiters... they seemed short staffed, & were doing their very best. I suspect in the summer the patio would be fun, or had it been dinner time... the bar/dinner area looked nice... so given the limited dining options in the area... probably one of the better choices. Accessibility Tip: note that the bathrooms r a small, odd layout... a small wheelchair could perhaps wiggle thru... w/assistance & much finessing... someone using a cane could be ok, but a walker user would need assistance per the weird bathrm configuration. Made a dinner reservation for two as we were staying at a nearby cabin. Two Rivers Grill is one of a few places we've had dinner in the Garden Valley area. It may not be fancy, but the food has never disappointed us. Last night was no exception, as my wife's French Onion was the best she could remember. She also enjoyed her halibut, so much that it was gone in no time. It is amazing to have "fresh" sea food in Idaho, especially in the mountains. I ordered their prime rib, and it was cooked to perfection (medium rare). It took me a little longer to finish my meal, but as much as we wanted to order the fresh-baked Marion berry cobbler, we were both stuffed. Two Rivers is a hidden gem, about an hour and a half drive from Boise, Idaho. And they are open Thu-Sun this time of year, possibly more often when the weather warms and more visitors are nearby. read more

This is a great spot, and not what you might expect in a small town. I was here for lunch with a couple of friends. I ordered the prime rib sandwich, which ... as you can see from the image attached here ... was first cut, then grilled. The prime rib was moist, tender and tasty. Also, the thin-cut fries were quite good. A small serving of dipping sauce is also served; that was good too. [I'm adding this as an edit, a day later]: Come to think of it, the fact that the prime rib had been grilled added that certain flavor, normally associated with, say, a grilled steak. The grilling gave the diner (Moi) the best flavors of both worlds, steak and prime rib. Nicely done! I wish they delivered. (Just kidding.) We enjoyed friendly service from a very attentive, young waitress, and the owner/chef came out to say, "Hello" and ask about the food. I always think this is a nice touch for a restaurateur. It is a classy thing to do This place is a "sleeper" and I will probably not be driving through that area any time soon. However, if I do, I will be certain to go in for a meal. read more

If you want to have a wonderful dinner then head into Two Rivers. The food is amazing. We had huge burgers for lunch, cooked just right and we also had dinner, you can't leave without trying the chicken marsala. The French onion soup was delicious. My mother in law had the pork chops with a cherry sauce that she absolutely loved. My father in law had the ribs the he ate clean. Finally, our son had the fettuccine Alfredo which if you know my son...he's a super foodie and he loved it. Overall this place gets an A+. The service was great and the owners are just so welcoming. Wow, what a great surprise! Some friends and I were staying at Terrace Lakes for a weekend getaway. The restaurant there was slammed, and we were hungry, so we headed to Crouch. I had stopped at Two Rivers during motorcycle rides, but never for dinner. Glad we did. Friendly staff, and simple surroundings made for a great meal. I had the pork chop with the cherry/mustard glaze. Delicious. Came with mashed potatoes, and corn. Others had the crab cakes (out of this world good)...homemade not pre made. This place is without a doubt our favorite place to go in the Crouch area. There is such a homey and comforting feeling to the place. We've gone several times and every time we've been blown away. The fish is always flavorful and tasty and you can tell the chef puts his strong homemade effort into everything he can, from pie crust to croutons to homemade butters for topping the fish specials (highly recommend!!!) and even the lovely bread! The servers have always been nice, even if frazzled by the higher effort required peoples who certainly rub off the wrong way as disrespectful towards the servers. But the fact that the chef goes out of his way whenever possible to come out and visit and check in on the food--fantastic! We will always return when we're out here. read more

Often around us we saw other customers being high maintenance and the staff handling their customers well. We thanked the chef and waitress for a lovely experience. Our family of 5 stopped by for dinner after enjoying the hot springs in Lowman. The potato skins with cherry mustard is amazing. Our daughters ended up getting more sauce for their burger and fries. My husband had the salmon special which was cooked perfectly. The service was good and the chef came out to see if we liked the dinner. I hate to admit it, but in a town like Crouch I'm a little weary of the local food options. My boyfriend were in town this weekend for an elk viewing sleigh ride, and this is one of the restaurants the guide recommended to us afterwards. The whole town consists of log-built businesses, which I love. When we walked into Two Rivers, I was not surprised to find the restaurant dark, dingy and a little outdated. The hostess/waitress was friendly, and the head chef was out of the kitchen and welcomed us, as well. It took about 10 minutes to get seated even though the place wasn't too busy, but it looked like there was only one waitress. I had to giggle at our table; it was kind of cheap and the chairs were the kind you'd find in a church built for 500 people, but the table was set nicely and out water cups were wine glasses. Just a funny mix, I suppose :) My boyfriend got the prime rib sandwich and I opted for the croque madame turkey (sp?). It took a while to get our food, but we weren't in a hurry. And, it was worth it! The menu didn't have much to choose from for lunch, so we settled pretty quickly. The fries were pretty standard, slim-cut fries. The prime rib sandwich was just a hunk of prime rib on a slim baguette, which made us laugh. It looked a little red for my taste, but my boyfriend said it was delicious. My sandwich came on the same slim baguette, and was incredibly good! I've never had that kind of sandwich, but I will definitely order it again! The service remained a little lackluster throughout, but she was very nice when we did see her. Overall it was a good place though, and I'll certainly go back when I'm in the area. Good honest "Review"!!! Some people gripe about anything "no gluten free buns or other non-sense"! My family and I went to the winter festival in McCall so we ate out every night. We ate at the Anchor in McCall, the Mill and then finally here on our way home by accident! We all ended up being hungry and I suggested let's try here. So we turned left and went out of our way to try a new restaurant. Every meal, I ordered prime rib over the weekend and did the same at Two Rivers. They had the best tasting, best cut and best price out of all three restaurants! And this was the only restaurant my family cleaned all there plates! My daughter who is 6 is the pickiest eater and pretty much only eats pasta and bread. Well, I'm surprised she didn't lick her plate clean. My son and wife all were very happy with their meals as well. There were only a handful of people in there and the satellite on the TV was glitchy. But we weren't there for the TV. The place was clean and the service was excellent. The staff was extremely family friendly and kept on checking up on us. My rating is based on value for your money and think I unintentionally ate prime rib for a really fair evaluation. Yes, my whole family wants to eat there again!!! And if you are one of those who can't stand to wait, show up earlier or don't go during peak times. This is clearly a small town restaurant and you might have to adjust your expectations and be patient. It's unfair to write a review and expect them to be able to accommodate mass fluctuations in volumes of customers. Yes, sometimes you a have to wait! Fabulous food and just as good of service! One of the best prime ribs I have had. Will be back again next time I'm in Garden Valley.

We had a big party of quite a few people so some of the errors were probably due to that. Got a couple wrong but fixed it in the end. Burgers were a little pink inside and the fries are the shoestring variety. They were almost cold and hard when we got them. Not the best as I prefer thick cut. Would have liked it if they asked how we wanted our burger cooked. The others in the party had mostly the prime rib sandwich which was rare in the middle but they seemed to like it. The salad was not iceburg but the rabbit food greens so many are going to. Cheaper I guess but not good. Very friendly staff and attentive. read more
