Beef Bulgogi Box

First time trying dokebi kitchen! Called to place my order and the staff were great. Upon arrival my food was ready to go. This box came in at just under $20 which is a bit high for lunch but comes with a decent amount of food! And the food is delicious. I am excited to try more of their food!

We love the fried chicken, best in town! All the sauces are terrific but the original with no sauce at all is my kid's fave take out meal.

They have a beautiful dining patio outside and a humble interior. The bathroom is easy to get to and spacious. Everything is at grade level which is even better for handicapped people. I had a party of six and we sat outside. There was a good mix of shade and sun for those who didn't mind being a little cold or hot. The restaurant was able to accommodate us on Easter Sunday an hour earlier than they originally do open, so we would be guaranteed a place to eat. (Every other option was fully booked a week in advance!) The food was really good. We had a mix of beer and boba shakes for those of us who are sober. The kimchi pancakes were perfect and no shellfish to be frightful of in regards to allergies. We tried their popcorn chicken and one was a little sweet and spicy and the other was plain. We shared edamame. And everyone was happy with their dishes whether it be the vegetarian japchae, beef bulgogi, dolsot bibimbap with an egg, house salad, soup, chicken katsu, etc! Only one star removed because the veggies were still more raw than cooked in the dolsot bibimbap. I know we were a large group, but cooking it a little extra would have been preferred. Happy eats!

Been craving to come back here for a while. Wanted to order…read moreeverything on the menus. Service from Steve is always great! We started with the banchan, then meat mandu and fried chicken wings came out. DDUKBOKEE came right after as all our appetizers. JJAMBONG -so big and tasty we had to take togo (sorry forgot to take a picture) HOT STONE BIBIM BAP added Beef - a little bland even with red sauce but still yummy KALBI -very tender & juicy (also forgot to take a picture lol) We had the above entrees to share After dinner we got free Melona melon bars!

First off the name was misleading because I was literally thinking it would be a food court setting…read morebut it is a restaurant, mind you not fancy, but still with wait service. The waitstaff were attentive and helpful. Only complaint about the setting is that every time someone went in or out, a rush of cold air would enter. Try not to sit too close to the door. As far as the food, daughter and I just ordered soon dubu (soft tofu stew) and ddukbokki (spicy rice cakes). We're Korean so flavor profile wise, it seemed to cater to non Korean palates. The soon dubu was not spicy and had too much of a sesame oil flavor and the ddukbokki was sweet with no spiciness at all. I think if you are non Korean, the seasoning was good and the food flavorful, just not the flavors we were expecting. Also, although the menu makes it seem like you have to pay for the banchan (appetizers), we did not, it came with the staple kimchee, and a couple other dishes. Not sure why they had prices on the menu unless they charge for refills? They also gave us this yummy ice cream bite for dessert which is usually unheard of in Korean restaurants. Having said all this, I do want to recommend this place, it was a nice local restaurant to get some Asian dishes with a great waitstaff.

I am Korean and therefore, am very picky about Korean bbq. I don't generally like all you can eat…read moreKorean bbq places because meat quality and overall taste tend to be subpar. But they are fun to go with a group, especially with non Koreans because they can try a variety of things. I've tried Kpot, Gen BBQ, and Let's Meat and they were all just so so. However Won Kbbq totally exceeded my expectations! WOW! Everything was fantastic- meats, banchans, appetizers, salads, and service!! Really, really solid and awesome. Bulbogi was tender and had the right amount to sweetness. Pork steak was also tender and perfectly seasoned. Brisket was thinly sliced and flavorful. Marinated chicken was also delicious. The servers were so friendly and attentive. They changed out the grill pan after each round of meats. We had a great lunch and will definitely be going back. My non Korean friend said this is her new favorite restaurant. A large parking lot is another huge bonus!

