    Kimchi dumplings.
    Howard H.

Stopped in for lunch today, take out. Very nice owners and a spotless kitchen, it is fairly new. I had the spicy pork over rice, it was very good but needed the runny egg, my egg was hard. Kimchi dumplings were very good, thin dough and tasty. Big portions, enough for two. We'll be back!

    Seafood Pancake

Been wanting to try this new Long Island Korean place since I usually have to travel far for Korean food. I ordered the soft tofu stew and seafood pancake. Both were delicious and portions were huge! The owners are so friendly and kind people. Very clean spot but not a lot of space for indoor dining. Give this gem a chance!

Spicy Tuna Kimbap, Bulgogi Kimbap, and a qt patootie

Finally a Korean restaurant in Oceanside! Wide menu variety and very friendly owners. We got the spicy tuna and bulgogi kimbap rolls and they were delicious, especially for the price. Will definitely be coming back to try other items.

I am Korean and therefore, am very picky about Korean bbq. I don't generally like all you can eat…read moreKorean bbq places because meat quality and overall taste tend to be subpar. But they are fun to go with a group, especially with non Koreans because they can try a variety of things. I've tried Kpot, Gen BBQ, and Let's Meat and they were all just so so. However Won Kbbq totally exceeded my expectations! WOW! Everything was fantastic- meats, banchans, appetizers, salads, and service!! Really, really solid and awesome. Bulbogi was tender and had the right amount to sweetness. Pork steak was also tender and perfectly seasoned. Brisket was thinly sliced and flavorful. Marinated chicken was also delicious. The servers were so friendly and attentive. They changed out the grill pan after each round of meats. We had a great lunch and will definitely be going back. My non Korean friend said this is her new favorite restaurant. A large parking lot is another huge bonus!

Maybe it was because there were so many birthday celebrations there lol Anyway, the menu includes many items. Most of the meat we ordered were good and the servers were very helpful to cook for us. The kitchen items were just so so. Also, the ventilation wasn't so good. The cooking smoke kept blowing towards my face. I had to switch seats with my husband. If you are in the area and crave for kbbq, that's good. But if you want better kbbq experience, queens has better options.

Been craving to come back here for a while. Wanted to order…read moreeverything on the menus. Service from Steve is always great! We started with the banchan, then meat mandu and fried chicken wings came out. DDUKBOKEE came right after as all our appetizers. JJAMBONG -so big and tasty we had to take togo (sorry forgot to take a picture) HOT STONE BIBIM BAP added Beef - a little bland even with red sauce but still yummy KALBI -very tender & juicy (also forgot to take a picture lol) We had the above entrees to share After dinner we got free Melona melon bars!

First off the name was misleading because I was literally thinking it would be a food court setting…read morebut it is a restaurant, mind you not fancy, but still with wait service. The waitstaff were attentive and helpful. Only complaint about the setting is that every time someone went in or out, a rush of cold air would enter. Try not to sit too close to the door. As far as the food, daughter and I just ordered soon dubu (soft tofu stew) and ddukbokki (spicy rice cakes). We're Korean so flavor profile wise, it seemed to cater to non Korean palates. The soon dubu was not spicy and had too much of a sesame oil flavor and the ddukbokki was sweet with no spiciness at all. I think if you are non Korean, the seasoning was good and the food flavorful, just not the flavors we were expecting. Also, although the menu makes it seem like you have to pay for the banchan (appetizers), we did not, it came with the staple kimchee, and a couple other dishes. Not sure why they had prices on the menu unless they charge for refills? They also gave us this yummy ice cream bite for dessert which is usually unheard of in Korean restaurants. Having said all this, I do want to recommend this place, it was a nice local restaurant to get some Asian dishes with a great waitstaff.

Banchan: 3/5 kimchi- pretty fermented 3/5 eggs in soy sauce- decent 3/5 macaroni salad- not a fan of the stuff but standard 3/5 acorn jelly- all the flavor is in the chili sauce, wish they would add the sauce inside the jelly while making it 5/5 kkaktugi- my fave, less fermented than baechu kimchi 4/5 broccoli- how do they make something so bland- looking so flavorful? 4/5 mackerel radish- spicy, not a fan of radish that's not pickled but this is really good 4/5 potato strips- I love any type of potato 3/5 radish strips- wish it had less of the radish taste/smell but ok decent otherwise 3/5 mul naengmyeon $15- contains a slice of beef, standard, better when you add mustard & vinegar 4/5 cinnamon ginger tea- so nice of them to give something sweet to end the meal, has a bit too much cinnamon, so it's hella spicy (red hot) but really good otherwise 4/5 service was much better this time than any other time, really helps when you speak their language lol, I know they're always busy but they do need to pay a bit more attention as it's still hard to make eye contact once in awhile
