I've bought a few things from TT in the past, and although I was happy with my purchases, my experience with customer service was so-so. Recently, a product I was looking at on the TT website had a normal price that was lined out by a sale price. When I went to order online, the cart total showed the original price, not the sale price. I called the customer service number, but after waiting 15 minutes and never speaking to anyone, I left a message regarding the order I'd like to place and the cost discrepancy of the item on their website. I never got a return call (even though I left contact info), so I guess I'll go elsewhere for my purchase. Purchased a rotopax 1 gal water container for use as an ice block in my cooler. It cracked on the second use. Twisted Throttle refused to warrenty the product claiming misuse although I was careful to fill well below the freeze line indicated on the container. Update: The part I had been waiting on apparently arrived at TT on Friday and, thanks to one of their customer service reps, it shipped it out overnight and arrived Monday morning. I still think they should be more clear and up front about how long back ordered products might take to arrive, ie - if a supplier is unreliable or whatever the reason but I've modified my rating based on the customer service rep reviewing the order history, acknowledging that there was a problem, and doing what they were able to in order to try to make up for it. Original review: I've had the exact same scenario that others have reported; Twisted Throttle represented that a product that was on back order would be in stock on a specific date in an effort to get me to place an order. The date came and went and when I contacted them I'm told that there was a delay but the product would be in stock in the next week. That date comes and goes. This continues and is as yet unresolved. As another reviewer stated, it's unfortunate that TT is the sole distributor for some brands like SW Motech in the United States. In the future I will certainly look at other retailers and, where TT is the sole distributor, I will look at other product options. read more

Customer Service, - not really. Eager to sell judging by emails and solicitations, but it when comes to answering questions about their products, not so much. Sent out an email with a question on their parts on a Monday, no answer after 48 hrs later. Called on Wednesday, was told they just had a spike in inquiries (oh really), would get back to me ASAP on the next business day, but that did not happen either. In the meantime the parts that I intend to purchase but have questions about are sitting in my TT online shopping cart, and they keep sending me reminders that I have stuff in my shopping cart and should check out ... The odd thing about the unforeseen spike in email inquiries that is supposed to cause such delay is, that it must have happened half a year ago as well, when I emailed them and did not get an answer, so I had to call in. read more

Phone calls may be slow But they have asked if you are going to call to be patient they have had a shortage of staff because of COVID. I have found many things out of stock but every other stores I tried was the same. People complain about back orders, face it, not one motorcycle store on line even Dennis Kirk, Amazon, and J&P cycles have enough parts in stock and you may have to back order. I came in just before Christmas looking for a gift. It was pretty busy in there, but I waited and waited and waited, and it was about 20 minutes later that a salesperson finally acknowledge me. I was the only woman in the store, and I got the impression that they didn't value a female customer as much as the store that was full of male customers. Ordered a set of cases and was told the bike specific mounts were on back order and would arrive at the store in 10 days, This timeline was fine by me, but when I called about a week later to check status they changed their tune and said they could't guarantee the delivery date they originally quoted me. I had to send back the cases and they charged me for an item I never received. Called and had it straightened out. It's a shame they are the distributers and sole vendor of SW-Motech racks and cases. This is my second home away from home. I am there, when I am not riding, sitting in the Cafe, working on my laptop. I bring them Donuts and Coffee from Dunkin even though they don't ask for it - why? Because I love them. I love how honest they are, relaxed, laid back; James with his laughter, Dave with his insight, John (when he is there) with his work ethic, every single employee in TT is a good person, not just a good employee - but a good person. Atmosphere, technical gadgetry, apparel (I switched to Macna from Rev'IT because of them) all in there. I can watch whatever I want on that screen - just ask James. We have bike nights, movie nights - come spring and when Forrest is back, we'll have our GS sandwich (no it's not a KamaSutra position) back. Top notch bike service too. If you ask them nicely, they will even lend you the toolset and you can pull the bike over by the benches outside and work on your bike - mount that mount you just bought on it yourself. Got stuck? Ask Dave for help. Need ideas? Find James. Need a part and want it manufactured? Yeap, you are at the correct place - of course it's going to cost you but at least you can get it done! Bike parking, car parking, green grass for grazing and regurgitating, even putting up cones and practicing really tight turns and then having a coffee break, wash up in the bathroom, relax in the couch - have your tyre changed, oil changed, try jackets, boots, helmets, I mean this is like Shangri La :) And it's right on my way home! So when we ride in the summer (practically every minute of the weekend) we pass through TT just to pass through TT and on the way back do it again. They are fortunately or not the only dealers for CooCase in the US. Let's just say that their installation and support instructions don't come with the product, and it was virtually impossible to install the tail case on my motorcycle. Sending them pictures didn't help - because they then sent some canned instructions which clearly didn't match the config on my bike. Ordered and received a throttle lock which, according to their specs, was the one designed to fit my bike. It did not; wouldn't even begin to thread into the handlebar. I called many times for assistance, to no avail. It is nearly impossible to reach anyone by phone. I returned the part only to be told they would charge a 25% fee for damaging it. It was in no worse shape than it was when I received it. I am not at all favorably impressed with customer service, quality of merchandise, the difficulty of contacting them, and their return policy. On Sept. 3, I ordered an Sw-Motech rack and the adapter for my Hepco topcase from Twisted Throttle's website. On Sept. 5 (a Saturday), Fed Ex delivered both to my door. A motorcycle webstore that delivers parts to your door in under 48 hours? Amazing! As an aside, the verdict is still out on the Sw-Motech system itself. It was easy enough to install on my old GS 500 and, so far, my huge Junior 45 top case hasn't flown off into the road. That said, I'm a little suspicious of the system as a whole, and especially of the plastic adapter plate. It's almost too ingenious. If the thing is still holding in a few years, I will be an Sw-Motech customer for life. read more

