My husband, grandson and I were driving through Sandy, our grandson saw the restaurant and remembered it later when we needed lunch. We liked menu items that were not the usual fare. The salsa was chunky and spicy. Chips, homemade and fresh. I ordered the Cuban Black Beans soup and the fish tacos that I planned to share. Our grandson ordered chicken enchiladas and my husband ordered the Two Brothers enchiladas. We all really liked our choices. The bean soup was so good, hearty with a depth of flavors that would be wonderful on a cold winter day. The fish tacos were simple and perfect. The fish and been cooked in a light sauce, not fried or any goop on it. Just flaky white fish, some slaw and corn tortillas. There were 3 so we each had one. Our waiter was funny and attentive. The food is "American Mexican" at best... One measure of a good Mexican restaurant in my opinion is their salsa... the salsa here seems store-bought and watered down. The chips are typically stale-ish, the food for lunch is okay ($6.95 or so?), a little on the bland side - maybe that is good for people with sensitive tastebuds? Biggest issues: WHEN ARE THEY OPEN? Go down for lunch, middle of the week, sometimes he is open at noon, sometimes not. Sometimes at 11? Sometimes not. 1pm? Maybe..... Very inconsistent. Co-workers wold be like "Let's go to Two Brothers" -- walk down there at 12:30, closed. So we hit Thai Home instead (next closest place, LaBamba doesn't count as food) Issue #2 -- the jokes.... Once, funny. Twice, a routine. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. WE. COME. IN. is just bloody annoying. Two of us walk in "How many? Four?" - It is snowing outside "Table for 2 outside?" Stopped here from Mount Hood when I was absolutely starving after a snow hike. The owner was extremely nice and the service was awesome. Large menu, with Mexican food and barbecue dishes. The prices are absolutely crazy, I haven't had anything for $6-8 that wasn't fast food in a long time! I got the Colorado burrito, which came as a piping hot burrito with cubes of tender beef and plenty of Colorado sauce/cheese. My mom got the beef short ribs, which were meaty and tender and came with a delicious side of vinegary cole slaw. My friend got the quesadilla, which was extra cheesy with a crispy tortilla. All in all it was delicious, basic Mexican fare and well priced barbecue. Would definitely recommend this place, and I will be back! read more

We're pretty regular here. When we don't feel like driving to Gresham, this is our local go-to place for Mexican. When we need to eat on the cheap side, this is also our local go-to place. :) Big fans of the enchilada suiza. With rice and beans, you can get one for 5.50. Two for 7.00. Also really like the chili rellenos--some of the best we've had. Sure, it's small town, sure it's kind of a forehead slapper with the bad jokes, but this guy is just a hard worker who's trying to make a living selling good food. Living in Texas and then California for most of my life, I have had ALL the Mexican food. I have had the great, the just OK, and the awful. Walking into Two Brothers, in a small town in Oregon near closing time on a Tuesday, I braced myself for awful. I couldn't have been more wrong. The food was absolutely DELICIOUS! The owner and cook worked their butts off trying to get the food out at a reasonable pace even though they were the only people working and we were a last minute party of eight. The owner/waiter made us laugh the whole time, and we ended the dinner happy we took a chance on this unassuming little place. Go there yourself- you will love it! read more

If I had the choice I would have not put any stars. HORRIBLE. The waiter was extremely rude. I asked if it was red or green enchilada sauce and he responds by telling me to read the menu but it doesn't tell you on the menu! I couldn't handle what he said so I called him out for being rude and decided to give him money for chips (more than what he deserved) and leave and than he screams at me and tells me to leave even though I already was leaving. It gets better, as I was leaving he decided to make fun of my 3 year old daughters speech. He got right in my face and yelled at me in front of my kids!! My blood was boiling. Anthony and Paul are such whiners and delusional.I live in Sandy and have eaten at Dos Hermanos multiple times . The point about hot,raw onions in the salsa is nonsense! I take my friend there often and he very sensitive to onions and always loves the fresh salsa and chips. The food is authentic and delicious. Chili rellenos are great the margaritas are huge. My friends and family agree that Two Brothers is one of the best Mexican restaurants in the Portland metro area. Oh and Angel is hilarious! read more

My step-dad went here to get some food. The lady rolled her eyes and said that there was no room to seat him. Then he said that he wanted to-go and didn't need to be seated. She then told him that he could sit over there on the bench while he figured out what he wanted. When he was ready he made eye contact with her. Then another 3 minutes went by and he made eye contact again when she rolled her eyes and then took his order. He order then she said, " okay but it's going to take a reaaaaallllyyy long time"When he said that he wait. He then waited for like five minutes and then he took a call and left because of the horrible costumer service. Can't believe they would even try to discourage costumers. Terrible, terrible service. We found this place on a whim one night and decided to see what Sandy, OR had to offer. So glad we found Two Brothers because I can't wait to go back again. You are going to get the chips and salsa when you sit down, and that was some really nice salsa. A bit warmer than we were used to but we enjoyed it alot. As another reviewer said, the service is a bit slower but I think the family run, family style of the place makes sense here. The older gentlemen is quite humorous and the food came in good time, but there is not alot of staff working so menus, water, drinks are going to take a smidge longer. The food was great in my opinion. I had the Enchilada Sunrise and I cleared the plate. I normally will leave beans and or some rice, but it was all so good, I just kept after it. The wife's Enchilada Mole' was very good as well. Rice and beans were good well, the quality of the enchiladas was great and stuffed with chicken. The menu is primarily mexican food, but they offer up Texas/Mexican Barbecue which smelled delicious as well and we are hoping to return to give that a try. The Margarita's looked to be huge and the other table had quite a few empty vessels on it. We wished we could have ordered up a pair but the weather and distance from home had us chosing otherwise. The owner has a stupid sense of humor, asking my kids if they wanted margaritas. We use to go there a lot, the food is pretty good, not great. When my small son found a chicken bone the size of a paper clip in his first bite of burrito and couldn't continue eating, gagging at the bone I brought this to the owners attention. He laughed and said "yes it is from a real chicken" then he didn't apologize or offer him another item from the menu and charged us for it I swore we would never go back and we haven't. I want to give this place more stars because the owner was so nice but some of the food was a let down. We ordered off the lunch portion of the menu and it was too pricy for what you got. Writing negative reviews is painful especially when you want to and have to the best of your ability worked to find an amicable solution to the problem. The issue becomes even more complicated when you are doing the right thing ans your punished for it because the other person is unethical. This business establishment is not worth your time or money. They repeatedly demonstrate that they care more about the money then they do about you as the consumer. The owner and his wife are the type of people to spit in your food. As was told to me by the wife, you take what you're given and you eat it. You have choices when it comes to where you eat. Choose somewhere you're valued and the food is at least edible. Then trying to box up food, the owner rolls his eyes when I ask for a box for the chips and salsa.. THEN I look at my bill as it's some scribbled hand written deal, that he overcharged me for my dinner that was $9 on the menu, and charged me $4.00 for a side of guacamole from a bag!
