Their business practices are very extremely shady you should really pay very close attention to your bill that bill is going to be a different amount every single month mark my words. They will get you with a really cheap amount like $59.99 a month and then double that for you the next month we are going through hell with them especially if you are on a fixed income you really need to watch yourself with these people. Their pricing is not upfront and honest if the dollar amount is a promotion they should definitely state so in the contract it is month to month but still. They say we owe them hundreds of dollars that is b******* so supposedly they've given us service for free for four or five months that is very doubtful you have been warned!!!!!!!!! read more

Beware - TWN can randomly charge for cancelation if you don't give them 30 days notice! I'm not under any contract with them because I've been with them for over 10years. I've been with t w n Communications for 6 years, since summer of 2020 . I have never missed a payment and I have been paying extra every month and had over a $90 credit as of July 2025. I got sick this July and I was late making my payment and without notice they shut me off over $27 that I owed . There was no email there was no phone call there was no Communications whatsoever to let me know that I have missed a payment and to offer me the chance to make my payment before shutting me off . It's just very very rude . I am a disabled senior and rely on my Wi-Fi to communicate with the outside world as I live very rural and very far away from medical help in any other services . I feel the least this company could have done was reached out to me it would be different if I missed payments or had been a new customer and they didn't know me and my payment history but they did and it was very rude of them to shut off my services like this . read more

tech set up service for internet, left before making sure everything was working properly. Advised by tech support to get an IT company to come out and fix problems. iPads, Ooma landline, printer did not work for 3 weekscalled our tech guy and ended up paying him $240.00 to clean up the mess. Paying for highest internet speed but my ipad freezes constantly, have to reboot it at least 10 times a day. It is my understanding this is because of slow internet speed. Of course the router is located in our guest house not in our home office. We even purchased a booster but that doesn't seem to make a difference. A total ripoff. There is no quality or value. Internet is the full speed I pay for when it works (15 Mbps). The issue is that it drops out several times a night after 6 PM (peak hours). I happen to have experience in the WISP industry (as the IT Director of a different WISP before moving to a rural area), so I already know for a fact that it is their equipment and network causing the problem, not mine. I plan on calling them tomorrow, and if they try blaming my equipment, I will call them on it. With that being said, to the honest to god moron in a previous review who is stating that he caught them on his property trying to get some equipment... even if you have a trespassing sign, they weren't trespassing. Every WISP on the planet has a clause in their Terms of Service, which you agree to (AND SIGN), states that you will not restrict them from recovering THEIR EQUIPMENT from your property in the event of a cancelation or termination of service. Failure to do so is, in-fact, equipment theft... and this company happens to use the Cambium Canopy platform, which is some of the most expensive WISP equipment out there (between $150 and $500 PER module (the thing on the outside of your house) depending on model, broadcast frequency, modulation type (OFDM, FSK), and equipment generation (for example, the PMP450 platform from Cambium runs about $500)). read more

Terrible company. Slow speeds that are severely over priced, but serving rural areas, they know they have a captive audience. Was lucky to switch to another provider that is half the price and three times as fast. If you can get Starlink, I would highly recommend going with that instead of going with this company, it will be worth it in the long run. Tech support is terrible and keeps insisting it's the router and want to repeatedly send a new router when it's actually their tower equipment. Started TWN's service in November 2022, internet + phone. They FORGOT to charge me for the phone and TAXES until April billing. Big bill in April and they expect me to pay "right now". Thinking of going back to Suddenlink/Optimum, after this experience the pricing difference is not enough to care. read more

I was a long term customer with them for 10+ years with 3 different accounts and locations. When I was moving and needed to move my dedicated bandwidth from one location to another. Working from home it was the only way I could get a stable connection. I could not get a response for 2 months. Or when they said they would get back they did not. I ended up cancelling them and going with another provider with 3x higher speeds and 1/3 of what I was paying TWN. read more

Horrible speeds. The wifi is sent through radio waves from nearby towers. The speeds are so slow that it is often unusable. The speed is often less than .5 Mbps. They get away with this because they advertise speeds "up to" 4 Mbps. I check the speed with their own web site and rarely have speeds over 1 Mbps. They provide internet to areas without DSL or Cable. They are cheaper than most satellite providers, but have super slow speed. It is probably worth the extra money to have a better provider. read more

Horrible customer service. Do not handle requests fully and then leave customer thinking all is well only to be surprised. Cancelled service and stopped receiving invoices. Then 3 months later received a paper invoice indicating I had not paid my bill in 3 months and included fees. If I could rate less that 1 and still do a review I would do so. read more