Horrible customer service, ordered a part a week ago and I called to get status on the shipment and they said because of computer problems they haven't got it out for a week. I get it and understand there is issues with computer, I called to ask if I could get overnight shipping and if he said sorry but we can't because they can't adjust the order I would of been okay and still given a 5 star rating. That didn't happen, I think his said his name was Jerrod and he was very rude and defensive that I was asking. I asked what happened and in a rude voice he just said computer problem, that's it and there is nothing we can do about. He never apologized and acted liked I was annoying him for even calling to ask for overnight shipping. I sent pictures of the item and the installation process and basically they tell me im doing it wrong...which is fine, sure ill try again. So i try again, send pictures again, and i don't hear back from them for a few days. Then SURPRISE turns out they sent me the WRONG ITEM. Heres where it get messed up. I've attempted at purchasing some MRA x-creen parts from this company for the past week. They seem to be making up the rules for representing MRA as they go! First I was told they couldn't get me the parts, then after I contacted the manufacturer, I contacted twistedthrottle again, this time I was told that the reason I was told they couldn't get me the parts, was because they thought I might be trying to duplicate the parts myself for resale! "Where the hell did they get that impression!!!!" The next time I contacted them was to obtain a different MRA kit that I needed. I was quoted a price and told they could get it for me. The next day I contacted twistedthrottle to order the kits and was told further research had to be done and they would get back with me on the "new" cost. A few days later, I was told "yet again" they could not obtain the parts for me, that the kits were for "replacement" parts only. I contacted the manufacturer again and was told just the opposite!!! Twistedthrottle is not worth the effort to support them and I would suggest no one purchase from them! I was assured at time of order that the part would ship out on March 8. Called Monday March 16 to check and was assured that the part would ship out next day. Now Thursday and the parts are said not to exist and can't be shipped. Save your time, money, and frustration and buy from a reputable retailer, which these guys are not. The product was decent, but the customer service is rude and unknowledgable about the products. I ordered a shadow line windscreen on their website, for my motorcycle. Pictures showed a smoke grey windshield with a black line of trim around the edge. The website claimed 60 day return if not completely satisfied. When it arrived, it was in a huge semi tranparent bag, with another bag inside, which had two pieces of cardboard sandwiching the windscreen. So I opened the package and the windscreen was labeled Satin Black. I immediately called customer service and spoke to Mike, he argued that Satin Black is the same thing as Shadow Line. Although solid black is offered beside shadow line, I did not order it. He refused to take the windscreen back, because on the packaging, which I didn't see until I opened it, there was a tiny sticker, saying no returns if opened. Never mind that you couldn't see the product, until you opened the package. He finally agreed to return it for a 20% restocking fee, another $25 for their mistake. I asked for a supervisor, guess what, he claimed it was him. I will never use this company again, not because they made a mistake but because, they refused to make good on their mistake. read more

I have been a faithful patron of this store for years. The people are great, the store is amazing and the products are quality and up to date. That being said I wish their prices were a little more competitive. I have slowly steered away from ordering with them as they consistently have the highest prices. Other competitors are killing their prices ( Rhymes with Godzilla)... All and all ..excellent store !! Highly recommended.
