Our new home!
Melody A.

Worst moving experience. We were quoted 6-8 hours and were fully prepared to pay the price due to my brother having cancer with chemotherapy. They arrived a little late but no big deal as long as they did a good job. However, they packed the biggest truck 3/4 full and left half the house. Let me be clear, I sold most of the furniture including entertainment center, dining suite, and an ice box. Thanks to their poor moving, my husband and I had to make 3 trailer loads after the fact, from a 3 small bedroom home, and also they unloaded anywhere in my new house which created more stress and work. We should have saved the $800 bucks and paid friends to help. We have family moving here and will choose a different company after contacting them with no compensation at all. I work in a salon environment and word of mouth goes a long way. Don't choose them, get a different company!!!!!!

I can't say enough good things about this company and their employees…read more Setting the appointment was a breeze and the move itself was flawless. Very nice workers, a strong work ethic and good manners. "Yes maam" goes a long way with me. AND the actual cost was significantly less than the quote I agreed to. Firehouse Movers is who I'll call with any future moves.

BEWARE - BAIT-AND-SWITCH PRICING!…read more I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent experience with this company deserves one. I chose Firehouse Movers because of their glowing Google reviews, and their initial estimate was very competitive. Unfortunately, the final bill was a complete shock. To begin with, they insisted on a virtual estimate and refused to come out in person and assess the job. This was a 5000 sq ft home full of furniture, and I wanted the most accurate estimate possible. I asked multiple times for an in-person estimate, but my requests were declined. By moving day, I had sold two-bedroom sets and several other large pieces of furniture that were included in the original estimate. Even with significantly fewer items to move, the final price was more than double the original estimate. On the day of the move, I somehow went from needing two trucks, as stated in the estimate, to four. And from 9 to 17 total man hours. At the end of a long day, my husband just wanted them gone, so he reluctantly paid the bill before they could log anymore hours. When I called to discuss the bill, Firehouse claimed I had verbally approved the additional associated costs over the phone, citing a recording, which was completely false. I have asked multiple times for this recording, but I have not received it. That was not a small miscalculation. Our move was grossly underestimated. This whole experience felt misleading and dishonest. Stay away.

All My Sons Moving & Storage

All Sons Moving truly came to my rescue--not once, but twice--with a very difficult mattress move…read more Doug immediately put me at ease by saying, "I've got you--no worries," even when I made a last-minute SOS call to get the mattress into my apartment and, ultimately, into the bedroom. The cost was higher than I expected, but having the job handled safely and finally completed made it worthwhile. Doug and the team followed through, solved the problem, and got it DONE. I'm very grateful for their help and would recommend them when you need movers who will step up and get the job finished.

absolute trash! I paid $1600 to move 3 bdrm house that was…read morealready packed and wrapped only 0.9 miles away. it took the crew almost 5 ours with 3 guys. it may as well been 2 guys seeing how the 3rd Marley did anything i had to jump in and get things going . when they left we realized they had thrown a price of our decor in the yard as they left instead of bringing it to the door. we then realized a couple months later that half of the parts for the trampoline were never lost in the move. the headache just to get someone to help us figure it out was insane. On the phone all day just to be told yeah we don't know good luck though. you have a better chance hiring someone on Facebook market place rather than paying the ridiculous price to move less than a mile and lose and treat your stuff like trash. I wish they would refund us the money I was given a $260 refund for the 3rd guy being so lazy but id rather a full refund and an apology. SPEND YOUR MONEY SOMEHWERE ELSE! they have gone down hill over the years and I'd expect it to get even worse seeing the quality of service and attention we received. Rent a moving truck you can get it done faster with a friend and do a better Job.

DFW Moving Company

DFW Moving Company

(172 reviews)

Thorough, efficient, highly professional. Would book again if I had to move again!…read more For help moving mostly just my large items (couch, bed, tables, etc) into a third floor elevator-less 1b1b apartment on a hot Texas June morning, Marlin and Gary with DFW moving company were exactly what I was seeking. Workflow: - straightforward online form instead of trying to make a phone call during business hours while at work - email confirmation right after submitting form and again two days prior to the move - as described in their email, on the morning of, I received a phone call within an hour before, informing me that they were on the way - they arrived just before the scheduled time (I was their first move of the day) - I had packed the things I wanted them to move in advance, so I showed them the piles of things I wanted them to move - we signed the contract (all the things I expected + insurance option, with the default basic option as a price per weight reimbursement for any damaged items) - without even having to say much to each other they knew where to start - wrapped all the big furniture in blankets and duct tape - couch cushions were temporarily a little squished as they do during a move, but there were no damages to anything - after the move, I verified that everything had been moved and signed the post-move part of the contract Pros: - perfect workflow for a zellenial who's used to ordering things online and they magically appear - the team understood that my goal was to stay within the 3h, told me it was definitely reasonable, and were ultimately able to accomplish it - paid in cash and exactly as quoted (minus the $75 deposit) with no surprise fees and no extra charge for supplies or gas or stairs

I used this company twice, and this last time, I had a lot of furniture that was damaged. What…read moremakes it worse is that the movers tried to hide the broken parts, so I didn't see it until after they left (and I paid). When I called the office and spoke to Glen, he asked me to send photos of the damage, which I did. Then he ghosted me -- and blocked my number. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY Zero accountability, terrible customer service, and an owner who blocks paying customers when his employees break things. I attached a few pictures of some the items that were damaged. There were more, but the speakers, you can't see the damage -- they just don't work anymore -- and we all saw the mover drop it. And there was also a recliner that was severely damaged. It's a shame when new, bad owners ruin a company. @ Anna -- In response to your comment, I am posting a copy of my reservation confirmation and two of my invoices, with identifying info redacted. And Anna - y'all blocked my number. I've tried calling many, many times.