This place is huge, clean and fun…read more This place is a bit more expensive, but for good reason. Portions are large. Service is impeccable. They cook the food for you. Food is great. Unfortunately I have a pineapple allergy and could only eat the spicy and non marinated items. Be warned the spicy kicked my butt and I love spicy food. The table comes with dipping sauces, kimchi, some pickles radish and bean sprouts. The suggestion to make things a lettuce wrap was perfect. Had a great cooling effect, plus is was a great vessel for the house dipping sauce. That sauce was so good, garlicy, chili laced but not too spicy and perfectly balanced. We tried a few side dishes. I will say the spicy rice cakes were odd. They were fried and the texture to me was not great. Also I would never order side of rice again. It was dry, both under and over cooked and felt like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a while before we received it. I would definitely go here again.

This place is a little of a hidden gem and not quite like other Korean restaurants. But no gatekeeping here! We also came at a weird lunch time around 2pm so it wasn't really busy and we were seated right away. Once you enter, you'd quickly notice the very detailed beautifully hand painted murals on the walls and an abundance of painted butterflies. The attention to detail is impeccable! The menu is also very cute and I'm guessing handmade. It was pretty detailed and we appreciated learning about each dish before deciding what to order. We ended up ordering the Kimchi Pancake with seafood, the spicy bulkoki udon and the jeyuk udon. The kimchi seafood pancake was super crispy and filled with squid and shrimp! It also came with a semi sweet dipping sauce that paired nicely. Both udons came out piping hot and fresh! Udon had a nice chew to it, was loaded with vegetables as well as meat for each dish. The egg was fried and did not have a runny yolk. For sides, they gave us 4 things- a tomato salad, kimchi cucumbers, braised string beans, and bean sprouts. The tomato salad came in this cute apple shaped dish but neither of us really cared for it- this is completely biased though since we're not really fans of tomato. What we really did love was the kimchi cucumbers! Also at the end, they served us 3 pieces of cantaloupe which were very sweet. Overall, yummy food, cute shop, and friendly/nice staff! I'd come back to try their other food options in the future!

They don't take reservations, so timing is everything. I tried going twice around 6:30pm for dinner…read moreand both times there was a 1.5 hour wait, which is too long for me, so I left. The third time, I went back at 4:30pm and beat the dinner rush, which worked out perfectly. We sat inside but still had a beautiful view of the water. It was the perfect balance of comfort (sun protection!) and fun atmosphere. The service was timely, friendly, and super helpful in narrowing down the large menu to what I'd enjoy most. As for the food, all of the tacos were both delicious and reasonably priced. My personal favorites were the Jamaican jerk and the Korean short rib tacos. They're both packed with flavor and spice. Overall, it's worth planning your visit earlier in the evening to avoid the wait. Great tacos, good service, and a great view!

I love this place! I had no idea it was a fusion style restaurant until we sat down and was so…read morepleasantly surprised. It's location is ideal. Ample parking with gorgeous views of Manhasset Bay. There are 2 bars, one inside and one outside, which is great for folk who may need things a little cooler/warmer or quieter/louder. The decor is unique and hilarious (you have to have been to get it)! The food and drinks are outstanding. I never leave this place anywhere short of tipsy and stuffed. My favorite drinks are the Cocojito and the Asian Pear. Perfectly balanced and not overly strong or sweet. This is not the type of restaurant where you can have just one with your meal...you'll want to try them all! I could only order appetizers here and be satisfied. There is such a wide variety of apps with american and asian influence and they're all so tasty. I love the loaded totchos, asian style nachos, and habanero ribs. Make sure you don't overdo it with these, you'll want room for as many tacos as possible! The tacos! The stars of the show! You really can't go wrong (unless you're bad at tolerating spice...then choose wisely). I love the bang bang shrimp taco, birria, and southern comfort taco. I would never order more than 3 tacos for a main unless you skipped apps and are ok with getting a to-go container! For dessert I'd recommend the tres leches or mexi cannoli, you're not really missing out on much with the other options. But who says one more marg doesn't count as dessert ;)