Caution Advised!! Would not recommend company. "TransWorld Network"did not send me a bill, so Guess what? They added late fees.There was a $239.85 early termination fee, once we canceled. $100 uninstall charge, $67.95 for network, and yep you guessed it... A $12 equipment fee charge. This company specializes in providing internet access for rural locations where DSL or Cable is not available. They advertise relatively high speeds, 4mps to 10mps+ depending on service area. The highest they offer in my area is 6mps. Their main selling point is unlimited data, unlike Hughesnet or Exede. There is one other provider in my area who offers similar speeds and pricing as TWN, but they have an even worse reputation and reviews. I've been with TWN since 2011, started out on the 4mps plan and later upgraded to 6mps. Install was relatively fast and tech was on time. They do need to drill holes in your roof to install a dish and point it at a tower with direct line of sight. Pricing isn't cheap, around $80 a month with an install fee and contract with early termination fee. Read the fine print, ALWAYS. Unfortunately it's a shared connection, I once got up to 3mps during off peak hours, and about 1-1.5mps during peak hours. But for the past couple years I'm lucky to get 1.5, with speeds less than 56k dial-up being the norm, and anything I try to do just freezes up, making the service completely unusable. I've tried exploring other options, but there just isn't much to choose from. Cellular 4g LTE is getting better, with 5g being available in limited markets. I get very good 4g speeds at my home, but they have very low data caps before they throttle you down to 3g or less. If there were an unlimited 4g option, that'd be the way to go. We'll get there soon I hope. TWN's customer service has been OK. They have limited hours, so you'll have to call during those times. Not much they can do about slow speeds though. Called and complained several times, they monitor the speed for a few days, then call back and say it's a problem with the modem/router, I pay for a replacement and the problem remains. On the 4th one so far, they suggested I try #5. They do have an after hours tech line which I called once because a roommate pushed the reset button on the router and we needed to reprogram it, tech was helpful and got it done quickly. Bottom line, if you have DSL or Cable available, use it. If not, TWN might get the job done for you, but probably not. Avoid Hughesnet and Exede because the data caps. Try and find an unlimited 4g cellular connection when it becomes available. read more

This internet company is not to be trusted. I just moved to casa grands Arizona. And was not able to connect properly with century link. So was shopping around for a new provider. Found these guys. The company I wanted to go with I was told didn't service my home. These guys us micro wave and apparently out home is real close to the tower. I was Leary of the service but needed service in so my husband could work his webinars from home. They promised me that they would test the system and make sure it will work for our needs. My some plays on Xbox live. We have direct tv. We'll yes the speeds they advertised are coming into the home. The minute you play Xbox live it tanks. Don't even think about watching Netflix is takes over 24 to 48 hours to download and watch a movie. They admitted there system does not handle direct tv. We'll if the new this and I had direct tv before them. They obviously didn't test the systems sustainability with all needs of the household. They told me to "run around my house unplugging every thing connected to their system so it would work. " I have huge problems with that suggestion. 1 I am 100% disabled and can't run around my home disconnecting things from their system. 2 if I can't run any thing on their system what am I paying for. Every time I complained they told me the same thing. Now I'm a pretty bright person. So when I explained that if I unplug direct tv then I cannot watch my tv. So if I have to keep my direct tv unplugged for their services to work then their system wouldn't work in our home and they didn't test it as promised. By the was the service went in on a Friday I was calling them with the troubles that Sunday. We'll they are charging me a huge disconnect fee. On top of the fact that my husband had to go downtown to maintain a good internet connection. For work. They are crooked.. And unreasonable. They offered no other solutions other than to disconnect every thing from they system. Meanwhile I am in excruciating pain and awaiting surgery and really don't need this added problem. I need to find a way to get my husband home to help ease some stress off of me. We'll all they did was inflame the situation and hang up on me when I couldn't get the so-called supervisor to listen so I cussed him out. Not one of my finner moments I admit. 400.00 is the cost of 180 +90.=$670 the cost incurred to do business with them for less than 1 month. Not to mention the emotional stress and physical stress endured just dealing with them . They are a seriously FFFFFFF rated company. Absolutely awful internet service. This company shouldn't even get 1 star! It works intermittently for about 5 to 10 minutes at a time then goes down for no less than an hour and it does't matter if it's day or night and calm or sunny outside. I work from home and depend on internet service 100%. I can't work without internet. Even though I shared this with them via my various calls I am told that there is something going on in my area and there's nothing they can do until that's fixed yet they don't know when that would be. Granted I was told I wouldn't pay a bill until the issue is fixed but that doesn't help that I am loosing money and struggling to please my customers because I can't get done what they need. If I can't keep my customers then I can't pay my bill anyway so their offer is hardly beneficial to me. On today's phone call I was put on hold for about 15 minutes so that the representative could see what was going on only to be told that she didn't know and someone would call me back within 24-48 hours. I could write a lengthy review about Trans World Network but I will keep it short. I have it under the name "SignalPeak". Generally the people you talk to on the phone are very nice.. but they are either DUMB or they lie.. The service is absolutely awful.. it comes and goes and comes and goes. Unfortunately we have very few options and I am committed to my email address as a business. I have a few friends here that also use TWN and I can conclude that when my internet is off or slow so is theirs.. YET, when I call TWN they try to blame it on MY stuff.. then they want to send someone for a $50 service all when clearly the problem is theirs.. The antenna we connect to is a piece of junk about 4 or 5 miles away.. TWN's employees virtually all are almost new.. for some reason they cant keep employees. That in it's self is a bad sign. I wish I had options. If you have options I suggest you go somewhere else. read more
