Red Curry
Athavi J.

Service was excellent, quick in and out for a no-hassle casual meal. I got the drunken noodle with tofu and it was like 3.5/5. Though all the right ingredients were included, it was lacking depth. My friend got the red curry with shrimp (4/5) and that was comforting for a chilly night. Decor was homey and casual.

Dine in | Dinner | $10-20 First time eating at a place that was recommended from the Gluten-free community, and it was not intimidating. Food was fantastic. Nothing labeled Gluten-free on the menu, but the waiter told me exactly what was Gluten-free, what could be modified, and what was off limits. Small place, but very relaxed atmosphere. Had this at Dinner yesterday. Would definitely recommend and go back for. However, I'm confused about the 93.0 (A) rating - maybe it was an off day when the inspector came? Because the food was delicious.

Red curry with chicken for lunch!

Stopped by for lunch today. I had the red curry with chicken and it was great! The salad and spring roll were also tasty but beautifully presented. The waiter was kind and attentive but not invasive. My meal came quickly too. The restaurant is nicely decorated and Spotless! with a beautiful saltwater fish tank too Other dishes served at other tables looked appetizing and I'm planning on coming back!

We ordered the Tom Kha which was really good, Tom Yum that was not as good unfortunately. We also ordered the Pineapple Fried Rice. Overall I will say the food is alright. Service very nice and attentive. The place is nice inside.

We started with shrimp eggrolls, which were wrappers rolled around shrimp and seemingly nothing more-4 for $12. I got the Thai beef salad, my go-to. It was fantastic. The meat was tender and flavorful and I had enough for two meals! Charlie had the trout in a garlic sauce and t was so yummy! The sauce was sweet and savory with veggies added on top of the fish. We had a slice of light and fresh coconut cake that was just delicious. The atmosphere was busy but not chaotic. All the waiters were attending to all the tables. Service was adequate. I started with the shrimp egg rolls, which were divine. i loved that they had built-in handles to make it easy to dip them in the wonderful sauce. For my entree, I had the pineapple chicken fried rice. It was very flavorful and seemed like the rice might have been cooked in broth since the flavor was so rich. The portion was huge as well, so I couldn't eat it all. Most of the cocktail menu leans to the sweet side, as you might expect with a tropical-leaning cuisine. The servers are very hardworking, working furiously to manage the crowds. That leads to my only major gripe, which is that they don't take reservations currently. If you arrive after 6 on a Friday or Saturday night, you can plan on all the tables being full and a crowd of people standing in the doorway waiting. I've gone about 5:45 and been able to snag seats in the bar, but a few minutes after arrival every seat is taken. I visited before a DPAC show, and you would have to arrive early in order to assure finishing your meal in time.

The lime in the Nam Tok was my favorite part of the dish I had some with and aome without spice. For dinner we have had the Shrimp and Bomb chicken on the board specials, spicy Basil wiith beef and Spicy Cashew Nut with chucken. The shrimp dish was light, flavorful and spicy. The Bomb Chicken to me was a spin on sweet and sour... only liggtly sweet and a good spicy. The spicy basil and spicy cashew are heartier disher and full of flavor. Our server reccommeded a 3 out of 4 and to add more if not spicy enough. Excellent recommendation. Great family run restaurant and we thoroughly enjoy the great dishes and very generous portions.

Our server was funny friendly, and helpful. Great spot if seeking some solid Thai food. Would definitely return.

I have tried to 'let it slide' and hope for better and friendlier service on 'future' visits. Earlier today, October 6th, 2026, I was met with a hostile and sharp waiter. His frustration was not easily hidden on his face...in the least bit. I, generally, order an appetizer and an entree. I frequent the lunch menu often; and today, I just wanted a Silver Noodle Soup with chicken and shrimp. The waiter's English might have been a hindrance; yet, his mean nature should not have been visible especially towards me...a frequent patronizer of the restaurant. The waiter repeatedly said...'The cup of soup is just an appetizer.' I was find with that because the soup sizes are generous -- usually. The soup was delicious, yet, there did not seem to be the presence of shrimp. I wanted to bring this to the waiter's attention; yet, he 'zoomed' by me quickly; ignoring any attempt to make eye contact or further communication. After some time, the waiter asked if all was well. I responded Yes, and before I could address my 'grievance' about what appeared to be no shrimp in my Silver Noodle Soup; again, he 'blew me off' and zipped right back into 'avoidance' and 'hostile frustration.' A couple of times, as he walked by my table, he looked at me -- contemptuously and as if he had no regard for my presence in the restaurant. I have decided that I am not going to patronize this restaurant anymore. I deserve better in customer service. I do hope that the management will be more mindful of how to extend better customer service. The food is usually delicious and clean. yet, that customer service needs to be done better...Expeditiously.

My friend is from that area of the world and on her recommendation we tried this new place in downtown Durham. It was terrific, what a find! The restaurant's unique handmade paintings on walls and other Philippino decor was very eclectic and cool. They had a hand painted mural of the famous Chef Anthony Bourdain Which was cool but he's from New York so I'll have to ask the owner about that next time I come back. Lol The place was packed and we were walk ins but the owner was at the reception desk and told us to wait and she might be able to find us a table. We were in luck and she directed us to the back room. The server was extremely knowledgeable about all the dishes. Since I had my Philippino friend along she told us what she liked as well as the helpful server. The food was delicious and had a beautiful presentation. What I ate I can't pronounce so look at my pics of the menu ;) I had a bowl w beef filet, onions, tomatoes, cucumber lining the bowl w Jasmine rice and a fried egg on top. My friend had oxtail and the other had an appetizer of Lumplang Shanghai and entre of Pancit Behon, all food was extraordinary and large portions. No doubt that was why the place was packed! The Thai Chicken Salad tasted a bit like Thai / Lao style Laab (not sure with the difference is between Thai and Lao style) but with much less herbs and seasoning. The Drunken Noodles were pretty standard but it didn't have much spice to it. The Wonton Noodle Soup had a nice light broth but the Wontons didn't have much meat in them. A few of the tables were missing condiments (sriracha, hoisin sauce, chili sauce) but since it was pretty empty we were able to grab them from other tables. Overall not that bad for Thai food. Was pretty disappointed they didn't have some staples like Papaya Salad or Sticky Rice but food was good overall. I will say the napkins they provide are nice!

We went with three people, and, as soon as the dishes hit the table, we were completely blown away. The menu is perfectly curated (thankfully, not overwhelming), and honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on it. We kicked things off with the Nashville hot chicken wings, which packed a punch but were perfectly crispy, followed by the pork belly bao--oh my--it was so tender and flavorful, it practically melted in your mouth. The beef noodles? Unfortunately, we got so caught up in devouring them, we forgot to take a picture, but let me just say they were divine. Tender beef, savory broth, and noodles that soaked up all the goodness--you can't leave without trying them. The KFC skin was pretty crispy and good, but the actual chicken quality wasn't anything to write home about. The Hainan Chicken was pretty good, combining it with both of the sauces was very flavorful. The portion was a bit small but that makes sense at the M restaurants. The Biang Biang noodles while not authentic tasted alright. I liked how crispy chicken was (you have the option from crispy and grilled). Overall nothing stood out to me here. The ambiance is definitely darker like most M restaurants I've been too. One thing I noticed is that it took us a while to get water refills.
